Sang Yanqing sighed internally.
Why were they looking at her? She didn’t know anything.
From her bag, she fished out a bottle of medicine. “Do you want some?”
Director Lu and the screenwriter, in perfect sync, each took a Sisi quick-acting heart pill from the bottle and swallowed it.
Meanwhile, in another lane, a car approached.
The license plate belonged to Sijiu, and the car bore the Yu family crest.
Inside the car.
Yu Wenhuai was fuming. “That girl, the older she gets, the more rebellious she becomes. I’m her father! What can she possibly gain by following that cripple?”
As long as Old Master Yu was around, Yu Xiheng had a place.
But once the old man was gone, could Yu Xiheng still find a place in the Yu family?
His assistant tried to calm him down. “Sir, Miss Yu Tang is very close to madam. Her passing was a huge blow. She’ll come around eventually.”
“Close? Her mother died when she was very young. What does she know about feelings?” Yu Wenhuai’s anger flared even more. “Her aunt treats her so well, but every time she comes home, her attitude is awful. It’s better she stays at school, out of sight and out of mind.”
The assistant stayed silent, not daring to say more.
Yu Wenhuai held his anger in check, waiting for the car to move forward.
His eyes glanced to the side and saw another vehicle. He frowned. “Who are those people?”
“Sir, that’s a film crew,” the assistant said, peering out. “There are stars heading in to shoot.”
“Shooting a movie?” Yu Wenhuai sneered. “How delusional.”
If he couldn’t get in, how could a film crew?
The assistant’s eyes widened when he saw a girl alight from the car.
She wore a sun hat, her legs long and straight, her skin glowing like cold jade under the sunlight.
She turned her head, speaking with the guards at the gate.
The assistant was stunned by her beauty, muttering after a few seconds, “Sir, that’s Miss Si!”
Yu Wenhuai looked over, his gaze narrowing on Si Fuqing’s breathtaking face. “She is indeed very beautiful.”
Everyone who had seen Si Fuqing in person said the camera didn’t do her justice.
She was the kind of person who stood out even in casual wear, her beauty striking and captivating.
“Sir, it looks like they’re having trouble getting in,” the assistant said excitedly. “This is a chance for us to help her.”
Yu Wenhuai nodded. “Yes, go ahead.”
The Yu family needed to win Si Fuqing over, though his business had no overlap with the entertainment industry.
This was an opportunity not to be missed.
The assistant quickly got out and headed straight for “The Nation’s Heroine” crew.
Soon, the car arrived at a cluster of wooden cabins.
“Miss Si.” Chen Ying stood before the central cabin. “This way.”
Si Fuqing got out and entered the cabin with Director Lu and the screenwriter.
The camera crew was placed in another cabin.
Electricity was scarce here, and the fireplace burned brightly.
As soon as Si Fuqing entered, she was wrapped in a large coat.
“It’s cold here,” Yu Xiheng’s voice came from above her. “There’s a constant storm. Wear this.”
He fastened the coat’s straps and buttons for her.
Si Fuqing raised her hands. “I’m a wrapped bun now.”
“Yes,” Yu Xiheng said, raising an eyebrow. “Ready to be boiled.”
Nearby, Feng San and Xi Jiang handed down coats to the shivering Director Lu and the screenwriter and brought warm tea.
“Don’t head north,” Feng San warned. “If you go out, let us accompany you.”
Director Lu, warming up with the tea, agreed. “Absolutely, thank you.”
His thoughts had come to a halt the moment he saw Yu Xiheng draping a coat over Si Fuqing.
Director Lu knew that the defenses at the North State border were strict, even blocking the Yu family’s vehicles. Yet, a single call from Si Fuqing had brought all of them inside.
Director Lu looked at Si Fuqing with newfound respect.
After greeting Yu Xiheng, he and the screenwriter tactfully left with Feng San.
“Here, my auntie made this,” Si Fuqing said, placing a lunchbox down. “It’s safe to eat.”
Yu Xiheng took the chopsticks, placing the lunchbox in the middle. “Eat together.”
“You eat,” Si Fuqing said, holding a cup. “I’ve eaten, just need some hot tea.”

In An City.
North State No. 1 Middle School had given the senior students enough time for self-study.
Nian Yi’an was at a bar, organizing his notes.
Beside him, Yuejian was mixing drinks.
The bar wasn’t open at this hour, but Yuejian knew the bartender and had special access.
Suddenly, she paused, closing her eyes before opening them again.
Two small ants.
One Class-A, one Class-B.
Yuejian looked at her hands, pondering.
Which hand should she use?
