Chapter 489: I Don’t Accept Verbal Thanks!
Jinxiu Villa, Mu Yan returned home and placed a flower basket on the coffee table in the living room, then took another one and placed it on the shoe cabinet at the door, and the last one in the bedroom. When she went downstairs, Yu Ma had already set the dishes on the table.
Mu Yan glanced at the time, wondering why he hadn’t come home yet.
Suddenly, she heard the sound of a car engine being turned off outside.
Her eyes lit up, and she quickly walked to the door, bumping right into Jiang Jingheng.
"You’re back," she said with a smile.
"Mm." Jiang Jingheng kissed her on the cheek and asked, "Have you been home for long?"
"Just a little less than an hour before you," Mu Yan replied, taking the clothes from his hands, "Hurry in and wash your hands for dinner."
"Mm." Jiang Jingheng changed his shoes and came in.
His gaze fell on the flower basket on the coffee table and he said, "The flower basket is beautiful."
Mu Yan turned her head and smiled at him, "An impromptu creation, thanks for the compliment."
"Did things go smoothly today?" Jiang Jingheng asked.
Mu Yan placed his clothes on the sofa and responded, "I think this supplier is quite good, we can probably settle on them."
"Do you really not need my help?"
"When I need your help, I will definitely ask!" Mu Yan said earnestly.
Is that a refusal? Jiang Jingheng didn’t press her further.
Mu Yan sat at the dining table, and in no time, finished a bowl of rice, and then added half a bowl more.
Jiang Jingheng frowned, "Didn’t you eat outside today?"
"No, it’s just that Yu Ma’s cooking is too delicious." Mu Yan looked at Yu Ma and praised.
Yu Ma hurriedly said, "Young Madam, you’re too kind."
Jiang Jingheng’s eyes were slightly dangerous, "Are you saying my cooking isn’t as good as Yu Ma’s?"
Mu Yan chuckled, "Of course not, your cooking is the best."
Such a sweet talker, Jiang Jingheng’s lips curved slightly.
Actually, he was teasing her, seeing her like this, he knew she hadn’t eaten well outside today.
"You are only allowed to eat this half bowl more, otherwise you’ll be uncomfortable sleeping tonight."
"Okay!" Mu Yan laughed, burying her head and continuing to eat.
After dinner, Jiang Jingheng took Mu Yan back to the bedroom, leaving Yu Ma to clean up the dining table.
Mu Yan finished showering, took her laptop, and sat at the bedside to review the planning document.
Jiang Jingheng came out of the bathroom and saw her staring at the computer, not even giving him a glance, and frowned slightly.
"You’ve been on the move all day, aren’t you tired?"
"I’ll just revise the plan a bit, there’s only a little left, and then I’ll sleep." Mu Yan said while typing on the keyboard.
Jiang Jingheng said nothing, walked over, and leaned against her quietly watching her work.
In just a few minutes, Mu Yan finished revising the plan.
"Do you want me to take a look at it?" Jiang Jingheng suddenly said.
Mu Yan was startled, only then noticing Jiang Jingheng lying beside her.
She asked tentatively, "This is child’s play, do you really want to look?"
"Give it to me." Jiang Jingheng directly took the computer from her hands and began to look.
Mu Yan didn’t refuse.
Jiang Jingheng reviewed while making notes on places that needed changes.
Mu Yan looked at him with admiration, noticing issues he pointed out that she hadn’t seen after staring at it for so long.
In no time, Jiang Jingheng finished the revisions.
Mu Yan hugged the laptop, her face full of excitement, feeling confident this time it would work.
Jiang Jingheng smiled and asked, "Really want to open a store?"
"Mm!" Mu Yan nodded.
Compared to the previous simple desire to make money, the idea of starting a business now seemed to have an added layer of meaning.
It’s a feeling of rebirth, different from what acting gave her.
Jiang Jingheng stared at her for a few seconds and said, "Good luck."
"Thank you, hubby!" Mu Yan leaned over and kissed him on the cheek.
Jiang Jingheng’s eyes darkened slightly, he turned over and pressed her beneath him, tossing the laptop aside.
"I don’t accept verbal thanks."
