Chapter 1934 - 1: Original Pioneer Space
Huge floating blocks.
"Gaer, Dad wants you to come over."
Sitting on the edge of the Moving Royal Court, Gaer was originally watching the grass on the prairie sway like waves, then rise again, moved by the wind stirred up by the Court. But at this moment, a familiar voice rang out, making him sigh deeply, "Got it, brother."
The white-haired, wolf-eared young man stood up a bit angrily, rubbing his face, "The old man clearly knows I have no chance, why is he calling me over? Does he want me to get killed first?"
"He has to see someone."
Gaer’s brother, Stern Moon Grand General, Gonta Ximor, stroked his beard. He appeared somewhat like a behemoth with a wolf’s head and a human body, but upon closer inspection, it was just an illusion created by too much hair; he was still human, not a beastman with beast traits replacing human characteristics.
Under the governance of the Ximor Royal Court, regardless of whether one is a Beastman, a Demihuman, a Human, an Elf Dwarf, a Fae or even one of the Descendants of the Sea (as long as they can find the sea), Magical Beasts and Different Races can all compete fairly with everyone and become Chieftains or Generals.
And within the Ximor Royal Court, whether one appears more like a Demihuman or a Beastman doesn’t really matter. Historically, having a beast-headed Great Khan is not unheard of; in fact, people are especially fond of a Great Khan who resembles the Royal Court’s Totem.
After all, not everyone knows what the Great Khan looks like across generations, but everyone knows what the Heaven-Devouring White Wolf looks like.
Gonta Ximor has always regretted that he is not truly beast-headed, just overly hairy. As for his younger brother, who is young enough to be his son, his attitude is very much like that of Royal Court People.
- He likes him a lot, but the more he likes him, the harsher he hits.
Smack - A heavy slap landed on Gaer’s shoulder, the sound of bones cracking clearly audible. Gonta Ximor laughed heartily under his brother’s angry gaze, "Just go, Dad looks like this right now; he definitely won’t meet me or the two older sisters and younger brother. It’s just you, this little weakling, who won’t cause any objections when meeting anyone."
"Otherwise, if it were me, if I went in this morning, I’d have to fight several duels by evening, and that would be unbearable."
"Like I can bear it now."
A bit annoyed, he clicked his cracked shoulder blade back into place, Gaer frowned, "Do you really believe the old man is critically ill? Who knows what he’s up to."
"Even if he’s not ill, the weakness is not fake."
Gonta said slowly, a serious tone in this big man’s voice, "Although I also don’t know if he’s pretending to be weak or truly weak, since Dad is willing to show us his weak side, we must respond with our best state."
"Rest assured, if it really comes to dealing with you, I’d definitely go all out."
"That’s more like it." Upon hearing this, Gaer’s disgruntled expression relaxed a bit.
What really displeased him wasn’t being a weakling competing among his siblings, but the fact that his siblings would hold back and continue to treat him as a ’little brother’ with disdain and care—which for the Ximor Bloodline, is a more terrifying humiliation than being killed.
Since he had already learned of the Great Khan’s orders, Gaer didn’t waste time and headed straight towards the Court’s core.
Along the way, he sensed over twelve scouts, the majority of which were various wolf bloodline generals, and some were spies from other nations. The World-Devouring Wolves’ bloodline allowed him to clearly perceive these prying eyes, but Gaer didn’t mind, only swaying his tail to sweep away a few less skilled Spirit Energy Users attempting to attach spirit energy to him.
However, these scouts and spies quietly retreated as Gaer reached the core of the Royal Court—the massive central dome palace of the Moving Royal Court, known as the ’True Royal Court.’
The Khan doesn’t mind his offspring’s internal competition, even relishes it, but he doesn’t allow it to happen under public scrutiny.
"Father."
Though he had just referred to the old Khan as ’the old man,’ once in the inner tent, Gaer obediently called ’Father,’ then felt an irresistible force pulling him forward.
Without resisting, Gaer was drawn by this invisible force to the center of the opulent bedroom, by the bedside made of various emerald gems, where the old Khan reclined and glanced at his youngest son with squinted eyes, clicking his tongue twice, "You’ve improved swiftly, you actually trust that ’Arcane Pathway’?"
Referred to as ’the Divine Punishment,’ Ankato Ximor is a robust man with crimson eyes and long hair that make him look more like a white-maned lion than a wolf. Although he is already a hundred years old, for a Fifth Energy Level powerhouse, this age is still okay, even though battles have consumed much of his lifespan, he should still have about ten or twenty good years left.
But now, Great Khan Ankato’s aura seemed somewhat weakened. As Gonta Ximor said, the old Khan’s weakness is visible and not feigned.
"The Mahdi who defeated me is the creator of the Arcane Pathway. It’s only normal for me to learn his pathway."
Gaer said matter-of-factly, gritting his teeth with red ears, "Moreover... he’s the same person as that Prophet! Damn it, how did I not see it?!"
