Abyss Summoner

Chapter 367 - 357: Legendary Shadow

Chapter 367 - 357: Legendary Shadow

Just as Chen Feng attempted to end his exploration, things took an unexpected turn; the body of the Bottom-dwelling Demon Fish began to tremble violently. Clearly, in the unknown Dimension, it faced some form of unexpected attack.

What kind of existence is the Bottom-dwelling Demon Fish? A Silver Peak Abyssal monster. Ordinarily, its tentacles possess the ability to sense danger, capturing some signals of threat before an attack. But it’s not difficult to see that it barely had any reaction before being assaulted.

The opponent’s power had surpassed its warning signals.

Moreover, even though the Bottom-dwelling Demon Fish tried to struggle, it was futile. A terrifying scene unfolded, as its extracted body was gradually pulled back bit by bit.

What a joke?

What sort of terrifying existence could the opponent possibly be, rendering even a Bottom-dwelling Demon Fish weighing several tons powerless?

"Moo moo..."

The Bottom-dwelling Demon Fish let out a mournful cry, a creature with the bloodline of slaughter from the Abyss, yet at this moment, it seemed like a frightened little sheep, emitting a string of sad whimpers.

It had begun to panic.

After expending an entire Deep Diver just to summon this helper, could it really become food for an unknown monster within just a few minutes?

Chen Feng’s expression turned cold. He wouldn’t allow such a thing to happen. He clenched his fist, and a sharp Longsword ignited from his fingertips. He then stepped forward, raised the Longsword, and with unstoppable force, slashed fiercely at the tentacles of the Bottom-dwelling Demon Fish.

"Slash!"

A loud ripping sound occurred, the tentacles of the Bottom-dwelling Demon Fish were directly severed. Under such inertia, this Abyssal being flew off into the distance.

"Bang!"

Carrying sprinkles of blood, the Bottom-dwelling Demon Fish landed on a shore fifty meters away. Now, it was covered in mud, its huge body trembling incessantly. After a while, it shakily stood back up.

Who am I?

Where am I?

Who’s attacking me?

Even within the Abyss, the Bottom-dwelling Demon Fish is a somewhat famous strong entity. But now that it descended upon this land, it was first intimidated by Chen Feng and the Inferior Demon, and then had its life-dependant tentacles severed. It felt overwhelmingly devastated, as if trapped in some horrific Illusion Technique, believing everything to be mere illusion.

"Boom!"

The Bottom-dwelling Demon Fish lifted its head and slammed it against the ground. With a loud crash, the ground shattered. It then raised its blood-covered head and couldn’t help but let out a mournful sound.

[It hurts!]

[This isn’t a dream!]

..................

The collapse of the Bottom-dwelling Demon Fish did not catch Chen Feng’s attention. He was fully focused ahead, as the severed tentacles were snatched to the other side almost instantaneously. Simultaneously, Chen Feng widened his eyes, activating the All-Seeing Eye alongside the Demon Eye; he wanted to see what kind of terrifying assailant stood opposite him.

Everything happened in an instant; when Chen Feng’s eyes felt a slight pain, a blurred shadow appeared before him.

A mass of writhing appendages grew on a soft, gray-black bag-like body...apart from those widely stretched and exploring appendages, it had no distinct identifying features. However, there is—yes, at the front of this mass was a lump...that area might be its brain, nerve center, or any other diseased organ empowering this terrifying, repulsive creature with control functions.

This organism resembled a giant squid living in the soil, yet a dead squid, its flesh already rotting, covered in mucus like a worm-like slender body.

The rotten flesh just now had latched onto the Bottom-dwelling Demon Fish’s body.

The monster discovered Chen Feng; the rotten flesh churned, followed by a five-meter-wide enormous eyeball, penetrating the Dimension, staring at Chen Feng intently.

A sense of dread blanketed his entire being.

An entity surpassing Golden Tier, it was a Legendary Tier being.

Chen Feng’s body stiffened slightly; he finally grasped why the Bottom-dwelling Demon Fish exhibited such fear—because on the other side, it encountered a monster of Legendary Tier. Had he not acted swiftly, the Bottom-dwelling Demon Fish might already have been devoured.

This was no idle threat.

Unlike the Blazing Demon, although the Abyss Lord was similarly Legendary Tier, when manifesting in the human world, it was merely an illusion, even lacking a tenth of its true power. Yet the monster before him was undeniably the real Legendary entity, devoid of any fragments of illusion.

At this point, Chen Feng was akin to someone in an aquarium, where above him were sharks, separated by nothing more than a pane of glass.

Things were far from over; at that moment, the rotting flesh surged forward, seemingly attempting to breach the limitations before it and descend upon this land.

"Bang!"

A loud crash, the rotting flesh collided with the space, triggering a strong vibration in the surrounding area.

"Bang!"

"Bang!"

"Bang!"

The monster attempted multiple times. Despite Naga being able to enter the rift, the monster before his eyes couldn’t penetrate it; meanwhile, Chen Feng sensed the other’s fury from the opposite side.

Over there, the water churned, countless creatures were swept up by force, mostly creatures Chen Feng had never seen before, those with snake-like bodies yet possessing wings, sharks armed with crab pincers, and gigantic octopuses exceeding twenty meters in length.

A terrifying Otherworld.

It’s hard to imagine that if the Dimension Wall truly got penetrated, not just Order, even all nearby cities could face annihilation.

Chen Feng abruptly shut his eyes; the monster before him vanished, replaced by a piercing pain and a sensation of viscous fluid trickling down his eye corners.

Blood.

Just by making eye contact, Chen Feng’s eyes were bleeding. It’s unimaginable what kind of existence Legendary Tier entails—if this is Golden Tier, then Silver and Bronze must be mere ants, potentially crushed underfoot, facing death.

Chen Feng gasped for air desperately; his legs weakened, leading him to collapse directly on the ground. Against a Legendary Tier monster, a mere momentary confrontation almost drained him.

All returned to stillness.

If not for the recent earthquake causing nearby land to crack open, people might believe they had merely experienced a hallucination.

Chen Feng’s expression was unprecedentedly weary.

He nearly exhausted all his strength just to rise; the dreadful monster possessed such power that even separated by realms, its presence felt overwhelmingly palpable.

"Someone!"

A command reverberated, and soon, a squad of warriors ran over from afar.

"Keep a close watch here; any creature emerging from the rift shall be killed on sight! Furthermore, forbid anyone from entering; violators shall be demoted to labor slaves!"

"Yes!"

Exploration?

The thought of exploration was nullified the moment the monster appeared.

Even beings like the Bottom-dwelling Demon Fish of Silver Peak strength appeared like worms ready for trampling before the opponent—not to mention the ordinary warriors. Should they enter, there’s only one outcome: becoming the opponent’s food.

The ocean is menacing.

Furthermore, it’s the ocean of an Otherworld, where the monsters dwelling there, when casually unleashed, spur terror amongst humans.

The Dimension Wall isn’t damaged significantly now; it’s like a fishing net, with Naga and even Deep Divers merely fish fry, unable to be caught by the net, thereby seeking loopholes that allow them to descend upon this land.

But the monster now is too overwhelmingly powerful; its size has grown to normal proportions, so much so it can’t penetrate the net and thus is restricted.

Be aware, Dimension Walls deteriorate, and as surrounding energies corrode, if a Dimension Wall truly sustains complete damage, then when the net loses function, no one knows which terrible monster and adversary might crawl forth.

So, grow stronger.

Only by achieving a certain level of strength can one ignore such crises.

Chen Feng now needed to do just one thing: secure this rift, prevent any monsters from emerging, nor allow subordinates to enter.

Time will heal everything.

Chen Feng merely hopes the Dimensional Rift harboring danger vanishes from Order’s territory as quickly as possible.
