Chapter 590 - 571: Post-Traumatic Syndrome

Chapter 590 - 571: Post-Traumatic Syndrome

Lou Xi had been resting at home for almost half a month, during which time Qin Mobai often brought his work home to do, sometimes staying at home for a few days to keep Lou Xi company.

The weather was nice that day, and Qin Mobai suggested to Lou Xi that she go out and get some sun, as a way to relax her mood.

Since coming home from the hospital, Lou Xi hardly left the villa, saying she was cut off from the world was not an exaggeration.

Qin Mobai was worried that if things continued this way, Lou Xi’s mental issues would become more serious.

With a mix of insistence and persuasion, he finally got Lou Xi into the car.

"Where are we going?" Lou Xi let Qin Mobai fasten her seatbelt, and asked casually.

"The flowers in the botanical garden are blooming, I’m taking you to see them."

Although it was the end of autumn, not the peak season for flowers to bloom, Qin Mobai had his ways to make them bloom when he wanted to take Lou Xi out.

Half an hour later, Qin Mobai brought Lou Xi to the botanical garden.

It wasn’t the weekend, so there were very few people in the garden.

Qin Mobai led Lou Xi through a special passage, explaining each plant they passed.

He was knowledgeable, there was nothing he didn’t know.

But Lou Xi was uninterested in these plants; his words went in one ear and out the other.

Finally, Qin Mobai led Lou Xi to a sunroom that didn’t seem to be open to the public, but from the outside, they could see it was filled with many Lotus flowers.

Aquatic Lotus, with white blossoms that had a touch of yellow stamens, looked extraordinarily soothing.

Lou Xi walked toward the sunroom unconsciously, while Qin Mobai followed slowly behind her, without disturbing her.

Green plants always bring an invigorating and lively feeling, and Lou Xi felt that her long-dormant thoughts were being gradually awakened the moment she stepped into the sunroom.

At this moment, a woman wearing a work uniform approached, speaking to Lou Xi with special warmth: "These Lotus flowers were planted by visitors, they grow well with division planting, would you like to try planting a few?"

Lou Xi looked up, a bit puzzled, at the woman and asked, "Can I?"

"Of course you can, after you’ve planted them, you can choose to take them with you, or leave them here."

"I’m afraid... I won’t be able to keep them alive." Lou Xi shook her head, her gaze flickering.

"Lotus has a very strong vitality, as long as you regularly provide them with nutrient solutions, they will grow well."

"They won’t die?"

"They won’t." The woman affirmed, encouraging Lou Xi to plant the Lotus.

She demonstrated to Lou Xi how to separate a Lotus from the cluster and placed it into an individual glass bottle, it looked very simple.

But Lou Xi shook her head, afraid that even simple actions might kill the Lotus.

"Then think about it, I won’t disturb you." Saying that, the woman left the tools there, letting Lou Xi make her own decision.

"Thank you." Lou Xi said softly, her gaze full of hesitation.

Moments later, there was only Lou Xi in this corner of the Lotus sunroom.

The woman walked up to Qin Mobai and shook her head at him.

"Your wife might have PTSD, post-traumatic stress disorder, similar to your case back then." The woman was not an employee of the botanical garden, but a psychologist. Her teacher was Qin Mobai’s attending physician back then, and she had inherited his legacy and was still helping Qin Mobai with treatment a few years ago.

Qin Mobai hadn’t contacted her in the past six months.

If a patient doesn’t reach out to a doctor, it means the patient has recovered.

"She just had a miscarriage." Qin Mobai’s gaze fell on Lou Xi not far away, saying in a deep voice.
