Chapter 243: Don’t Do Bad Things to Me!
Mu Yan felt his body was as hot as fire, scorching her to the point of wanting to flee. But the large hand around her waist was so domineering and strong that it didn’t allow her to retreat.
His warm breath landed on her cheek, mixed with the faint scent of body wash, making her chest tingle with warmth.
The room was eerily quiet, with a hint of an ambiguous atmosphere lingering in the air.
Mu Yan leaned against him, listening to his strong heartbeat, and suddenly stopped struggling.
Wherever he was, she felt secure.
She gently scratched his arm with her finger and whispered, "Don’t do anything bad to me."
Above her head, his low laughter came through, "I would love to, but unfortunately, you’re sick, and I wouldn’t want to tire you out."
Blushing at his words, Mu Yan pinched him and said, "Don’t even think about it!"
Jiang Jingheng tightened his hold on her a bit more and said helplessly, "Aren’t you putting me in a tough spot?"
"I am not," Mu Yan immediately replied.
Jiang Jingheng nibbled on her ear and chuckled softly, "Alright, alright, it’s I who am troubling you."
Mu Yan knew she couldn’t outbrazen him, so she simply stopped responding.
She inched away and said, "It’s so hot, I can’t sleep comfortably like this."
Knowing she was shy, Jiang Jingheng didn’t push her and let her go.
Mu Yan immediately rolled to the other side, but her hand was held back.
She thought he was going to do something, and after waiting for a while, he just held her hand.
In the darkness, she suddenly pursed her lips and smiled, gripping his hand tightly, feeling as if their hearts had gotten a bit closer.
She slowly closed her eyes and soon drifted into slumber.
The next morning, she woke up in Jiang Jingheng’s embrace.
Although she was surprised at how she ended up in his arms while sleeping, with the experience of the last two times, she wasn’t flustered at all this time.
This was the first time she seriously looked at his face.
He was excessively good-looking, with delicate features and fair skin; the sleeping him had no trace of aggression, like a porcelain doll.
She never dreamed that one day she’d be with him, sleeping on the same bed, doing intimate things.
It seemed that apart from him, she couldn’t imagine falling for anyone else.
"Had enough looking?" his deep voice suddenly came through.
Caught peeking, Mu Yan instinctively closed her eyes to pretend to be asleep.
Jiang Jingheng opened his eyes, noticing her trembling eyelashes, and gently brushed her forehead with his hand, "The fever seems to have subsided."
He suddenly pecked her cheek and chuckled, "Do you think I look good?"
Mu Yan’s cheeks warmed, and she opened her eyes, pushing him away as she sat up, "I’m getting up now."
Before she could get out of bed, she was pulled back. Just as she was about to speak, someone rolled over and sealed her lips.
Mu Yan struggled a bit but couldn’t break free, so she finally let him have his way.
After the kiss ended, Mu Yan felt a bit guilty, "I’m still not over my cold."
Jiang Jingheng chuckled softly, "If I get it, I’ll be free to kiss you as I like."
Mu Yan glared at him, not wanting to talk to him any further.
She looked at the time. It was getting late, and if she didn’t get up, she’d be late today.
Jiang Jingheng didn’t cling to her either and let her get out of bed.
Before leaving the house, she remembered to ask him, "When are you leaving?"
"When do you hope I leave?" Jiang Jingheng asked in return.
Mu Yan pouted, of course, she’d like him to stay a few more days.
But, clearly, that wasn’t possible.
"You should head back early."
She didn’t want to hinder his important affairs.
Jiang Jingheng glanced at her and nodded, "Alright."
