Chapter 438: She Wants to Paint!

Chapter 438: She Wants to Paint!

The art exhibition Mu Yan was attending was held at the Upper City International Exhibition Center. She was invited by the artist Liuyun to view the exhibition.

She wasn’t really familiar with Liuyun, only having met her a few years ago when she represented her school in a competition.

However, when she was accused of plagiarism and expelled, Liuyun spoke out in her defense.

So when she invited her, she decided to come.

She is now quite a popular figure in the circle, attracting a lot of attention wherever she goes.

On her way, she was stopped several times, but she finally made it to the entrance of the exhibition center.

As she was looking around for someone, a female voice called out, "Mu Yan!"

Mu Yan followed the voice and saw a tall girl with short hair walking towards her.

She had a delicate face, fair skin, and was dressed in sportswear, looking fresh and energetic.

Mu Yan thought she looked familiar and walked over, saying, "You are Liuyun, right? Hello."

Liuyun sincerely said, "Thank you for coming to my art exhibition. My real name is Liu Yun, which sounds the same as Liuyun."

"You’re too kind, actually I should thank you for inviting me to the exhibition," Mu Yan replied with a smile.

Liu Yun tilted her head and said, "Please, go ahead."

"Sure, please lead the way," Mu Yan nodded slightly and followed her inside.

The exhibition hall was large and there were quite a few people, most of whom were adults with children.

Everyone’s attention was on the paintings, which made Mu Yan feel more at ease.

If a scene of being surrounded by fans happened in the gallery, it wouldn’t be good.

Mu Yan’s gaze fixated on the paintings on the wall; she had to admit that Liuyun was truly a talented painter.

Her painting style was fresh and delicate, and her strokes were controlled and effortless.

The mountains, the waters, the people, everything in the scenes exuded a sense of beauty.

Seeing Mu Yan absorbed in the paintings, Liu Yun suddenly asked, "Have you ever thought about continuing to paint?"

Mu Yan snapped out of it, looked at her, and shook her head, saying, "No, I will not paint again."

"That’s such a pity," Liu Yun frowned, "If you had continued painting, the person holding this exhibition could be you."

As an artist, holding a solo exhibition was a great honor.

Once, it had been Mu Yan’s goal as well.

"There are many disappointments in life," Mu Yan smiled, "But I very much enjoy the simple pleasure of appreciating artworks now."

Liu Yun understood that some things couldn’t be forced, nodded, and said, "Alright, take your time, I need to slip away for a moment."

"Mm, you go do your thing," Mu Yan nodded, watching Liu Yun leave and then walking along the corridor.

Actually, her heart wasn’t as calm as she claimed.

When she saw these paintings, it seemed like some elements in her blood were coming alive, boiling.

Even her left hand, which could no longer paint, began to tremble. She knew it wanted to paint.

But, so what!

No matter how talented a person is, if their hand is crippled, they are still useless!

Mu Yan put away these distracting thoughts and continued walking forward.

Suddenly, her gaze swept over a tall man in front who was intently admiring the artworks, and she felt he was somewhat familiar.

She took a closer look, and a trace of surprise passed through her heart. Why was he here?

As if sensing someone was watching him, Ning Shishen instinctively turned his head and saw Mu Yan standing not far away.

There was a hint of daze in his expression; it had been two months since he last saw her since the IOC event earlier this year.

He originally thought the traces she left in his heart had faded away.

But seeing her again, that feeling rekindled.

He suppressed the fluttering in his heart, slightly nodded, "Miss Mu, what a coincidence, long time no see."
