Chapter 688: We Agreed Not to Get Angry
Chapter 688: We Agreed Not to Get Angry
When Connor returned home, the house was already tidied up.Everyone from the Garden Estate had been taken away, the blown-up ground was restored to its original state, and even the bodyguards in charge of the perimeter were sent to the hospital.
Everything was handled perfectly, needing no effort on his part.
His woman, stretching her long legs, was holding the Little Black rabbit, sitting in the sunlight on the open space in front of the living room door.
On her left was Ruth, dressed as a student, chattering excitably with her, her excitement evident.
On her right was Lucas Chambers in camouflage, the Major himself peeling and coring a crystal pear, then holding a plate and offering it to her: "My lady, please eat."
Connor was bewildered. Wasn’t it said that a large group of people came to capture Natalie Niles?
He was only held up for a while, and she resolved everything? Even taking care of Lucas?
Why did he feel so insignificant and completely unneeded?
"Natalie..."
Natalie Niles picked up the plate, walked towards him, pinched a piece of crystal pear, and stuffed it into Connor’s mouth: "I blew up a patch in the yard, that patch of flowers probably won’t survive, I’ll replant it for you, don’t scold me."
Connor ate the pear, unable to figure out what reason there was to scold her for this.
He never cared about those flowers, in fact, many of them had been gnawed bare by the Little Black rabbit, which recently didn’t like eating carrots, only liked nestling in the garden eating grass and gnawing on flowers.
"Are you okay? Not hurt?"
"I’m fine."
"What about those who came to capture you?"
"Already taken care of."
"How did you deal with them? Blew them up?"
"No, I used some drugs to knock them all out, and Lucas has taken them away for interrogation. I’ve given him so many people, it should be enough to make up for the previous losses, so I don’t have to return to the special forces."
Connor didn’t speak for a moment, his expression complex.
Sure enough, she was still as formidable as before, extraordinary in her means, turning a major crisis into the most advantageous situation for her in the blink of an eye.
Natalie Niles, seeing him silent, couldn’t help but ask: "Are you unhappy?"
"No, you’re so amazing, I’m happy, why wouldn’t I be happy?"
"Don’t you mind that I buried things in the yard without telling you?"
Connor hadn’t thought of that, and only glanced around when she mentioned it: "When did you bury them?"
"More than a month ago."
So she had prepared for this even before anything happened and had made this place the main battlefield.
No wonder she returned to him after the incident, Connor thought it was because she liked him, but it turned out to be because she had ambushes and traps here.
"Besides the small patch that blew up, are there anything else buried in the house?"
"I said you can’t get mad."
"Okay, go ahead."
"I buried in several places, including the garden, the living room, and the rooftop."
"So, I’m sleeping every day on a pile of explosives and poison? One wrong move and I’d be dead?"
"No, I wouldn’t harm you."
Natalie Niles saw his face growing more unsightly and reached out to hug him, asking softly: "Are you angry?"
Connor’s voice was hoarse: "Should I thank you for not attacking me, otherwise I’d be long gone."
"Didn’t we agree not to get angry?"
Natalie Niles knew he would get angry, but she couldn’t not tell him; otherwise, he’d be even angrier if he knew later.
