Chapter 1612 - 301: Land of Bliss Township vs. the Fae
Breaking through this, the other four would be quite simple, at least with the emperor’s resources, slowly but surely, in Axel’s lifetime, he could definitely gather all five Domains of Extremes.
By then, even if Axel hadn’t reached the Sixth Echelon, he would still be the strongest on this land, surpassing even Hiliard from back in the day.
However, because it’s too predictable, Ian felt that the possibility could be... somewhat low.
Keeping this possibility buried in his heart, Frozen Fish Tutor adjusted the parameters.
[Alright]
He said contentedly: [Prepare to set off!]
And so, the Fae set off.
Incidentally, Frost Butterfly was left behind, and she wasn’t unhappy about it—imagine the feeling as if all the adults in the house had left, leaving behind just one child to rule... at least Ian was a bit worried that when he returned, the Great Snow Peak might have turned into an exhibition of snow giant sculptures.
The feeling of teleportation in the Domain of Void, Ian found quite peculiar.
How to say? It feels like dreaming. A door appears in the dream, crossing through that door leads to another dream... it’s just waking up abruptly after a dream within a dream which makes one doubt whether they are in reality or still dreaming, and then you reach your destination.
"Welcome to Land of Bliss Township!"
In a daze, Ian looked up and saw Hua’an floating in mid-air, joyfully stretching out her arms towards him.
Looking up, the light golden clouds lazily rolled in the sky, a few Wind Fairies fluttered among the clouds, while some Thunder Fairies were playing hide and seek with them.
Above the clouds, floating houses made of clouds, mist, and colorful leaves could be seen everywhere—these houses served as residences for the Fae. Of course, they weren’t permanent settlements, since the Fae didn’t really care which house was theirs. They would sleep in whichever they encountered, often squeezing into a room with friends even if the house next door was empty.
On the ground, towering buildings with pointy tops formed a small city, constructed from crystal, silver, and white iron, the Fae’s City of Delight stood resplendent in the light, while fairies of all sorts of wings flitted between the towers, and the floating cloud houses hovered around the city, casting their shadows.
If one had to say, this is a very modern city. Moreover, it’s filled with Fae everywhere.
Everywhere there are sounds of merriment and the sweet flavor of joy. Ian took a deep breath and even smelled the scent of ice cream.
It wasn’t an illusion.
[Want one?]
At some point, Frozen Fish Tutor had fetched some ice cream, offering flavors of vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry. Ian initially wanted to choose the strawberry flavor but noticed Frozen Fish Tutor’s reluctant gaze, so he opted for chocolate, only to see Hua’an’s wistful expression.
In the end, holding a vanilla ice cream, Ian licked the cone in bewilderment, turning to his companions: "This place is quite different from the Fairy Homeland I imagined... I thought the Fairy Homeland would be treehouses among forests, tree holes in woodlands, or burrows in the earth..."
[Indeed, several thousand years ago, that’s how the Fae lived]
Frozen Fish Tutor took a huge bite out of his strawberry ice cream, speaking contentedly: [But over the years, since we Fae don’t have manpower like humans do, we’ve lost a lot of technology and culture, of course, we’d still prefer living in a Fae metropolis]
"Yes." Hua’an also licked her chocolate ice cream, speaking with delight: "Tree holes and forests don’t have bakeries, ice cream shops, spirit energy labs, or theater groups—whichever way you look at it, cities are more Blissful."
"And if you want to host a party with friends, it’s easier to prepare the food in the city!"
Indeed, it really is. Anyway, for the Fae, if they want to see the natural environment, they can simply fly there.
But to enjoy the joy of settling down, you have to be in a Fae city!
One has to say, Fairy Homeland might be the happiest place in all of Terra. Ian, just by being guided on a short stroll by Hua’an and Frozen Fish Tutor, began to vaguely recall his life back on Earth... because of the traits of the Domain of Void, the Fae can move freely within it. If they want ice cream, they can teleport back and forth to get some, and of course, if they want to enjoy the pleasure of walking, they can stroll over.
And whatever service they desire, they can think it into being, effortlessly and easily.
While Ian was still immersed in admiration of the sights of the Fae city, a familiar voice reached his ears.
"Hua’an, Frozen Fish Tutor... and Ian? You’ve all come?"
Mentor Gansong’s clear voice came with a bit of surprise, causing Ian to look up, his eyes slowly opening wide.
A fairy dressed in incredibly gorgeous attire came into view, with white hair and green eyes, wearing a light silver gown adorned with many sparkling Mithril pieces and a circle of blue gemstone pendants around her neck and collarbone, looking as if she had stepped straight out of a fairy tale...
But why a princess?
Ian glanced at Mentor Gansong, then at Hua’an—Hua’an quickly understood Ian’s implication and whispered: "Whenever Teacher gets a budget, she buys herself nice clothes... though it doesn’t hinder her research, her blatant misuse of public funds often makes the higher-ups reluctant to give her budgets..."
