Chapter 1301 - 252: Fate’s Caprice Comes Knocking (Part 4)
Looking at the innocent Xingxing and the sickly Huahua, Meng Shujing sighed, wishing she could meet Ji Yunya’s mother to learn some parenting skills from her, to understand how to raise such an outstanding daughter.
Sometimes raising a child to be too innocent isn’t a good thing, as daughters will eventually marry into someone else’s family. With Xingxing’s naive demeanor, she might be completely taken advantage of once she’s married.
On the way back, Zhuang Xiyue held Yun Ya’s hand and asked, "Yunya, are you getting used to living here?"
Yunya smiled and said, "Everything is great, very comfortable."
Zhuang Xiyue nodded, "It’s been almost half a month now; after the New Year, it’s going to be your and Ah Song’s engagement party. I’ve already prepared the wedding house for you. Since we’re free today, I’ll take you to see it."
The wedding house? Could it be the place Brother Yan took her to when she first arrived in Capital City?
Yunya nodded with a smile, "Alright."
Zhuang Xiyue took Yunya to Meijing Tiancheng Residential Area. The car stopped at the entrance, and they walked into the building, found the door number, and it was indeed the house Brother Yan had brought her to.
"Come in and take a look. I bought this house two years ago, and I personally oversaw and designed the renovation. Let me know if you like it. If there are any parts you don’t like, I’ll have someone change it."
Everything was familiar. Yunya walked around, smiled, and said, "I really like it, let’s keep it as is."
"With so many people living in the Yan Family, it could be inconvenient. After the engagement, you can move out. If you prefer not to live with us, then stay here. Everything is ready; I’ll gradually add more things. This house is big enough, with a duplex structure; it’s more than spacious for the two of you." Zhuang Xiyue pulled her to the balcony, pointed at the flower room, and said, "When I was a child, I wished for a big flower room, even in winter, it’s still warm and blossoming inside."
Unexpectedly, this flower room was something Aunt Zhuang designed. Yunya had thought it was Brother Yan. Aunt Zhuang turned out to be a romantic person with good taste.
Zhuang Xiyue took her to see every room. Time passed unknowingly, and soon it was noon.
"Let’s go. We’ll have lunch outside, and in the afternoon, we’ll meet a designer to take your measurements for the engagement party dress. You’ll need at least three sets..."
While chatting, the two walked out of the apartment building to a small square. The square had a large fountain, being a high-end community where few people were seen. Occasionally, they saw two or three elderly people practicing swordplay or nannies taking kids for a walk.
After walking a few steps, they met a woman coming towards them, who exclaimed in surprise upon seeing Zhuang Xiyue, "Yueyue, why are you here?"
The woman was Zhuang Xiyue’s close friend, An Ying. Clad in designer clothes, with large bags, she seemed to have just come back from shopping. A young girl accompanied her, it was Mo Pianpian, whom they had met once before.
Mo Pianpian looked curiously at Yunya, her eyes showing a hint of curiosity.
"I brought Yunya to see the wedding house. Aren’t you living in Wangfujing? Have you moved here now?" Zhuang Xiyue asked with a smile.
"Come on, since we’ve run into each other, you must come to my place and have a look, get familiar with the house, and Yunya, you should come too." Without hesitation, she pulled Zhuang Xiyue ahead.
"Don’t bring it up. I really had enough of that house, so I discussed it with Chao An, and moved out. This is the house I bought earlier; it was originally intended as a dowry for Pianpian, but that’ll be for later. You said wedding house? What wedding house..."
Due to losing her eldest daughter, An Ying was not favored by Mo’s parents, and had recently argued again over some matters, eventually moving out in frustration.
Mo Pianpian and Yunya naturally fell behind, Mo Pianpian approached Yunya, greeting her sweetly, "Hi, I’m Mo Pianpian."
Yunya nodded with a smile, "Hi, I’m Ji Yunya."
"You’re eighteen, right? I’m sixteen this year. Can I call you Sister Yun Ya?" Mo Pianpian blinked her big eyes and asked.
This girl seemed genuinely innocent, her eyes clear and pure. Yunya laughed and said, "Of course you can."
"Sister Yun Ya, Aunt Zhuang mentioned the wedding house, is it the house for you and Brother Yan Song’s marriage?"
"Yes."
"That’s wonderful. We’re living in the same community, so we can meet often. That day, I wanted to greet you, but Brother Yan Song was guarding you, and I didn’t dare approach. You have no idea, Brother Yan Song always has a stern face, only softening in front of you. You were so amazing that day, and we all secretly talked about you afterwards. Sister Yun Ya, how come you play the piano so well? It seems you’re good at everything, making me seem so ordinary in comparison." Mo Pianpian chattered away, seemingly overflowing with words despite just meeting a stranger.
