Early in the morning, Lin Jiamu drove over to pick up Mu Yan.In the car, Mu Yan looked at the driver and said, "I can go by myself, there’s no need for you to trouble yourself to pick me up."

"I’m afraid someone might say one thing and do another," Lin Jiamu snorted lightly.

"Cough, cough..." Mu Yan feigned a cough and looked out the car window.

She happened to see a jewelry store by the roadside, her heart stirred.

Soon, the car stopped outside a private clinic in the community.

The receptionist pushed open the office door and said to the person inside, "Doctor Xu, Mr. Lin is here."

"Let them in," a steady male voice came out.

Lin Jiamu stepped inside first and greeted the person inside, "Jackson, I brought my friend along."

Mu Yan followed and saw a man sitting on a couch chair wearing gold-rimmed glasses, a surprised look flashed in her eyes; it was him.

Xu Yachong stood up, nodded at Mu Yan and said, "Hello, Miss Mu."

"Hello, Doctor Xu." Mu Yan nodded slightly.

Lin Jiamu wasn’t surprised Xu Yachong knew Mu Yan’s name, after all, Mu Yan was now quite a popular celebrity; it wasn’t strange to know her.

He said to Mu Yan, "Jackson is my friend, he’s an expert in this field, you can completely trust him."

"Mm." Mu Yan nodded, "I know, you go ahead and get busy, otherwise Brother Xie will be upset."

Lin Jiamu checked the time, it was indeed getting late.

"Okay, then I’m off."

He looked at Xu Yachong and said, "Jackson, I’ll leave my friend to you."

The door closed, and Xu Yachong looked at Mu Yan and said, "Miss Mu, please have a seat."

"Thank you." Mu Yan sat on the sofa.

Xu Yachong poured a glass of water, walked over and handed it to her, "Have some water first."

"Thank you." Mu Yan took the glass and placed it on the coffee table.

Xu Yachong sat across from her, seeing her composed manner, he laughed, "It seems Miss Mu only plans to go through the motions today."

Mu Yan said calmly, "I have no issues, don’t need to see a doctor."

"I understand your point of view, but why did you come here then?"

Mu Yan showed some helplessness on her face, "If I didn’t come, he definitely wouldn’t let it go, so I had no choice but to come."

Xu Yachong laughed, "You two are very close?"

Mu Yan nodded, "Mm, we are very good friends."

She picked up her phone, checked the time, "I’ll sit for a few minutes and then leave, you go ahead with your work."
