Chapter 486: Exceptionally Gifted!
Chapter 486: Exceptionally Gifted!
After spending most of the day inspecting the flower fields, Mu Yan and Song Cheng’an drove back to Upper City together.Several bouquets of freshly-picked flowers, including sunflowers, tulips, and hyacinths, were placed on the back seat.
Mu Yan sat next to him with a flower basket on her knees, holding scissors in one hand and flower stems in the other, cutting and arranging them into the basket.
Sitting in the driver’s seat, Song Cheng’an reminded, "Fix them later at home. Don’t you get carsick with all this shaking?"
"I don’t get carsick," Mu Yan replied. "Besides, it’ll take a few hours to get home, so this way, I won’t get bored."
"Just don’t force yourself," Song Cheng’an said.
Mu Yan focused intently on the flowers in her hands, carefully trimming and placing each one.
At one point, Song Cheng’an handed her some water to drink.
Seeing her so engrossed, he couldn’t bear to disturb her.
By the time they reached the boundary of Upper City, all the flower stems had been arranged in the basket.
At the gas station, Song Cheng’an finally had the opportunity to see Mu Yan’s work.
Three flower baskets, each with a different design. Even someone like him, who knew nothing about flower arranging, found them beautiful.
The combination of different colors enhanced each other, with none overshadowed.
The three baskets, each unique, were equally splendid.
He couldn’t help but worry a bit, "You aren’t planning to switch careers and become a florist, are you?"
Though he was tasked by Jiang Jingheng to look after her, over time, he couldn’t help but wonder how far she could go.
As her manager, having accompanied her all the way, he was well aware of her talent in showbiz.
Mu Yan laughed, "Brother Song, don’t tease me. I’m just trying it out, honing my skills."
Song Cheng’an laughed, realizing he was worrying needlessly.
Or perhaps, he wasn’t tired of this industry yet.
However, the fact that she hadn’t systematically learned flower arrangement yet performed so excellently—she was truly a genius.
He was still curious as to where Jiang Jingheng had found such a gem.
Her luck was truly extraordinary.
After refueling, Song Cheng’an drove on.
With nothing to do, and having focused so intently earlier, Mu Yan soon fell asleep against the seat.
After an unknown amount of time, her phone rang.
Mu Yan opened her eyes, picked up the phone, and saw that it was Jiang Jingheng calling.
She answered immediately, "I’ve reached Upper City now, and I’ll be home soon."
"Okay, I’ll be waiting for you at home."
Mu Yan hung up and yawned, then looked out the window and didn’t go back to sleep.
In the club corridor, after hanging up the phone, Jiang Jingheng turned back to the private room.
Inside the room were Lan Xi, Ning Ze, Dong Le, and others.
Besides familiar faces and bodyguards, there was also a woman.
Hu Jiao shook slightly when Jiang Jingheng entered, instinctively moving aside as if to reduce danger.
Ning Ze looked at Jiang Jingheng and said, "Brother Jiang, everything has been made clear."
"Hmm?" Jiang Jingheng turned around, his peach blossom eyes sweeping over Hu Jiao, with a gaze devoid of warmth.
Feeling the icy gaze, Hu Jiao lowered her head even further.
"Miss Hu felt that Mu Yan had wronged Zhao Xiyue and wanted to stand up for her good friend by slandering Mu Yan."
Upon hearing this, Hu Jiao’s heart trembled, and she quickly said, "Young Master Jiang, I was wrong. I won’t dare to do it again."
Dong Le sneered, "Everyone who wrongs Brother Jiang says that, but the outcome is always the same."
Hu Jiao looked at him with fear. Everyone in their circle knew the severe consequences of offending Young Master Jiang.
She originally thought Young Master Jiang didn’t hold Mu Yan in high regard, but unexpectedly, he acknowledged her status, having Ning Ze and the others call her sister-in-law.
"Handle it according to the usual practice," Jiang Jingheng said indifferently, picked up his coat, and prepared to leave.
"Got it!" Ning Ze signaled his men.
Two men in black suits immediately approached Hu Jiao and grabbed her.
Filled with despair, Hu Jiao struggled, "Let me go, let me go!"
Suddenly, with a "bang," the door was pushed open.
