After rejecting my celebrity husband

Chapter 1364 - 1368: His Eldest Brother, Leng Zimo

Chapter 1364 - 1368: His Eldest Brother, Leng Zimo

Leng Zirui leaned against the desk, casually pulling a cigar from the box on the table and fiddling with it between his fingers. "Will he die?"

Shen Yizhou put down the phone in his hand, "I will do everything I can to save him!"

Leng Zirui nodded lightly, "You guys should go back and rest. I’d like to be alone for a while."

"Okay."

Shen Yizhou understood his feelings and didn’t offer any comfort. He walked over, supported Tong Ya’s arm, and left the study together.

Leng Zirui picked up the lighter from the table, placed the cigar between his lips, lit it, and took a deep drag.

The bluish smoke swirled around, blurring his face.

The brothers had a four-year age difference. Since childhood, Leng Zimo had taken care of him like an elder brother. Although Zimo was indifferent by nature, he had always been very fond of Leng Zirui, and the bond between the two brothers was always strong.

In those days, the first car Leng Zirui received was a gift from Leng Zimo. It was with Zimo’s first earnings that the two brothers went to the car dealership together. Leng Zimo didn’t choose the sports car he wanted for himself but instead chose the four-wheel-drive vehicle that Leng Zirui had his heart set on.

At the time, Leng Zirui was only fourteen. After the brothers drove the car out of the dealership, Leng Zimo drove it straight to the outskirts, then got out of the car and gave the driver’s seat to him.

It was then that Leng Zirui realized the car wasn’t chosen because Zimo liked it, but because he did. Later, by the time he finally got his driver’s license, Leng Zimo was already famous worldwide. Knowing his love for racing, Leng Zimo arranged for him to enter car races, disregarding Leng Lin’s objections, and even set aside his pride to endorse car manufacturers, just to secure sponsorships and an opportunity for him to compete. And back then, Leng Zirui didn’t disappoint Leng Zimo; he won first place in his first national league appearance.

From that point, there was no stopping him. Within a year, Leng Zirui quickly grew into a professional racer, earning a place in international rankings.

Though Leng Zirui didn’t continue on the racing path later and instead donned a military uniform, his admiration and gratitude toward his older brother Leng Zimo remained unwavering.

Now, with such an incident happening to this person, how could he not be heartbroken?!

As the smoke dispersed, this young general, who always loved to laugh and would even joke with nurses while having bullets removed on the operating table, now had eyes brimming with tears.

"Brother, you must live on, live well!"

...

...

Two rooms away, in the luxurious bedroom.

Luo Xiaoqian sat on Leng Zimo’s lap, carefully helping him dry his hair. Only after did she stand up from his lap, "There, now you can go to sleep!"

"Give it to me!" Leng Zimo took the hairdryer from her hand, "You lie down first."

"Okay."

Luo Xiaoqian slipped into the bed, leaning against the headboard, her gaze fixed unwaveringly on his back, watching him walk into and out of the bathroom, finally feeling a sense of relief in her heart.

She knew Leng Zimo was proud and strong-willed; though worried about him, she dared not show it too plainly, fearing it would weigh on his spirits.

"Come on, hurry up and join me in bed!" she teased playfully, patting the empty spot beside her.

Coming over, lying down next to her, Leng Zimo gently embraced her and reached up to turn off the small lamp by the bed, "Sleep."

Luo Xiaoqian leaned against the headboard, cradling his head in her arms, "I recently learned a new song, would you like me to sing it to you?"

"It’s too late; get some rest," Leng Zimo said from within her embrace.
