Natalie Niles also leaned in close to his ear, whispering, "If you don’t behave, I’ll cut you off!"Connor grinned broadly, revealing two rows of neat, white teeth.
Natalie’s body stiffened. She didn’t know where she got a sharp knife from, but she pressed it against Connor’s neck, threatening softly, "Take your hand away, or I’ll kill you!"
Connor was fearless, "Go ahead and kill me!"
The blade in Natalie’s hand immediately nicked Connor’s neck, and blood beaded out, shocking to the eye.
Gritting her teeth, Natalie put away the knife, closed her eyes, and lay on top of him, refusing to speak to him any further.
She couldn’t actually kill Connor, and he knew this fact, so he was brazenly provoking!
"Aren’t you my girlfriend?"
Connor grunted, clenching his fist as if he wanted to punch Natalie on the head, but after thinking it over, he released it.
Harry Hunter and Isabella Weaver had been wandering here for quite a while, his gaze sweeping over a particularly vibrant patch of grass before casually tossing a mineral water bottle over there.
Natalie’s head got hit.
She gritted her teeth, not daring to make a sound, her eyes furious; she suspected Harry did it on purpose!
Isabella pinched him, raising her foot to go over and pick it up, "Why are you littering randomly!"
Harry grabbed her wrist, leading her forward, "Someone will pick it up."
"I still had half a bottle of water left in there!"
"I’ll buy you a new one."
Suspicion flickered in Isabella’s eyes, "You’re acting strange tonight."
"Am I?"
Harry remained calm, "Come, let me introduce you to this sycamore tree."
"You’ve already introduced this one twice, Mr. Hunter!"
"Then let’s switch to another one."
"I don’t want to listen anymore. Do you have some obsession with this place?"
Isabella chuckled in exasperation, pulling Harry in another direction, "I heard there’s a peacock here; I want to see the peacock!"
"Peacocks sleep at night."
"I heard there are also many fawns, and you can buy cookies to feed them!"
"Too much food at night gives fawns indigestion."
"Are you going to accompany me or not?"
"Of course."
Harry chuckled softly, finally stopping his linger, and followed Isabella away.
As soon as they left, Natalie sprang up from Connor, took two steps away, felt outraged, and went back to kick him twice.
Connor grabbed her calf, suddenly exerted force, pulling her directly to the ground, and threw himself on top of her.
