Chapter 1764 - 400: No Grudge, No Hatred—See You in the Next Life (First Update)
"Miss Ji, how can you just leave like this? I haven’t had a chance to apologize to you yet. Let me make it up to you..."
Meng Junci’s eyes quickly flashed with a cold glimmer. Ji Yunya, today you won’t walk out of this villa alive.
"Then I’ll trouble Miss Meng." Yun Ya said with a smile, clutching a handkerchief.
"Sister Yun Ya..." Yan Xing tugged on her sleeve in a panic... You know she has ill intentions, yet you still go with her...
Yun Ya gently patted Yan Xing’s hand, "You wait here for me, I’ll be right back."
"Miss Ji, this way please." Meng Junci lowered her gaze, hiding the fleeting coldness in her eyes.
The two left one after the other, and as Yan Xing was about to follow, Huo Chanyi blocked her path.
"Move aside."
"Miss Yan, my classmates all want to meet you, can you give me this favor?"
"I don’t care whether they’re your classmates or not. Good dogs don’t block the way. Get lost and make way."
Yan Xing watched as the two’s figures disappeared around the corner on the second floor, suddenly turning to look beside her, it was empty; Shi Ba had disappeared at some point.
On the second-floor corridor, there was dim yellow lighting. This long corridor seemed to lead to Hell, where a solitary lamp flickered and shadows cast onto the floor stretched and shortened with their footsteps.
"Do you know how I’ve been getting through these days?" Suddenly a sinister chill came from a voice, like the wail of a ghost, abruptly sending a chill up one’s back.
Yun Ya’s footsteps were light and slow, she sighed upon hearing it: "I don’t know, but I can imagine."
"Indeed, people like you who haven’t experienced it can never understand this pain." Meng Junci suddenly laughed, the laughter was desolate and strange, "You will never understand..." spoken word by word, as if squeezed out from between her lips and teeth.
"Is that so?"
Meng Junci suddenly pushed Yun Ya against the wall, reaching out with her only intact hand to pinch Yun Ya’s neck. Yun Ya didn’t move, letting the thin, bony fingers grip her throat.
"So I swear, to make you suffer a hundredfold... no, a thousandfold of this pain."
The hatred in her eyes erupted fiercely, like a volcanic burst, a flash flood breaking its banks, almost tearing Yun Ya to pieces.
Yun Ya continued to smile, without a hint of panic, seeming not to feel the imminent danger.
What Meng Junci hated most about this woman was her indifference to everything, and she tightened her grip on Yun Ya’s neck: "What are you laughing at?"
"I’m laughing because you’re foolish."
"Ji—Yun—Ya." Meng Junci was utterly enraged, "Ah..." she screamed, pinching Yun Ya’s neck with such force that it seemed she would break it.
However, she was actually powerless, it felt like scratching an itch. Yun Ya pushed her away, causing Meng Junci’s back to slam against the opposite wall. With a missing arm, her body lost its balance, and she couldn’t control it well, leading her to tilt to the side.
Yun Ya smoothed her skirt, raised an eyebrow, and smiled faintly: "Meng Junci, is this all you can do?"
Meng Junci knelt on the ground, her fingers tightly clutching the carpet beneath her, veins bulging on the back of her hand, suddenly lifting her gaze to smile.
The laughter abruptly stopped, glaring venomously at Yun Ya: "Ji Yunya, next year on this day will be your memorial, go die."
At the end of the corridor, against the light, a figure stood there.
Like the source of light, the person walked forward step by step, their face obscured, an aura of killing intent silently spread.
Yun Ya’s back pressed against the wall, she snickered coldly, "Then let’s see if you have that ability."
Meng Junci got up and shouted at the person, "Hurry and kill her."
The person’s steps were measured slow, as if strolling leisurely, yet the chill rigour of their released killing intent filled the narrow corridor, making it hard for one to even breathe.
"Faster..." Meng Junci screamed hysterically.
As they reached the boundary of the light, the person suddenly moved, their figure was as swift as wind, darting towards Yun Ya—they extended their hand like a claw, Yun Ya could even see the gleaming sharp nails.
Meng Junci watched with satisfaction, Ji Yunya, go die for me.
Yet a faster shadow suddenly appeared, blocking in front of Yun Ya, using a high heel to thwart the incoming attack.
Shi Ba raised her chin slightly, scoffing coolly, "Blood Shadow, I’ve finally caught you, this time surrender obediently."
Yun Ya could clearly feel the person’s breath pause. Shi Ba kicked at them, and they blocked with their hand, "thud thud" retreating backward.
