Setting down the bowl of pork liver soup he had prepared, Leng Zimo flared up again upon seeing Luo Xiaoqian daydreaming outside the kitchen door.

"What are you dazing there for, waiting for me to feed you?"

Time was already tight, and he had to take her clothes shopping soon. Yet this girl, she actually had the mood to stand there lost in thought?!

"Coming!"

Luo Xiaoqian snapped back to reality, walked over to the table, sat down, and took a spoonful of soup, bringing it towards her mouth.

"Hey!"

Before she could bring the soup to her lips, Leng Zimo had already growled again.

Raising her face, Luo Xiaoqian looked at him unclearly.

What did she do again? Wasn’t it him who asked her to eat?

"It’s hot!"

Leng Zimo shot her a glance, frowning as he took a seat opposite her, picking up his coffee.

Across from him, Luo Xiaoqian didn’t respond but instead bowed her head and gently blew on the soup to cool it before bringing it to her mouth.

The soup was freshly heated, so naturally, it was hot. She blew on it as she ate, but she didn’t eat quickly.

Glancing at his watch and then observing her sluggish movements, Leng Zimo put down his coffee cup, turned to get an empty bowl, ladled more soup into it, and brought it to his nose. Smelling the scent of pork liver wafting through the air, he could only frown in distaste.

He never ate offal, and he detested the gamey taste of liver the most.

Despite this, he still managed to suppress his revulsion, stirring the soup in the bowl with a spoon, blowing on it to cool it down, and reaching over to take the soup spoon from her hands. He forcefully set the cooled soup in front of her.

"Eat up quickly!"

Luo Xiaoqian glanced up and noticed the gauze on his left hand. She pursed her lips.

"Your hand, is it okay?"

She seemed to remember him covered in blood last night, and only now did she notice the gauze on his hand. Unsure of the severity of the injury, she was concerned since he needed his hands for playing the piano, they were just as precious to him.

This girl, at least she had some conscience!

Leng Zimo pulled back his left hand, "Stop talking nonsense, eat up, there’s not much time left!"

Though his tone was still commanding, it had softened involuntarily.

Did he think she was genuinely concerned about him? It was just a casual question!

Scorning her in his heart, Luo Xiaoqian buried her face and sipped the soup.

The temperature was just right.

"Eat the liver as well!"

Noticing that she was only drinking the soup and not eating the liver, he spoke up again.

"I don’t want to eat it!"

Luo Xiaoqian protested quietly, disliking offal just as much as he did. If it weren’t for his tyranny, she wouldn’t want to sip even a mouthful.

Food is the best medicine; doesn’t he know that pork liver soup is the best for enriching the blood?

Leng Zimo glared at her, "Eat it all up!"

With no choice, Luo Xiaoqian picked up a piece of liver and brought it to her mouth, her hand secretly reaching for a piece of paper, trying to spit it out. But as soon as she looked up, she met his piercing gaze; it was like he had already seen through her thoughts.

Rushing to avert her eyes, she forced herself to swallow the liver down with difficulty.

Only after watching her finish the entire bowl of soup and liver did Leng Zimo stand up contentedly, retrieving a stack of papers from a paper bag in the cupboard.

"Let’s go!"

To Luo Xiaoqian, it was a relief. There was still plenty of soup left in the pot, and if this fellow actually wanted her to finish it all, she’d rather choose death.

Following him out of the dining room, she saw him going for his bag on the table, so she went to the foyer to change shoes.

Wearing sweatpants naturally called for canvas shoes.

Unable to tie laces with one hand, she watched as he approached. Deciding to hastily bunch the laces into a knot and stuff it to the side of the shoe, she got up quickly to give way.
