Chapter 341: Accident!
Chapter 341: Accident!
The next day, Qin Xi went to Lin City for the fan meeting.Mu Yan’s filming had been going smoothly lately, as if she was on a roll, with almost no NGs, and the shooting was nearing its end.
Ever since the news broke about her pushing out Xu Youxi, Mu Yan had hardly spoken to He Jianzhou in private.
She suspected that someone in the crew had leaked this information, and He Jianzhou was the prime suspect.
However, it seemed that He Jianzhou had a change of heart and no longer made snide remarks at her.
The two were basically minding their own business.
The next scene was a martial arts scene, and Director Zeng was explaining the details to Mu Yan and He Jianzhou with the martial arts director.
Mu Yan wasn’t afraid of the wire rigging; the one who should be worried was He Jianzhou.
Every time he was on the wire, it was continuous NGs, and everyone was used to it.
"Jianzhou, focus a bit, and try to nail it on the first take," Director Zeng said.
Mu Yan rolled her eyes upward, glancing at He Jianzhou.
He Jianzhou noticed her gaze, tugged at the corner of his mouth, and said to Director Zeng, "I’ll do my best."
The two of them walked into the set together, and he suddenly said, "Were you just mocking me for being useless?"
Mu Yan looked at him in surprise, "Was I?"
"It’s written all over your face," He Jianzhou smirked, "Don’t think I don’t know."
"Since you know, you should work even harder," Mu Yan said with a hint of a smile.
He Jianzhou suddenly sighed, "Anyway, everyone knows I’m not good at it, so a few more NGs shouldn’t matter."
Mu Yan’s expression darkened, too lazy to speak to him, and she walked ahead quickly.
If he kept NGing, she’d be the one to suffer in the end.
She didn’t want to stay suspended in mid-air all the time, it was uncomfortable!
He Jianzhou watched Mu Yan’s back, clicking his tongue, she really did hate him.
Sure enough, He Jianzhou kept NGing in the action scenes, and Mu Yan was so exhausted hanging in mid-air, filming the same move over and over again.
Director Zeng scolded He Jianzhou time and again, and eventually gave up bothered to speak.
After shooting a few more scenes, Director Zeng could no longer bear it and reluctantly passed the scene.
Mu Yan climbed down from the metal frame beside her, dusted off her clothes, and prepared to take a break.
He Jianzhou came over, looking at her innocently, "Sorry for making you NG along with me."
Mu Yan felt his apology lacked any sincerity and ignored him.
"Do you know why I hate you so much?" He Jianzhou suddenly asked.
Mu Yan looked at him, "Why?"
"Do you think we look a lot alike?" He Jianzhou chuckled softly.
Mu Yan looked speechless, "What, are you going to say we’re long-lost siblings?"
He Jianzhou laughed, "Listening to you, I think there might really be such a possibility."
"Ridiculous!" Mu Yan rolled her eyes internally, ready to walk away.
"Watch out." Suddenly someone shouted.
Out of the corner of her eye, Mu Yan saw something falling towards her and He Jianzhou.
Her expression changed slightly, pulling He Jianzhou’s arm and diving to the side, "Get out of the way!"
He Jianzhou had no idea what was happening, and with her pull, he fell to the ground.
With a "bang", a heavy object hit the ground, dust flying everywhere.
He looked at the fallen metal frame beside him, and broke out in a cold sweat. If it had hit him, he’d either be dead or seriously injured.
"Jianzhou, Mu Yan, are you okay?" The staff nearby ran over to ask.
He Jianzhou snapped back to reality, turning his head to see Mu Yan holding her foot, her face pale.
"Mu Yan, what’s wrong?" some staff came over to ask.
