Chapter 639: As Long as I Am Willing, It Doesn’t Matter If the Whole World Opposes

Chapter 639: As Long as I Am Willing, It Doesn’t Matter If the Whole World Opposes

Natalie Niles felt a tickling sensation on her ear from his warm breath, and before she could scratch it, he kissed her.The itch was gone, replaced by a warmth that spread.

Connor spent a long time wiping her body clean, dressed her in his oversized shirt, and carried her to the balcony to bask in the sun.

He sat beside her, wrapping an arm around her, holding a book in the other hand, reading little stories to her to pass the time.

She couldn’t see anything, so he became her eyes.

Connor’s voice was deep and calm, carrying a soothing power that made Natalie Niles instinctively lean gently into him.

Without her sight, her sense of hearing and smell became exceptionally sharp.

His voice was very pleasant, and he carried a faint scent of Safeguard soap, a fragrance she found slightly addictive.

She wanted to wrap her arms around his waist again.

"A long, long time ago, in the forest, there was a black bear who raised a rabbit, planning to eat it during the new year. So every day, he fed her delicious carrots and bathed her. Finally, the new year came. The black bear covered the rabbit with a red cloth, picked up his knife and fork, ready to start, when the rabbit lifted the red cloth and said joyfully to the bear, ’Are you finally going to marry me?’"

Natalie Niles couldn’t help but wrinkle her brow slightly, "This story is no good, change it."

Connor laughed, "Why not?"

"The rabbit is too silly."

"So are you the rabbit or the black bear?"

Natalie Niles was stunned for a while, finally she buried her face into his chest a bit dejectedly, "The black bear."

"So are you planning to eat me, or marry me?"

Natalie Niles, enduring the intense pain, lifted her arm, wrapped it around Connor’s waist, and whispered, "Marry."

She hoped that in the future, she could bask in the sun with him by her side daily, read little stories, cook for her, and bring her sour plum soup...

He was at once forceful and gentle, fierce yet kind.

She really couldn’t bear to let him go to another woman.

The balcony was actually very hot, but Connor, tightly hugged by his woman, didn’t seem to feel it at all, she would endure the pain to hold him.

Connor’s lips curved up high, and the corners of his eyes were brimming with sweetness and happiness.

He couldn’t continue reading the little story, as he lowered his head to kiss her, his large hand gently caressing inch by inch inside her oversized shirt.

"Natalie, when shall we get married?"

"Anytime."

"I haven’t met your parents yet, when will you take me to meet them?"

"Okay."

"Will they not like me?"

"They won’t."

"I’m just a bodyguard, not very educated, and an orphan, will they agree to let you marry me?"

"As long as I agree, it doesn’t matter if the whole world opposes."

Natalie Niles was out of breath, but when she said this, there was an inexplicable touch of arrogance and confidence.

The strong-willed aspect of her character was fully revealed.

Connor thought he might have been captivated by her audacity; when she was cocky, she exuded a flamboyant aura, seemingly invincible, making one want to kneel at her feet and shout, "I’m willing to do anything for you."

Holding the woman in his arms, who remained confident and composed even when blind, he felt incredibly lucky to have her affection!

It wasn’t until the sun tilted westward that Connor carried Natalie Niles back to bed, instructed her a few things, and then left.

When he said to Lucas Chambers that he was going to hit someone, it wasn’t just talk, he really meant it.

This was something Harry Hunter had instructed, and something he very much wanted to do himself — give Austin Winters a beating!
