Chapter 1748 - 1752: Now You’re My Wife
"Unless you want to break the rules?"
"Alright then, I agree."
"Repeat."
"No junk food, no alcohol, no speeding, no running around aimlessly, no cooking by myself!"
"Good girl!" Leng Zirui hugged her lightly, "Take good care of yourself, I’ll be back."
"You too."
In the pocket, the phone gently vibrated.
Leng Zirui held her with one hand and reached for the phone with the other.
"Boss, I’m downstairs."
"Okay, I’ll be right down." Leng Zirui hung up and ruffled her hair with his big hand, "Honey, I have to go."
"I’ll see you off."
Xu Xia let go of his waist, and Leng Zirui dragged the fully packed large suitcase she had stuffed.
They walked out the door together, got into the elevator, and he kept reminding her tirelessly, "Remember to lock the door. If someone knocks, look through the peephole first and only open if it’s someone you know. Don’t forget to take the key when you go out..."
Xu Xia just smiled, "Don’t worry, I’m not a three-year-old, I used to be on my own."
"Nonsense!" Leng Zirui rolled his eyes at her, "The past is the past; now is now. You were just Xu Xia before, but now you’re my wife."
"Who says I’m your wife!" Xu Xia pouted, but her heart was filled with sweetness.
The elevator door opened again, and they had arrived on the ground floor.
Following him down the steps, Xu Xia’s smile began to stiffen.
Leng Zirui noticed her expression, felt a pang in his heart, but only smiled, "By the way, honey, I left something for you on the bookshelf."
"What is it?" Xu Xia asked curiously.
"You’ll know when you see it." Leng Zirui handed the suitcase to Seo Shaochuan who came up, pinched her cheek, and then pretended to panic, "Oh no, I think I forgot to lock the door."
"No way, I remember you locked it!"
"Really didn’t, I just closed it. Quick, go upstairs..."
"Then I won’t see you off. Call me if it’s convenient before you board the plane." Seeing his urgency, Xu Xia quickly ran into the elevator and pressed the floor button.
As the elevator door slowly closed, Leng Zirui waved at her with a smile.
Lifting his head, watching the floors rise one by one, until she left at his floor, he then turned and rushed down the steps and jumped into the car.
"Let’s go!"
Xu Xia hurriedly rushed out of the elevator back to the door, tried to push it open but couldn’t, then she breathed a sigh of relief.
"What memory, clearly locked properly..."
Halfway through the sentence, she suddenly realized, someone like him would never forget to lock the door.
He just didn’t want her to stay alone watching him leave.
"Leng Zirui, you asshole!"
She cursed quietly, turned, and ran to the end of the corridor. Looking out the window, she saw the SUV he was in slowly driving out of the community.
Watching his car leave, Xu Xia walked back to the door, took out the key, and opened the door, heading straight to the study.
Then immediately saw the note on the bookshelf.
"There’s a photo album beside it, the CD contains footage of my performances at university along with my racing footage documentation. With so much Leng Zirui accompanying you, you shouldn’t miss me too much, right? I bet you’re touched enough to cry now. Open your phone album, there’s a surprise inside."
Xu Xia fished out her phone from her pocket and opened the album.
The first photo was of him, pulling a ridiculously funny face, making her burst out laughing.
