Addicted to My Cutie and Sweetie

Chapter 591: If you don’t come to me, I’ll go to you.

Chapter 591: If you don’t come to me, I’ll go to you.

Ji Weitian was at one point unable to distinguish whether he liked putting on two different faces before and behind people, or whether he had an issue with her and was deliberately targeting her.

When she fled as if her life depended on it, all she felt was her mind going blank.

Once back in her room, and upon closing the door, she leaned against it, still able to hear her own heartbeat thudding loudly, as if it was about to leap out of her throat...

"Ji Weitian, I like you."

Those seven words, like a spell, shattered Ji Weitian’s rationality in an instant.

She didn’t know what she was panicking about, nor what she felt guilty about; she only felt that if she stayed any longer by Qin Nanyu’s side, she might pass out and die from lack of breath.

When she came to her senses, she locked the door to her room.

Feeling that wasn’t secure enough, she moved a desk next to it, blocking the entrance.

Only when she was certain the door couldn’t be opened from the outside did she realize she had broken into a sweat; her clothes were drenched and sticking to her uncomfortably.

She consoled herself internally, telling herself that everything that happened today was just an accident.

Qin Nanyu was drunk. He was just talking madness.

If he hadn’t the courage to say it sober, then all the more so, one shouldn’t take serious what one says drunk. The truth revealed in drunkenness is just to fool children and can’t be trusted.

Right, it couldn’t be trusted.

Ji Weitian pushed the jumbled thoughts out of her head, not allowing herself to think about anything related to Qin Nanyu, and she went to get a new set of pajamas and entered the bathroom.

When she came out of the shower, still very wary, she glanced first at the door.

Confirming the door was still closed and the table was as securely placed as before she showered, her heart, which had been lodged in her throat, finally settled back down.

Before long, she thought of something and couldn’t help pursing her lips.

Was Qin Nanyu asleep?

He fell asleep so quickly; it seemed he really drank a lot today, which would explain all the bizarre things he said.

So, he really was just talking drunken nonsense?

She had resolved not to be affected by him, but her mind was filled with thoughts of him.

The shock of hearing his confession, to the slight disappointment now imagining he was just raving drunk... Ji Weitian realized that not only was tonight’s Qin Nanyu a bit strange, she was also behaving oddly.

To stop her mind from wandering further, Ji Weitian grabbed her phone to set an alarm, then turned over and prepared to go to sleep.

She decided to treat everything that happened tonight as a dream, and everything would be fine once she woke up.

Ji Weitian consoled herself as she walked to the bed.

She didn’t turn on the light but climbed into bed by instinct.

Just as she settled down, she suddenly sensed something next to her, and subconsciously reached out, touching a person’s body.

She froze entirely!

Before she could react to whether it was reality or a dream, a head she knew all too well appeared out of the covers, illuminated by the dim light...

Upon seeing Qin Nanyu’s face, Ji Weitian instinctively glanced towards her door.

She couldn’t understand how he could still be in her room when she was sure she had locked the door?!

After the shock, she quickly flung back the covers, intending to get up.

The next moment, she was pulled back.

"Ji Weitian, I’m cold."

"..."

"Ji Weitian, I’m also afraid of the dark."

"..."

"Ji Weitian, can you share half of your bed with me? I promise I won’t do anything, just chat with you under the quilt, unless you want to do something."
