An unexpected remark left Ji Mofeng stunned.

Qin Nanyu forwent further pleasantries and went straight to the point, "I came to the Ji Family Villa today not to have you lecture my girlfriend but to ask Lady Ji if she has been enjoying causing trouble online these past few days?"

As Su Sumei walked out of the kitchen and reached the dining room entrance, she heard Qin Nanyu’s words. The snacks she was carrying nearly dropped to the floor because her hands trembled.

Seeing everyone in the living room looking towards her, Su Sumei responded without hesitation, "Young Master Yu, what are you talking about? I don’t understand a word."

After speaking, Su Sumei quickly walked up to Ji Mofeng’s side and set down the snacks, looping her arm through his as she spoke.

"Mofeng, did I just say something wrong again that upset Weitian and made Young Master Yu target me like this? Although Ji Mofeng was surprised, he couldn’t doubt his wife based solely on Qin Nanyu’s words. So he looked up and said,

"If Young Master Yu has something to say, feel free to speak directly."

Ji Mofeng patted Su Sumei’s hand and asked her to sit down first.

Then he looked towards Qin Nanyu.

"Though I usually don’t intervene in your relationship with Weitian, there is one thing, Young Master Yu, you should at least be clear about—Weitian is my daughter, and there are no unresolved issues between father and daughter. I, as a father, won’t stand by if she is wronged."

Qin Nanyu glanced mockingly at Su Sumei, who thought she could escape scrutiny by hiding behind Ji Mofeng.

Su Sumei started crying the moment she spoke.

Her beautiful, soulful eyes looked pitifully at Ji Mofeng.

For a second, Ji Mofeng’s heart softened, but he ultimately pushed her hand away and turned the pages in the document.

Seeing the contents clearly, his face turned dark and grim.

"Was it you who arranged for Young Master Yu’s scandal to be leaked online?"

"It wasn’t me! I don’t know anything ..." Su Sumei vehemently denied, clutching Ji Mofeng’s legs and sobbing.
