Chapter 1260 590: Mud Bodhisattva Incident (Part 3)

Wu Xie led them across the mountains and rivers of the Thunder Mystery Province, arriving outside Feng'an County.

As everyone looked towards Feng'an County, they saw that although this place was called a county, it could actually be described as a Land Divine Country, with vast territory stretching over hundreds of thousands of miles, filled with majestic mountains and peaks, and with Immortal Mountains and Divine Mountains floating in the sky.

On the Immortal Mountains were the mansions of Immortals, shrouded in ethereal energy, and on the Divine Mountains were the palaces of Divine beings, enveloped in incense, making them distinct and easy to discern.

If one were to count the Immortal and Divine Mountains in the sky, the territory of Feng'an County would exceed a hundred thousand miles.

"For this temple fair, the Great Strength Bodhisattva will also descend with a golden body to bless the people."

Wu Xie said, "But just on the eve of the descent, a strange incident occurred."

His expression turned peculiar as he continued, "The golden body of the Bodhisattva suddenly transformed into a body made of mud. This golden body, placed in the Thunder Mystery Province to absorb incense for more than a hundred thousand years, had long been refined to be as formidable as a peak Golden Immortal, incredibly powerful. This sudden transformation into a mud body is both a loss and a disgrace for the Bodhisattva. It happened right under our noses in the Thunder Mystery Province; we cannot shirk responsibility, so we sent many people to investigate. Then, another strange incident occurred."

Bai Fangfang was a bit anxious and quickly asked, "What strange incident?"

"Almost everyone in Feng'an County turned into mud people."

Wu Xie's expression grew even more peculiar, "The Heavenly Soldiers and Generals and Divine beings we sent to investigate also turned into mud people upon entering Feng'an County. Long Huang, my friend, Long Huang!"

He called out, the clouds parted in the sky, revealing a dragon-headed Divine being, peering down and saying, "So it's Friend Wu, what brings you to call me?"

"These are from the Heavenly Court, friends from the Heavenly Soldier Camp, ordered to investigate the Mud Bodhisattva incident."

Wu Xie apologized, "You've been to Feng'an County; you explain to them and enlighten them on the situation."

The dragon-headed Divine being said, "Heavenly Soldier Camp? King Li's subordinates? Aren't those guys a bunch of newly ascended recruits? Why were they sent to investigate this matter? Did they offend someone?"

As he spoke, he descended from the clouds. It was only then everyone noticed the sky was filled with auspicious clouds, and on these clouds stood many Heavenly Soldiers and Generals, as well as fully armored Divine beings, lined up motionlessly, exuding a stern aura.

They were soldiers of the Thunder Department, ordered to guard this place after the Mud Bodhisattva incident to prevent the Great Dao Contamination from leaking.

Above, covering the entire territory of Feng'an County, was a Bright Mirror, like a sun, hanging high in the sky, radiating Pure Yang brilliance, illuminating the whole county.

This treasure serves to prevent anyone from escaping. If one attempts to flee, it immediately triggers Pure Yang Dao Fire to incinerate, while also suppressing the Great Dao Contamination with Pure Yang Dao Power.

Long Huang, the dragon-headed Divine being, descended from the clouds and said, "All Daoists, look carefully at my face."

Members of the Fire Camp all looked at him and saw half of Long Huang's face had collapsed, as if someone slapped him, causing the face to deform.

"My face wasn't struck; it was because I touched it, and it became like this."

Long Huang said, "Out of three hundred Immortals and Divines who entered Feng'an County with me to investigate the Mud Bodhisattva, none felt anything unusual. When someone felt an itch in their nose and picked at it, their nose fell off. Others inspected their bodies and suddenly realized we had all unknowingly turned into mud people."

He sighed and said, "I carelessly turned my face into this. Our physical bodies and primordial spirits had all turned to mud—it was very dangerous. Sensing trouble, I immediately led them to rush out, but it started raining…"

His face twitched as he said, "They were soaked by the rain, their bodies softened and clumped together. Because I am a Dragon God with cultivation higher than theirs, I retained some mana, avoided the rain, and managed to escape."

Black Pot widened his eyes and tugged at Chen Shi's sleeve. Chen Shi gently nodded and whispered, "Ghost God Domain."
