Chapter 12

Soon, the kindergarten class bell rang.

The female teacher walked to the podium and clapped: "Good morning, students."

"Good morning, Teacher!" The classroom responded in unison, everyone proudly placing their handicraft homework on their desks.

A girl in the back saw Xia Ying's prawn and whispered in admiration: "Xia Ying, your handicraft homework looks really nice!"

Little Xia Ying didn't answer much, her eyes kept glancing worriedly toward Liu Wenjie at the front.

Though Older Brother Wenjie was amazing, could he really make one in two minutes?

The female teacher smiled on the podium: "Teacher has already seen everyone's handicraft on the desks—they're all very nice. Yesterday Class Three had the same homework assigned, so how about the two classes join together for handicraft class later? Everyone can share paper-folding experience."

The children replied "Okay" again.

Soon the Class Three children arrived at the classroom door, arranged by their teacher to merge classes, walking in one by one in line.

Only Liu Wenjie, sitting by the window, remained very curious.

There were six classes in kindergarten—merged classes had always been random before, so why had Class One been merged with Class Three so often lately?

Though unlikely, could it be because Class Three had Xu Feifei?

Every time they merged, the teacher would smile brightly at the podium and occasionally glance at him—almost like it was intentional.

The female teacher noticed Liu Wenjie staring at her, coughed, and turned away pretending nothing had happened—who wouldn't want to watch the drama?

After Class Three arrived, the teachers had everyone sit in order—only one person beside each student to avoid chaos.

Liu Wenjie was seated next to a girl with very long hair.

The girl clearly knew the famed Liu Wenjie; once seated she shyly greeted him: "Hi~ Liu Wenjie I know you, today we're deskmates, I'm so happy—can I call you Jiejie?"

Liu Wenjie casually said something.

The girl pouted in displeasure.

Meanwhile proud Xu Feifei sat next to a boy, conveniently right beside Liu Wenjie.

Except Liu Wenjie, everyone facing kindergarten star Xu Feifei was delighted, so the boy excitedly said: "Xu Feifei you're really so beautiful."

Xu Feifei triumphantly flicked her hair and placed an exquisite handmade box on the desk: "Of course, thank you for the compliment." Her eyes glanced at Liu Wenjie beside her; seeing his indifferent gaze she gave a soft snort.

Actually Xu Feifei had already known about today's merged class via some grapevine, so the handicraft in the box was last night's exquisite joint effort by her parents and handicraft teacher—four people in total. Today she would completely defeat Liu Wenjie!

Let him know that not becoming her good friend was the most regrettable decision of his life!

The two kindergarten teachers saw everyone seated: "Everyone's seated? Then please place yesterday's handicraft homework on the desks—first appreciate each other's work."

The classroom quickly descended into chaos—noisy clamoring; many gathered to see Xu Feifei: "Feifei, what's your handicraft homework? I see your box is so pretty."

Xu Feifei's face brimmed with confidence; she unhurriedly opened the ribbon-tied box before her.

The lid unfolded outward, revealing inside a small car made of expensive star-sparkling colored cardstock.

The car was not only exquisite, but had interior details and license plates; the entire work looked even better than real life, sparkling in the children's eyes.

Blinding everyone's eyes.

"Wow! Such a beautiful car! What paper is this—why are there so many little stars sparkling!"

Hearing the praise, Xu Feifei unhurriedly opened the car door, revealing the interior details.

Those around were even more astonished—their handicrafts were mere exterior models, but Xu Feifei's car could actually open its doors.

"It can open doors! Just like real!"

Xu Feifei curled her lips, inwardly delighted as she introduced:

"Of course, I spent the whole night making this. These papers aren't something you can just buy—my mom bought them specially for me when she traveled abroad. Even I don't have much, but I know everyone will love seeing my work, so..."

Xu Feifei generously opened her little book bag and took out a small stack of the sparkling star-colored cardstock: "I brought the rest to share with my friends—but only my friends get any!"

Hearing Xu Feifei would share such beautiful paper, everyone became extremely excited.

Surrounded by the crowd, Xu Feifei glanced sidelong at Liu Wenjie, thinking—are you envious now?

She set aside some colored paper in front of her alone.

Someone nearby asked: "Feifei, is the paper in front of you for your own use? I see you took it out separately."

Xu Feifei had been waiting for this question; proudly she said:

"Oh no, this paper is special—it's an opportunity. If someone in this world doesn't want to be Xu Feifei's friend but later regrets it, Xu Feifei can still forgive him and give him all this paper—depends on when he comes to find me!"

Liu Wenjie nearby heard this and glanced speechlessly at Xu Feifei.

This girl was really amusing—every time after being rejected she'd say she wouldn't come again, yet every time she'd say something like this.

What exactly was going on in her head.

The kindergarten teacher enjoying the show walked over and noticed Liu Wenjie had nothing in front of him—curious: "Little Liu Wenjie, where's your handicraft homework? Why aren't you bringing it up?"

Little Xia Ying in the back had been waiting—she feared Liu Wenjie couldn't finish, so if the teacher scolded Liu Wenjie she'd raise her hand and say hers was Liu Wenjie's, to prevent Older Brother Wenjie from being punished.

But Liu Wenjie unhurriedly said: "It's not that I'm not bringing it—I just haven't made it yet. Yesterday my parents taught me many paper-folding methods, I'll make it now."

"Make it now?"

Liu Wenjie casually took some paper and deliberately said: "Regular paper is fine—too pretty and I'm not used to it."

Xu Feifei nearby froze—wasn't that referring to her paper?

Liu Wenjie stared at the paper before him, utilizing Art Level Three to rapidly fold paper into ships, skyscrapers, dinosaurs, Ultraman—each exquisitely made.

Every child in the classroom, including the teachers, stared unblinkingly at Liu Wenjie producing these works in extremely short time.

Xu Feifei was also dumbstruck—the star cardstock before her slid powerlessly to the floor... like roadside trash.

How... how was this possible! How could he make such beautiful crafts with simple paper—how could this happen!

After Liu Wenjie finished folding, he said to the teacher: "There, these should be enough."

The children of both classes suddenly burst out, each wanting Liu Wenjie to teach them how.

Xu Feifei looked back at her "ordinary" handicraft, cheeks puffed in anger, tears in her eyes, throat making aggrieved sobbing sounds.

So infuriating!

Why was he so skilled! Why on earth!

Little Xia Ying in the back also breathed relief, smiling in admiration.

Older Brother Wenjie was truly amazing.

Similar days passed for another few months, and before they knew it the relaxed kindergarten days were coming to an end.
