After Changing to the Ruthless Way, the Brothers Cried and Begged for Forgiveness

Chapter 434: You Get Out Too

Chapter 434: You Get Out Too

Huo Shao Yan felt the urge to stand and agree, but seeing that no one else moved, he suppressed his impulse and continued to observe the reactions of those around him.

After Tu Xiao’s shout, the silence of the group enraged him. “What’s this supposed to mean? Am I the only coward here? Are you all pretending to be saints now? Don’t tell me you’ve never harbored malicious thoughts. What are you trying to prove by acting all righteous?”

“Tu Xiao, calm down,” Shui Qiu Bai said with a frown.

“Calm down? I can’t! If you’re all rushing to your deaths, go ahead. I’m not stopping you, but don’t expect me to follow.”

With that, Tu Xiao angrily sat down, turning his head away.

“Then don’t go. Who’s begging you to?” Jin Yuan sneered coldly. “I said from the beginning we didn’t need you, but you insisted on tagging along. Now you want to throw accusations? Ridiculous.”

Jin Yuan’s sharp words redirected everyone’s attention to her.

Standing abruptly, she grabbed Yu Zhao’s arm. “No need for you all to worry about us anymore. I’ll take Liu Yun and leave now.”

Yu Zhao, who had been idly watching the spectacle, was suddenly pulled along by Jin Yuan.

The others, naturally, couldn’t just watch Jin Yuan take her away and immediately moved to block her.“Step aside!”

“Jin Yuan! Calm down!”

“Get lost!”

“Jin Yuan, let’s talk this through. Don’t act recklessly.”

“You get out too!” Jin Yuan snapped back.

The room erupted into chaos.

“Enough!”

Feng Jiu Si, always composed like jade, suddenly exploded, lowering the room’s air pressure drastically. The group froze, silenced by his sudden outburst.

“Jin Yuan, do you think you alone can protect Liu Yun in the God-Abandoned Land?”

“Tu Xiao, no one forced you into this. If you want out, leave quietly. There’s no need for this commotion.”

“Those who still wish to head to the God-Abandoned Land, stay. The rest can leave now.”

Intimidated by his commanding presence, no one spoke. Once he finished, the room filled with quiet deliberation as everyone began weighing their options.

Tu Xiao took a step toward the exit but faltered. Seeing no one else react and noticing the dark, stormy look on Feng Jiu Si’s face, he hesitated. Ultimately, he remained inside.

Once everyone was seated again, Feng Jiu Si’s expression softened. Turning to Yu Zhao, he asked, “The Jade Ruyi Liu Yun carries is too conspicuous. Is there a way to conceal it?”

“Not just the Jade Ruyi, but her face too. Cover everything,” Huo Shao Yan chimed in.

All eyes fell on Yu Zhao.

It was true—cultivators rarely had unattractive appearances. Yet Yu Zhao’s beauty was especially striking. Even in this room, her skin glowed like silk woven from silver threads. Her mere presence would undoubtedly draw trouble in the God-Abandoned Land. The best course of action was to diminish her presence entirely.

Reluctantly, Tu Xiao pulled out a Glazed Bracelet and tossed it onto the table.

“Wear this. It’s impervious to anyone below the Tribulation stage.”

A glimmer of something flashed through Yu Zhao’s eyes, but she didn’t reach for it.

Jin Yuan picked up the bracelet without hesitation and personally fastened it onto Yu Zhao’s wrist, grumbling about Tu Xiao hiding such a treasure until now. Her remarks nearly drove Tu Xiao to another fit of rage.

After some discussion about preparations, the group disbanded.

Three days later.

Huo Shao Yan opened the door to find an unfamiliar woman standing outside. He jumped in surprise. “Who are you?”

“Huo Young Master,” said the woman, her voice instantly recognizable.

Realization dawned on him, and he circled her in amazement. “That bracelet is incredible! Liu Yun, I can’t even tell it’s you anymore.”

Yu Zhao smiled faintly.

When the others saw her, they too expressed their surprise and marveled at the depth of the Tu family’s resources. With their preparations complete, the group headed to the largest dock on Divine Tree Star.

Despite being a mid-tier Small World in the Southern Region, Divine Tree Star was unusually bustling due to its unique geography and the many cultivators passing through.

As Yu Zhao walked along the street, she noticed that Nascent Soul cultivators were scarce. Most of the people around her were far beyond her ability to discern.

There were two ways to reach the God-Abandoned Land from Divine Tree Star: traversing the stars through sheer physical strength or boarding one of the starships specially designed for the journey. The former was time-consuming and arduous, so most chose the latter.

Upon arriving at the dock, they were met with a sea of people. Ahead of them loomed a massive starship, its dark purple hull stretching a hundred zhang long and thirteen zhang high. Cultivators could be seen moving about on board.

“Wait here. I’ll get the tickets,” Feng Jiu Si instructed. He had clearly done his research on the process and disappeared into the crowd.

Yu Zhao let her gaze wander aimlessly until it froze, her eyes widening in disbelief.

“What are you looking at?” Jin Yuan noticed her strange expression and followed her line of sight, but saw only a swarm of heads.

“Nothing,” Yu Zhao replied, her voice calm though her heart thundered in her chest. The pounding was deafening in her ears.

Jin Yuan remained skeptical.

“I just thought I saw someone familiar, but on closer inspection, I must’ve been mistaken,” Yu Zhao explained.

Jin Yuan dropped the subject.

After nearly a stick of incense’s time, Feng Jiu Si returned with six tickets. “The boarding line is up ahead to the right. Follow me.”

They began moving forward as a group.

“How dare you grope me, you scum!” A woman’s furious shout pierced the air from the crowd ahead.

Suddenly, a powerful force rippled outward. Those unable to dodge were knocked down, creating a domino effect of fallen bodies.

The scene descended into chaos, but Yu Zhao and her companions reacted quickly, avoiding the commotion.

Peering forward, they saw a red-haired woman dressed in black standing amidst the downed crowd. She had one foot planted firmly on the chest of a lecherous man, her expression filled with unyielding menace.

The man’s chest had collapsed inward, blood streaming from his nose and mouth. His terrified eyes pleaded for mercy, but all he could manage was to sputter bloody foam.

“Stop!” Two figures suddenly darted out from the dock’s front, rushing toward the woman.

Hope flickered in the man’s eyes.

The woman sneered, twisting her foot. With a sickening crunch, the man’s eyes bulged as his life force swiftly drained away.

Disdainfully, she used his clothing to wipe her shoe clean before leisurely stepping back.

The late arrivals’ faces darkened. “Causing trouble on Divine Tree Star’s dock is forbidden.”

“I wasn’t causing trouble. I was taking out the trash.”

“You’re coming with us,” one of them said coldly.

The woman smirked, pulling out an item and tossing it to one of them. Upon seeing it, his expression immediately shifted to one of respect. Returning the item to her with both hands, he grabbed his companion, and they quickly retreated.
