Chapter 538: Biological Daughter, Adopted Son

Ji Weitian had just woken up, still a bit disoriented.

She heard Song Shu say Qin Nanyu was going for a checkup, somewhat astonished.

"The doctor said he just needed rest. Why the sudden checkup? Is there something wrong?"

"Miss Ji, please rest assured, the boss is fine. He just wants to be discharged early and needs the doctor’s consent. So he went for an extra checkup. As long as the results are fine, he can go back to the villa to recuperate."

Noticing her complexion didn’t look too good, Song Shu patiently explained.

"The little master and the little miss were worried about the boss. They made a fuss and didn’t go to kindergarten today. They came to the hospital with me. The butler is looking after them, staying by the boss’s side. Miss Ji, if you are concerned, you can go and see them."

"I told him to stay in the room with you. He wouldn’t listen and insisted on following along. You can’t blame me for this," Qin Nanyu immediately disclaimed any responsibility when he saw the little guy trying to pass the buck to him.

Qin Nanyu paused while feeding his daughter an orange, just for a second, then resumed as usual, his lips parting lightly, "It’s nothing. The butler has already gone to handle the discharge procedures. We can leave soon."

He turned around and handed Ji Weitian a slice of orange, "Try it, it’s sweet."
