Ning Ze was about to leave when he heard a commotion nearby."You filthy bitch, acting all pure in front of me, huh? Pretty tough, aren’t you? If I don’t teach you a lesson today, my name’s not Dou!"
The man wiped the wine off his face and yanked Qin Xi by the arm, dragging her outside.
People around heard the commotion, but no one dared to intervene.
The young master of the Dou family was nothing but an untamed bully.
No one dared to interfere, and honestly, no one could be bothered, as such things were not uncommon here.
Qin Xi was already quite drunk, yet she was surprisingly strong. She shook off Dou Chengcai’s hand and grabbed a glass from the table, hurling it at him.
She roared, "Get lost!"
Dou Chengcai dodged the glass, and with a "crash," it shattered on the ground.

Ning Ze raised an eyebrow, "Unluckily for you, I’m in a good mood today and feel like meddling!"
Dou Chengcai’s face turned grim, "Ning Ze, don’t push it!"
Ning Ze sneered, "I’m bullying you, so what."
Dou Chengcai was furious, "You..."
"Dou Chengcai, in front of our Second Young Master Ning, who do you think you are? You better leave while you can," said one of Ning Ze’s buddies.
Dou Chengcai looked at the crowd opposing him, glared at Ning Ze a few times with hatred, "You just wait."
He gave a cold snort and turned to leave.
"Whoa, he chickened out, haha!" Ning Ze’s friends mocked.
Ning Ze looked at Dou Chengcai’s retreating figure with disdain.
He turned his head towards the bar, but the spot was empty.
He scanned the surroundings and saw Qin Xi heading to the exit.
He hesitated for a moment, then followed her.
Just as he got outside, he saw Qin Xi getting into a taxi and leaving.
He frowned slightly, "What kind of person just leaves without even a thank you."
"Second Young Master Ning, why did you come out?" someone chased after him and asked.
"It’s nothing, just needed some fresh air." Ning Ze said, then turned around and re-entered the bar.
Back at the apartment, Qin Xi was about to use her key to open the door when it opened from the inside.
"Xi Xi, where have you been? I was worried sick," Lu Zhaoming looked anxious.
He pulled her inside, caught a whiff of alcohol on her, and frowned slightly, "You’ve been drinking again?"
Qin Xi looked at him and answered with a question, "Have you thought about how you’re going to explain?"
Lu Zhaoming’s expression changed slightly, and he hurriedly said, "Xi Xi, I have a project with her family’s company. I can’t afford not to please her. You know our second branch has no status in the Lu family. If I don’t make any achievements, not only my parents but you too won’t have a good time in the Lu family."
"I don’t care about these things."
