After Breaking the Persona, I Reach the Peak of My Life

Chapter 700 - 690: Kill Mission

Chapter 700 - 690: Kill Mission

This was Bi Xia’s first time undergoing this kind of training. Although she had experienced it in space simulations before, it wasn’t as formal as this. This time, 007 had warned her that in this mission, death means death. She would experience the most realistic form of death, and if she got injured, she would truly feel the pain of being injured. Even if she fell ill, she would feel the discomfort of being ill.

After organizing the team, Bi Xia turned to look deep into the jungle, "Is everyone ready?"

"Ready!"

Looking at those familiar yet unfamiliar faces, Bi Xia waved her hand, "Let’s go."

More than 20 intruders had entered, and their mission was to clear them out, to eliminate all the pests.

Although the mission assigned to her was to kill five intruders without any casualties, neither she nor her team could afford to lose five people.

But Bi Xia was very clear deep down; she refused to let anyone in her team die.

Even though these were just simulated people generated by the system, and they were all made up of data, Bi Xia knew that through their interactions, they genuinely regarded her as their captain and truly trusted her.

So, she absolutely would not allow any one of them to leave this world!

"Captain, there’s an anomaly at one o’clock direction, please advise." A team member’s voice crackled through the headset. Bi Xia’s sharp eyes narrowed slightly, and she raised her hand to signal them to get down.

"Number One, report your findings," Bi Xia commanded.

Number One lay prone in the jungle; he had the best eyesight and was the sniper of the team. He stared intently in the one o’clock direction. Many things couldn’t be seen with the naked eye, and even the intruders now would disguise themselves. So, what they needed was patience.

Whoever lost patience first would lose.

Suddenly, there was a stir in the one o’clock direction. A piece of cloth, not belonging to their team, flashed by. Number One paused sharply and reported, "Target spotted, target spotted, location at one o’clock behind the tree, dark brown."

"Estimate the situation," Bi Xia commanded.

"A sniper, but doesn’t have my patience," Number One said, chuckling.

Bi Xia couldn’t help but smile faintly, "Well then, our great sniper, one shot to take them out?"

"One shot to take them out!" Number One responded while aiming. A muffled sound came from the grass at one o’clock, and then a dark brown figure fell behind the tree.

"Nice!" Number One snapped his fingers and grinned at Bi Xia not far away.

Number One was a northerner, with a wild look on his rugged face, and the fierceness between his brows matched his sniper designation. But paradoxically, he carried the innocence of a big boy. For instance, right now, when he looked at Bi Xia, he had only one purpose.

Bi Xia extended her hand, giving Number One a thumbs-up. Seeing the big boy’s smile, she smiled too, and raised her hand, "Move forward."

Jungle clearing, difficult because of the surrounding dense forest, made it hard to distinguish the enemy once they camouflaged in their attire. Hence, everything had to be done cautiously.

Otherwise, one careless mistake could cost them their lives.

Suddenly, intense gunfire erupted from the front. Bi Xia’s heart skipped a beat as she quickly looked ahead, one of the team members looked at Bi Xia, "Captain?"

"Recon!" Bi Xia gritted out.

"Report, Captain, intruders spotted ahead, Team A is engaging!" Number Five reported, stepping forward.

Bi Xia ordered, "Ninth formation, listen for orders!"

"Yes!"

"Number One, sniper from a distance!"

"Yes!"

"Number Two, Number Three, Number Five," Bi Xia’s eyes narrowed, "Ambush and flank them!"

"Yes!"

"The rest, advance with me!"

"Yes!"

Bi Xia’s eyes grew cold, a frosty smile played on her lips, "Damn it, first time as captain and this is how they mess with me? I will not let them get away with this!"
