After Betrayal: Lightning Marriage to Mr. Enigmatic

Chapter 385: Dance for My Husband

Chapter 385: Dance for My Husband

"How much did you drink? Why do you smell entirely like alcohol?""Not much."

"Are you really not drunk?"

"No."

"How did you recognize me?"

"Besides you, no one else would paint themselves so ugly to meet me."

"So, are you saying those you met before were all prettier than me?"

Harry Hunter wiped her face clean, leaned down to peck her lips, refusing to fall for it: "My wife is the most beautiful."

The club girls had already filed in, dressed in short skirts revealing half of their waists, starting to dance with the music.

Cora Ginger watched with great interest, but Connor had seen it countless times, feeling uninterested, so he sat beside her peeling sunflower seeds.

Jeremy Duff rubbed his eyes, making sure he wasn’t seeing things!

This is truly fantastical!

Two inconspicuous waiters here, one married the number one family young master in A City, Harry Hunter, and the other became the girlfriend of the top bodyguard, Connor!

Does the Royalton Club have such good fortune?

Isabella Weaver’s mind wasn’t on the dancing girls; although the room was lively, her heart felt heavy.

"Why did you suddenly drink? Since we got married, you haven’t been drinking."

"I thought drinking might improve my mood."

"Is it because I made you feel bad?"

Harry Hunter looked down at her serious face, without answering.

She was part of the reason, but not entirely because of her.

Yet she indeed could affect his mood.

Isabella Weaver saw he said nothing, and her eyes began to redden: "I only talked to Alexander Parker for twenty seconds, and you called right at that moment, I just said one thing before hanging up! Couldn’t you call me again? If you had called again, it would have definitely gone through!"

"Okay, I’ll call several times next time."

Harry Hunter’s heart softened, pressing her down onto the sofa, shielding her with his body, kissing her intensely and eagerly.

Isabella Weaver couldn’t handle a passionate kiss in front of so many people and urgently pushed him: "No, no!"

Harry Hunter suppressed his desire, picking her up and letting her sit on his lap: "Do you want to drink a little?"

Isabella Weaver hesitated for a moment; she clearly remembered the exquisite taste of the Royalton Club’s drinks, very delightful yet also easy to get drunk on.

Harry Hunter knew she wanted to drink, encouraged her: "Just a bit, with me here, don’t worry."

Isabella Weaver’s eyes lit up, indeed, with him here she didn’t need to worry! It didn’t matter if she got drunk!

She raised her glass: "Mr. Hunter, cheers!"

Harry Hunter clinked glasses with her, downed his drink in one go, then watched Isabella Weaver finish hers in one breath too!

"Weren’t you just going to drink a little? Why did you finish it all?"

"Today is different from the past! I used to fear getting drunk and being sold, but now, I’m not afraid!"

Isabella Weaver cheered up, clinging to Harry Hunter’s arm, asking him to pour more wine.

Harry Hunter poured her half a glass, then fed her a few strawberries.

Cora Ginger had drunk quite a bit too; she was utterly thrilled, running over to pull Isabella Weaver: "Isabella, let’s go dance too!"

Isabella Weaver, with flushed cheeks, turned to look at Harry Hunter, her eyes full of anticipation: "Darling, do you want to see me dance?"

Harry Hunter thought she must be drunk, or she wouldn’t have suggested dancing for him in front of so many people.

He nodded, releasing his arms from around her.

Isabella Weaver then joined Cora Ginger, entering the lineup of dancers.

The club girls all had a background in dance, Cora Ginger had learned from them before, and she danced quite well.

But Isabella Weaver, she knew nothing!

She was merely flailing about following the others!

Yet Harry Hunter watched with admiration, completely engrossed.

Jeremy Duff watched for a little while before he couldn’t help but cover his face with his hand; it was too much to handle for his fragile heart! He felt like crying!
