Leng Zimo helped Luo Xiaoqian take a bath and settled her on the pillow.

"You sleep first, I’m going to wake Mo Mo up to go to the bathroom."

Standing up, Leng Zimo turned and walked to Mo Mo’s room across the hall. After waking the little guy up at night, he came out and saw Shen Yizhou leaning against the wall waiting for him not far away.

Leng Zimo returned to the bedroom, pushed open the door and looked inside, seeing Luo Xiaoqian leaning on the pillow, flipping through a book she had been reading these past few days. He walked in and raised his hand to take the book from her and placed it aside.

"It’s late, go to sleep early."

Luo Xiaoqian lay on the pillow. "What about you?"

"I have two emails to handle. After that, I’ll be back." Leng Zimo tidied her hair. "You go to sleep first, no need to wait for me!"

He turned off the small lamp by the bed for her, then turned around and walked out. Making a gesture to Shen Yizhou, the two of them went into the study together.

"How do you feel?" Shen Yizhou asked with concern.

"Still the same, headaches, and sometimes I experience short blindness," Leng Zimo replied.

Shen Yizhou furrowed his brows. "I’ve contacted the professor, and his opinion is that in your condition, the sooner you have the surgery, the better. Every day we delay, the risks increase, so..."

Leng Zimo looked at him solemnly. "Give me one more week. After a week, I’ll immediately undergo the surgery."

Shen Yizhou tried to persuade him further, "Zimo..."

"Don’t try to persuade me anymore, I’ve already decided." Leng Zimo interrupted him. "I need to go back, otherwise, Xiaoqian will get suspicious."

Shen Yizhou left the study and returned to the guest room. Leng Zimo took another pill, handled some emails, and after confirming that the pill had started to take effect, he returned to the bedroom. Leng Zimo froze and quickly hung the pajamas back on the hanger, then reached for another hanger beside it, "Is that so? Maybe I took the wrong one because I didn’t turn on the light. Oh, I suddenly remembered I forgot to turn off the light for Mo Mo; I’ll go and do that first..."

Turning around, he walked towards the direction of the door by memory.
