Underground casino in A City.Peter Barnes stood before the one-way mirror, elegantly holding a cigarette between slender fingers and puffing out smoke rings: "Miss Ruth, is your Sister Natalie really dead?"
Ruth had pink-dyed long hair, with makeup exaggeratedly overdone, looking like a problematic teen. Upon hearing this, she burst into tears: "How many times do you have to ask?! I wish she were alive too!"
"Miss Ruth, let’s speak frankly. Others may not know Sister Natalie’s abilities, but I do. Even an old fox like me was manipulated by her, my assets and life all under her control. Whoever she told me to marry, I had to marry. Can she be beaten to death by some idiot?"
"What idiot? That was Harry Hunter’s most trusted personal bodyguard! No one can rival his martial arts talent, and he has been systematically trained by Ben Hunter. Nobody in A City can defeat him; you wouldn’t survive three moves under his hand! My Sister Natalie fought him for a whole month!"
Ruth began crying again: "She died miserably, she’s gone, the money’s spent, there’s no way to support you keeping Cora Ginger anymore. Do whatever you want, don’t come to me. I need to arrange Sister Natalie’s funeral."
Peter Barnes pulled out a silk scarf, gently wiping her tears: "Poor thing, don’t cry. With your Sister Natalie gone, no one’s backing you anymore. You can come with me; I’ve had my eye on that good skin of yours for a long time."
Ruth sobbed with a big snot bubble, spreading her poorly applied crimson lips: "Don’t you already have Cora Ginger? Isn’t she pretty?"
Peter Barnes was disgusted by her grimace, pulled back his hand, and tossed the scarf: "What’s she worth? You’re more interesting with your spicy attitude. Wash your face, you’ll be mine tonight."
Ruth abruptly kicked him in the groin: "To hell with you! You dirty scoundrel, you dare fancy me! I’ll spice you to death!"
One kick wasn’t enough, recalling how this old pervert used to ogle at Natalie Niles, she pulled out pepper spray and smeared it on his face, then kicked him right through the window!
The one-way mirror shattered with a crash, and Peter Barnes fell right outside, landing before the gambling hall downstairs, wailing in pain.
Zack Ginger was gambling and upon seeing Peter Barnes, ran frantically towards him: "Brother-in-law! Who hit you? I’ll avenge you!"
"Get lost, idiot!"
Zack Ginger was taken aback: "Brother-in-law, it’s me, I’m Cora’s brother, why are you cursing me?"
With that, he immediately called Cora Ginger: "Sister, your brother-in-law’s at the casino here! Hurry over!"
Peter Barnes was beyond furious, trying to avoid Cora Ginger. Natalie Niles was dead, no one was giving him money anymore, there was no way he’d stupidly fill all those holes for the Ginger Family!
It’s been less than two months and he’s spent thirty million!
