Chapter 587: The True Fragrance Law
Chapter 587: The True Fragrance Law
Ji Weitian pondered for a moment and seriously asked, "Now that we’re even, when do you plan to move out of my house?"
Qin Nanyu almost spat out a mouthful of blood.
His deep, dark eyes fixed on her, radiating a ferocious anger.
Ji Weitian didn’t know what she had said wrong. Seeing him looking angry, she quickly explained, "I don’t mean to rush you out. If you really have nowhere to go, you can stay a few more days. I just feel that since we’ve cleared the air, you don’t need to force yourself to stay."
"I’m not forcing myself," Qin Nanyu interrupted her, standing up from the grass.
His tall stature regained the initiative between them, looking down at her, grinding his teeth word by word,
"Everything I’ve done was not merely to make it up to you!"
Qin Nanyu had never thought he would fall for someone.
Nor did he know how to tell her.
All the fierce words he had once confidently declared in front of her had now become true, ironically.
In fact... he feared her reaction.
Ji Weitian was startled by his words for a few seconds, then nodded understandingly, "I get it. You’re worried that Yaoyao will miss you if you leave. She’s finally got a dad and would surely want you to stay with her."
"..."
Qin Nanyu suddenly raised his hand, covering her mouth.
Listening to her any further, he feared he might die of frustration.
He turned around, pulling her towards the laboratory building, dropped her off at the door of the record room, and walked away without looking back.
Ji Weitian didn’t even have a chance to thank him.
-
In the bar.
He Feichen laughed so hard he almost slid off the sofa.
"Bro, no offense, but you, Young Master Yu, personally going after a girl by even involving your son, and then getting treated like you’re just making up for something, asking you when you’re moving out... Oh man, my stomach hurts!"
He Feichen laughed, rolling on the sofa clutching his stomach, and the next second, Qin Nanyu kicked him down.
"I called you here to help me think of a way, not to listen to you laugh at me."
He Feichen got up from the floor, unannoyed by the kick, his expression still dismissive, "You did something this funny, and you won’t let me laugh? Are you even human?"
"Am I that funny?" Qin Nanyu’s voice grew heavy.
His gaze warned He Feichen.
"Not very funny, just a bit," He Feichen sat up on the sofa, poured himself a glass of red wine, and sighed, "I thought being blacklisted by my Lili was bad enough. Little did I know the world is full of people more pitiful than me."
"..." Qin Nanyu felt he might have chosen the wrong person to seek advice from.
He initially thought that, seasoned by numerous ordeals, He Feichen might help him devise a plan.
Now he suddenly felt that trusting someone who had been blacklisted made less sense than trusting a pig.
He reached for his phone on the table, turned around to leave.
"Come on, don’t go. It’s rare for us to get out, join me for a couple of drinks, bro. I’m sure I can think of a good plan for you," He Feichen pulled Qin Nanyu back, pushing a glass of wine towards him.
Qin Nanyu glanced at it but didn’t drink.
"Don’t look at me like that, you’re doubting my professional skills." He Feichen’s face turned serious, his tone becoming indignant.
Qin Nanyu snorted, "Blacklist professional?"
"It’s not exactly like that. The reason I got blacklisted was because I was too outstanding in the past, leaving behind a bunch of dark history, unlike you, an inexperienced baby."
