Luna already had a good idea on what skills she would like to upgrade, that being her Arctic Fury and Void Step.

She had chosen these two skills as they were two of her most used skills in combat. Arctic fury was used when she wanted to unleash a barrage of magical attacks without wanting to actually focus on manually casting the spells, with that skill spears and bolts would continually be formed and fired off at any enemy nearby.

It was of great use and allowed her to focus more on the actual physical combat aspect of the fight whilst still maintaining a magical presence.

Void step was another key component of Luna’s combat style. She truly enjoyed the freedom of movement that the skill provided, allowing her to jump around the battlefield to reach her foes, only to then disappear before they had a chance to retaliate. Then came its utility benefits such as traversing difficult terrain and such.

As such Luna only spent a few moment confining in her head that these were the two skills that she would be upgrading before selecting the first one and getting stuck in.

[Upgrade Token used on Arctic Fury

Options below:

Unrelenting Arctic Fury

Debilitating Arctic Fury

Arctic Wrath ]

The first option seemed to focus on drawing out the skill, each bolt or spear would be slightly weaker but as a trade off, each one would be summoned slightly faster and the skill would last for longer than it previously could be.

This upgrade would allow her greater staying power in a fight, ensuring that she didn’t run out of mana too quickly. But it would also reduce the amount of damage that she could deal in a short amount of time, something that she was all too aware was one of her current weaknesses.

The second option seemed to fit more into her current battle style of slowly whittling down her opponent’s, it would imbue each spell with a freezing essence to help slow down any foe impacted by it.

Again this would be useful but did nothing to allow Luna to instantly unleash a large amount of damage in a short time.

The last option however, now that one truly caught Luna’s eye. Arctic Wrath was seemingly exactly what she wanted, it was a skill that she could ’toggle’ on or off at will. When turned on the skill would drain a vast amount of mana for ever second that it was used.

In payment for that expenditure however, Luna would be unleashing a ungodly amount of attacks. It would turn her into a mobile turret, spears and bolts would be conjured and fired at incredible rates, each one imbued with added power when compared to their basic skill.

The skill seemed to fit so well that it didn’t take more than a single glance to know that this was the option that Luna would be taking.

[Skill Arctic Fury upgraded to - Arctic Wrath]

Happy with her first selection, Luna quickly moved on to look at what her next options would be.

[Upgrade Token used on Void Step

Options below:

Bursting Void Step

Illusory Void Step

Enhanced Void Step ]

Instantly the first option caught Luna’s eye. Bursting void step seemed to bring aspects of her Arctic powers into the skill, it would enable Luna to activate a secondary effect after she took a step, when activated a burst of Arctic power would rush out around her.

It would instantly freeze the ground around her and temporarily slow down any foe nearby. Granted that secondary effect did have some limitations, if activated that way the cooldown of the skill would be increased slightly, it did cost considerably more mana than the basic version too.

Still Luna could see multiple used for this option in particular, she eagerly looked over at the second option.

Illusory void step would lean into her illusion centric build somewhat. It would leave behind a frozen illusion in her previous position that would attack the nearest foe for a few seconds. This would enable her much greater impact on the battlefield by making it harder for her enemies to know exactly where she was at any given time.

The last option was a bit of a let down when compared to the previous two options, even still it did have its merits. The Enhanced version of the skill did everything the base version did, just better. Greater range, greater speed of activation and shorter cooldown.

Nothing changed about the skill, but nothing really needed to change for the skill to still be one of Luna’s favourites to use.

Still Luna already knew which one she would be choosing.

[Skill Void Step upgraded to - Ilusory Void Step]

With a smile Luna turned just in time to spot Violet turning to face her too.

"Is that you finished with your upgrades?" Asked Violet.

"Yup, I’m pretty happy with my choices, how about you? Happy with yours?"

Violet nodded in confirmation before she went into explain the two skills she had upgraded and why, Luna soon reciprocating and sharing her own upgraded skills.

With the important matter of skill uogrades soon finished with the two girls relaxed into each others arms once again, Violet curled up into Luna’s arms as they enjoyed each others company in pleasant silence.

Eventually however, their silence was broken by the rumbling of Violet’s stomach, the pound sound in the relative quiet drew a chuckle from Luna.

"Haha well I guess I do own you dinner now don’t I?" Saying so she extracted herself from Violet’s cuddles and made her way over towards the kitchen area.

Soon enough the sounds and smell of cooking fish wafted into the lounge area where Violet lay, the delectable aroma causing her to almost begin drooling.

After far too long, or a few minutes in actual time, Luna had finished with the meal she had prepared. She walked over to the couches holding two plates.

Their was a sizeable slab of well cooked and seasoned fish alongside an array of cooked vegetables.

The two did not let the food grow cold and swiftly dug into the meal with gusto. The hut was filled with the sounds of the two companions mains of delight at the tasty and mana rich food.

Once they had cleaned up their plates the two once more fell back into a stupor of contentment. They stayed like that until the ruby sky turned to ink darkness as night finally fell, the two making their way through to their bedroom where the proceeded to collapse into bed together.

"How do you think the others are doing?" Asked Luna in a soft tone. She had wondered about their friends all day, the worry jawing at her even with Violet’s earlier assurance that they would be fine.

"Hmm they are probably preparing to leave the city and head further east to try and find us. I think they would be heading towards Syan seeing as that was our original destination." Violet mused.

"Hmm, yeah, I wonder if they would go by themselves or if they would travel with that Massin guy."

"Probably with him, if they were going in the same direction it makes sense that they would go together."

The silence once more took over the two of them as they both thought about their friends, old and new alike.

"I’m looking forward to seeing them again some day. But we will have to make sure that we are plenty strong! Cannt have them become stronger than us now can we!" Luna joked.

A chuckle came fro Violet at that as she snuggled in closer with Luna. "No we can not, guess we will just have to work all the harder to keep our lead."

"Indeed, but for now, let us just rest. I’m glad that we at least did not got separated, I don’t know what I would have done without you." Luna spoke softly, her care and love for Violet clear as she gazed down at the dragon in her arms.

Violet did not answer right away, instead she brought her head up to directly face Luna, a small smile on her lips as she leant in and gently pressed her lips against Luna’s own in a slow and gentle kiss.

After a long moment she pulled back, her smile wide. "Doc told you before, you are mine and I am yours. Wherever you go I go, we will always be together."

Luna did not reply either, simply wrapping her arms around Violet’s back and pulling her back in for one more kiss.
