Chapter 294: You Also Deserve a Lesson?

Jiang Jingheng rushed to the door and asked the doctor, "How is she?"The doctor replied, "We have administered medication to the patient; she is basically stable now. However, the patient has a unique constitution and absolutely cannot come into contact with allergens again, or she could face a life-threatening situation."

"Okay." Jiang Jingheng narrowed his eyes. He remembered she was allergic to shrimp.

But no shrimp was ordered tonight.

Soon, Mu Yan was transferred to a regular ward.

She was lying on the hospital bed, on an IV drip, with an unusual redness on her face and body.

Jiang Jingheng looked at her like this, feeling heartbroken and in deep pain.

No one could understand the fear he had while watching her unconscious; he was terrified of even the slightest possibility of losing her.

If she were no longer in this world, his life would lose its brightness forever.

Thinking about how just a moment ago she was laughing and talking in front of him, and now she lay unconscious on a hospital bed, a violent streak grew wildly in his heart.

A cold light flashed in his light brown eyes, and suddenly he got up and left the ward.

Lu Hao and the others were still outside, not yet gone.

Seeing Jiang Jingheng come out, Lu Hao stepped forward and said, "Jing Heng..."

Jiang Jingheng ignored him and walked up to Zheng Lu Hua, "How was the soup after dinner?"

Zheng Lu Hua felt a bit baffled and nodded, saying, "It was quite delicious."

Lu Hao’s heart sank. Old Jiang was still so sharp, immediately identifying the key point.

Of course, this only showed how much he cared about Mu Yan.

He felt a tight grip on his arm and turned to see Lan Xi holding onto him, her eyes full of fear.

Jiang Jingheng continued to ask Zheng Lu Hua, "Can you tell what ingredients were in the soup?"

His gaze suddenly landed on Lan Xi, as sharp and fierce as a leopard’s.

Zheng Lu Hua thought for a moment, ready to speak, when Lan Xi’s trembling voice came through, "Brother Jiang, I didn’t do it on purpose, I didn’t expect this to happen."

Dong Le and Ning Ze and the others looked at her in surprise, "Lan Xi, what are you talking about?"

Lan Xi lowered her head and cried, not daring to speak.

She disliked Mu Yan. Ever since she appeared, everyone’s attention had been on her.

She was no longer the group’s favorite, but she never thought she would truly be allergic, and so severely at that.

She kept crying, and Ning Ze and the others probably figured out that Mu Yan’s allergy had something to do with her.

Ning Ze thought of something and asked, "Could there have been shrimp in that soup?"

Zheng Lu Hua replied, "Yes, the shrimp flavor was strong in that soup, very fresh and tasty."

Ning Ze furrowed his brows; he finally understood why Lan Xi was suddenly so friendly to Mu Yan.

It was all just to confuse the other party.

"Old Jiang, this time Lan Xi was wrong, let’s talk it out properly." Lu Hao’s anxious voice came through.

He saw Jiang Jingheng coming over with an aura of menace like the Grim Reaper, and immediately stood in front of Lan Xi.

"Get out of the way!" Jiang Jingheng flung Lu Hao aside.

Lu Hao tried to block him again, but was kicked to the ground by him.

"Brother Lu!" Lan Xi cried and shouted, seeing Jiang Jingheng’s merciless demeanor, making her more terrified, and she kept retreating.

She pleaded, "Brother Jiang, I was wrong, please forgive me, I won’t dare again."

Jiang Jingheng walked up to her and directly grabbed her by the throat.

Lan Xi felt like her neck was about to break, unable to breathe.

"Let go, cough cough... let me go..."

She tried to pry Jiang Jingheng’s hand away, but couldn’t, as despair rose in her heart.

"Brother Jiang, don’t!" Ning Ze and Dong Le and the others immediately went up.

Jiang Jingheng narrowed his eyes, his icy gaze sweeping over, "What, do you need to be disciplined too?"
