Chapter 2694 - 2695: Achun Has Done It Too

Tang Feng walked out and said, "Your Xiaoyuan’s hurt, go take a look."

Fo Lanying’s eyes widened at once. "How did he get hurt? Who ambushed you?"

"No one. Go ask him yourself." The corner of Tang Feng’s mouth quirked up; he was clearly snickering.

Bai Ruozhu looked suspicious, tugged on Jiang Yichun’s sleeve, and asked in a low voice, "What exactly happened to Yuan Licheng?"

Jiang Yichun’s face went a bit colder. "We’ll talk back in the room."

"Oh, okay." Why did she have a vague bad feeling about this?

Once they were back in the Room and Bai Ruozhu was about to press him, Jiang Yichun suddenly scooped her up sideways, laid her on the bed, then leaned down over her and sealed her lips in a hard kiss.

"Mmph..." It was a long time before Bai Ruozhu could get a breath in. She pushed at him and said, "Quit fooling around, you said everyone’s having a meeting."

Jiang Yichun smiled and straightened up. "I’ll let you off this time."

"You still haven’t said what’s going on with Xiaoyuan." Bai Ruozhu pressed.

"Uh, it’s a bit hard to explain. It’s just, he’s young and full of blood and vigor, so he, uh, kind of..." He couldn’t quite go on.

Bai Ruozhu had already guessed the general idea. "Then how did he end up getting hurt?"

"He was alone in his Room, and Qiu Zhi suddenly went to find him, and then... uh, he panicked and flung himself face-down on the bed. And just that day the seas were rough, the ship was rocking hard, so he..." Jiang Yichun spoke in fits and starts, but Bai Ruozhu already understood what had happened.

Qiu Zhi had managed to screw over his own teammate again—simply impressive.

"Is it serious?" Bai Ruozhu asked, holding back her laughter. She’d heard that men handled certain needs themselves—self-reliance to keep oneself well-fed and clothed and all that—supposedly every man went through it, but she hadn’t known someone could actually injure himself doing it.

"It won’t affect his future, it’s just that he got hurt only last night, so it still hurts." Jiang Yichun couldn’t help laughing too.

"If Lan Ying finds out, she’ll definitely beat him." She couldn’t hold back and burst into loud laughter.

"He begged us not to tell Lan Ying. Said that when he was setting up a formation a big gust came, he lost his footing, and hurt his vital spot." Jiang Yichun added.

Bai Ruozhu was laughing so hard she was doubled over. "Relax, nobody’s going to blab about something like this. It’s just that excuse is way too flimsy, isn’t it? We’re all Martial artists here, how can it be so easy to lose your footing?"

"Who cares, let him explain it himself."

After chatting a while, the two of them left the Room and went to the meeting place. Everyone was there except Fo Lanying and Yuan Licheng. Yizi, unaware of the situation, stood up and said, "I’ll go call them."

Bai Ruozhu grabbed her. "No need, Xiaoyuan’s injured and sick, he needs more rest."

"Sick? I just saw him yesterday and he was fine." Yizi looked utterly confused. Jianqi’s face, next to her, had gone even darker—clearly he knew the truth and really didn’t want Yizi asking more.

Bai Ruozhu was almost dying from holding it in. She pulled Yizi back to sit. "Alright, let’s talk business first. We’ve gained quite a lot on this trip."

She began telling everyone what had happened, including that the Merfolk were servants of the Jiuli Clan and that the Golden Wings Clan had once received a life-saving favor from the Jiuli Clan, though she did not mention that all three clans came from another place.

She went over what had happened in the Golden Wings Clan; everyone listened with great interest, not having expected so many twists and turns.

"Then let’s set off as soon as possible and take that Golden Feather to wait for the Merfolk to come find us." Gao Zhou urged.

"Alright, we can depart immediately, straight east." Bai Ruozhu said.

The Astrologer spoke up to remind them, "Don’t forget the Dragon-seeking Grass."

"The Golden Wings Clan didn’t find any Dragon-seeking Grass. We’ll look again on Merfolk Island; maybe we’ll find some there." Bai Ruozhu said.

The two ships set sail and continued eastward. By lunchtime, Xiaoyuan still hadn’t shown up, and Fo Lanying hadn’t appeared either.

Bai Ruozhu was a bit curious. With Fo Lanying’s cleverness, she might have guessed something, right? After all, she’d been to the Enlightenment Tablet—someone like that wasn’t easy to fool.

Sure enough, when Fo Lanying finally appeared again, she ignored Yuan Licheng completely.

Bai Ruozhu went to smooth things over a bit, but Fo Lanying glared and said, "Ruozhu, do you know what he did? It’s disgusting! I don’t ever want to talk to him again."

Bai Ruozhu had to choke back another laugh. As a conservative person from ancient times and an unmarried, pure young Miss, this sort of thing really was a bit too much for her to accept.

"Actually, I more or less know what happened." She said.

Fo Lanying’s eyes went round. "How do you know? Does everyone know already? I’m mortified!"

Bai Ruozhu hurriedly grabbed her. "No, I guessed. I’ve been through it, okay? Achun did that sort of thing too—practically all men do."

"No way?" Fo Lanying calmed down a little. "All men are that disgusting?"

"Uh, you can’t really call it disgusting. It’s a basic need. Men and women are different, so you find it hard to accept, but we should learn to understand it, right?" Bai Ruozhu struggled to choose her words. "From a doctor’s point of view, young, strong men all have this kind of need. If they don’t get some regular relief, it’s easy for them to suffer from excess heat, nosebleeds, even irritation and restlessness—it affects their health."

"It’s that serious?" Fo Lanying was clearly shocked.

Bai Ruozhu nodded. "Would I lie to you? So don’t feel disgusted. From another angle, that’s normal male behavior. Men and women are built differently, after all."

Fo Lanying stayed silent for a long time; she still seemed unable to completely wrap her head around it, but was clearly not as repulsed as she’d been at first.

Once Fo Lanying left, Bai Ruozhu let out a heavy sigh. Fo Lanying’s mother had obviously never talked to her about any of this; Bai Ruozhu really was worrying herself sick over Fo Lanying.

Jiang Yichun slipped into the Room. His long fingers tipped up Bai Ruozhu’s chin, his voice carrying a dangerous edge. "I did that too?"

Bai Ruozhu’s mouth twitched. "This isn’t good, you know. How can a big man go listen at the wall root?"

"Don’t change the subject. You just casually told another woman about my private affairs?" Jiang Yichun let out a cold little laugh.

"Come on, I didn’t say anything else, did I? I was just trying to make Lan Ying feel better. You’re really taking it seriously." Bai Ruozhu’s gaze darted away; she didn’t dare look him in the eyes. This Demon definitely wasn’t thinking anything proper.

He lowered his head to her ear. "Since you’ve already said it... then you can give me a hand."

He grabbed her hand and pressed her little hand down below him.

"Ah..." Bai Ruozhu was startled by how burning hot the iron rod was. This was retribution—she’d brought this on herself.

"Don’t think about running. No way I’m letting you off today." He grinned wickedly as he spoke.

The next morning, both of Bai Ruozhu’s arms ached. That guy had definitely done it on purpose—left hand to right hand, right hand back to left, she’d almost been exhausted to tears. This was going way too far.

"Ruozhu!" Fo Lanying bounded over and grabbed her arm. Bai Ruozhu couldn’t help sucking in a breath; her arm hurt...

"What’s wrong? Are you hurt?" Fo Lanying asked worriedly.

Bai Ruozhu was on the verge of tears and muttered, "It’s all your fault."

"What?" Fo Lanying hadn’t heard clearly.

"Nothing, the ship rocked really badly and I accidentally fell off the bed and banged it."
