Chapter 423: Twins, the Truth of That Year! (9)
The teacher spoke as she took the initiative to go ahead, leading the way for Ji Weitian.
Although Qin Nanyu verbally expressed indifference towards his son, always addressing him by his full name, he deeply cared about the little fellow.
The housekeeper once secretly told Ji Weitian that when it was time to bring the little fellow back to the country for preschool, Qin Nanyu didn’t trust anyone else with the task. He returned to the country half a month early to personally choose a preschool for his son.
He was very selective before making a decision.
Ji Weitian had visited only a few times, always just picking up the little fellow at the gate, never entering before.
Now, following the teacher to the classroom, she discovered that the preschool was quite large and operated under a formal management system. They clearly distinguished between the learning areas and the children’s activity areas, with dedicated staff responsible for each area.
The facilities were very new, and every precaution had been taken to protect the children.
"Speaking of our preschool’s management, we have to thank President Qin. The management costs, including the maintenance and replacement of facilities and equipment, are sponsored by the Qin Technology Group. President Qin may seem unconcerned with the child, but we can all feel that he cares greatly about his son."
The teacher joked as she chatted with Ji Weitian.
Seeing Ji Weitian freeze, she leaned closer, lowered her voice, and chuckled, "President Qin loves his son so much, surely because he cares about Miss Ji too. Ruirui always brags about you in preschool, saying he loves his mum the most."
The teacher’s words touched Ji Weitian’s heart once more.
She bit her lip gently, holding back her emotions, not letting them show.
Soon, they arrived at the little fellow’s classroom.
Four-year-old children, still very young, many of them couldn’t yet pay full attention to the teacher.
Some played by themselves.
Others roughhoused with the kids next to them.
And some were sleeping on the table...
With around twenty little kids, Ji Weitian swept her gaze and immediately found her son.
The little guy sat in his seat, behaving completely differently from how he did in front of her.
His delicate little face bore the same indifferent expression as Qin Nanyu.
Though only four, he already seemed like a little adult, sitting upright with a straight little spine.
The teacher was soothing the other children; he bowed his head, quietly working on the math workbook in front of him.
It was a workbook Ji Weitian had bought for him. They had made a promise that if he could solve all the problems in it, she would take him to the beach to catch crabs the next time they filmed a show...
From behind the glass window, Ji Weitian could clearly see his little hands holding a pen, painstakingly writing out answers in the workbook.
"Ruirui is really well-behaved. In all my years of teaching children, I’ve never seen a child as smart and sensible as he is. Sometimes I feel he’s not much like a child..."
The teacher paused and turned to look at Ji Weitian.
"I must tell you, Miss Ji, Ruirui has really changed a lot since you appeared. Besides being smart, he’s more like a child now... I’m not sure if you can understand what I mean. I’m not saying Ruirui wasn’t a child before, but now he..."
"I understand," Ji Weitian softly opened her mouth, cutting off the teacher’s words.
She understood everything.
Because the housekeeper had said the same thing to her.
Although the little guy was only four years old, he was too smart.
He knew he didn’t have a mother, and he felt his father didn’t like him.
So, he kept all his emotions bottled up inside, acting like a child only in front of his great-grandfather. At other times, he was like a little adult, wrapping himself up tightly.
Nobody knew what he was thinking.
