Chapter 239: The Eerie Super Monstrous Civilization

Li Ye slowly nodded.

This time, he was truly tempted.

At the moment, the Tomorrow Alliance barely had enough funds on hand to afford the purchase.

The one receiving the four of them in the shop was still the same elder as before.

He informed the group that ordinarily, a Mobile City Lord would need to go through a strict review by the Three Major Human Organizations to purchase these two blueprints.

But the Tomorrow Alliance didn’t need to—its reputation had always been excellent.

After a simple procedure, the review was completed.

Before the transaction, the elder specially reminded Li Ye of one thing.

The Mobile Warrior created from the blueprint would be a lone general without troops. To equip it with corresponding land, sea, and air systems and weapons, they would need to obtain the matching blueprints and craft them accordingly.

Otherwise, the Mobile Warrior would have to fight enemies bare-handed.

“Ah?” Li Ye was stunned.

But thinking it over, he realized there was no need to worry. The necessary blueprints for components could be purchased from the Three Major Organizations.

In the end, it was just a matter of money.

With that, both sides completed the transaction.

After Li Ye stowed away the blueprints, Zhou Xing immediately spoke up in excitement.

“With this, our alliance will soon have a Mobile Warrior!”

Li Ye, however, looked a little wistful.

The money they had just obtained had been spent all at once.

Still, when he thought about it more carefully, the Tomorrow Alliance was making money quickly these days.

Just by casually eliminating a Level 1 or Level 2 Monstrous Civilization, they could gain a large amount of resources, blueprints, and Crystal Coins.

With some luck, they might even obtain Upgrade Blueprints, Structure Blueprints, or even City Crystals.

Previously, the Silence Agreement had limited everyone’s actions, preventing them from striking freely.

Now, things were much simpler.

The four of them exited the shop.

“Where are we going next, Alliance Leader?” Fang Yong asked.

“To meet with the upper echelon of Sky Dream Island and discuss the matter of recruitment,” Li Ye replied.

Under the guidance of a staff member, the four met with a representative arranged by Sky Dream Island’s leadership.

She was a woman in her early thirties, a red-haired professor wearing glasses, named Veronica.

She hailed from Titan Throne and was classified at T4 level.

“Hello, hello!” She warmly shook hands with Li Ye and the others, then adjusted her glasses and got straight to the point with her introduction.

The Tomorrow Alliance would travel aboard Sky Dream Island, following its route to Guixu Continent.

According to Veronica, Guixu Continent ranked twelfth among the continents on Canglan Star.

It was located in the southeastern part of the planet, essentially at the corner of the world.

But more than that, Li Ye was intrigued by something else.

“Guixu? Isn’t that a term from the Huaxia civilization of Blue Star? This planet actually has it too?” he thought.

After inquiring further, he learned that Huaxia civilization also existed on Canglan Star.

This Huaxia civilization was, overall, quite similar in culture to that of Blue Star.

“Could you tell me more about the Huaxia civilization?” Li Ye asked, genuinely interested.

So, Veronica continued her explanation.

Huaxia civilization was located on Donghua Continent, a supercontinent ranked first in land area.

The second-largest was Xirang Continent.

Both of these supercontinents were located in the northern hemisphere of Canglan Star.

“Northern hemisphere, huh...” Li Ye murmured.

Since the beginning, the Tomorrow Alliance had been moving around a few continents in the southern hemisphere. They had yet to visit the central or northern parts of Canglan Star.

“If there’s a chance, we should definitely take a look,” he thought.

Unlike Blue Star, the Huaxia civilization on Canglan Star had a population of four to five billion and was itself a superpower. It had even formed the Donghua Alliance with several dozen other countries on Donghua Continent.

Not just the Huaxia civilization—even the Western civilizations on Canglan Star weren’t much different from those on Blue Star.

Folklore, myths, arts and culture, and so on—all bore similarities.

“At this rate, isn’t Canglan Star basically a PULS version of Blue Star?” Li Ye inwardly mocked.

Once the introduction was over, Veronica began detailing the situation on Guixu Continent.

A Level 3 Super Monstrous Civilization had taken full control of the continent.

The Tomorrow Alliance’s task was to land on Guixu Continent and, while developing themselves, weaken this Super Monstrous Civilization as much as possible.

There was no need for direct confrontation—it would be a guerrilla-style campaign.

Zhou Xing and the other two were stunned upon hearing this, while Li Ye couldn’t help but feel a wave of emotion.

A Super Monstrous Civilization!

Every time he heard the term, he felt a surge of awe, even a touch of yearning.

These kinds of civilizations could often fight, or even defeat, all human and monstrous forces on a continent with just their own strength.

If not for the presence of World-class Organizations, they would have already succeeded.

Noticing Li Ye’s expression, Veronica smiled faintly.

“Yes, I’m also very fascinated by Super Monstrous Civilizations. These types of civilizations often have unique systems, and they’re extremely powerful—utterly captivating.”

“By the way, Professor Veronica, what type of Monstrous Civilization are we dealing with this time?” Zhou Xing asked.

“A Demon Civilization,” Veronica replied.

It wasn’t the fallen hell demons they had imagined—the demons took on bizarre and varied forms.

Mountains, lakes, buildings, roads, clothes, vehicles, swords, spears, staffs...

Every kind of demon had vastly different abilities.

To illustrate, Veronica specifically showed them a series of images and data on these demons.

A revolver demon in a full suit, with a massive gun barrel on its head.

A gas station demon that had sprouted limbs and spewed gasoline.

A sedan demon with eyes on its hood, zipping along at breakneck speed.

A computer demon that moved slowly but could invade data from targeted vehicles.

A cruise ship demon that roamed the seas.

Li Ye and the others stared at the images and data, wide-eyed.

They had truly broadened their horizons this time.

“I have a question, Professor Veronica,” Li Ye spoke up.

“Go ahead.”

“Didn’t you say that the Demon Civilization already completed its expansion and occupied all of Guixu Continent?” A hint of doubt flickered in Li Ye’s eyes. “Isn’t that the kind of behavior the World-class Monstrous Organizations hate the most? Aren’t they doing anything about it?”

Veronica smiled faintly and began her explanation.

Li Ye wasn’t wrong—among the Three Major Monstrous Organizations, expansionist behavior by Super Monstrous Civilizations was deeply loathed.

But the Demon Civilization was simply too unique.

Natural Selection had recognized the potential of the Demon Civilization and joined forces with the United Sect to protect it.

Otherwise, given the War Alliance’s usual methods, they would have annihilated the Demon Civilization at the first opportunity.

After the Silence Agreement was abolished, the Human Forces originally planned to deploy high-grade weaponry to destroy the Demon Civilization in one swift strike.

However, the Iron Oath Brotherhood proposed an alternative: Why not treat Guixu Continent, now occupied by the Demon Civilization, as a training ground—allowing Level 3 Cities or City Alliances from the Wasteland to go there and develop?

If the Demon Civilization ever showed signs of spiraling out of control, it wouldn’t be too late to intervene.

“So that’s how it is,” Li Ye muttered, suddenly understanding.

Now, he had developed immense curiosity toward the Demon Civilization.

And the same was true for Zhou Xing and the others.

“Professor Veronica, may I ask—are there any Mobile City demons over there?” Zhou Xing asked curiously.

“None have been discovered for now,” Veronica replied. “But given the tens of thousands of demon forms, I believe there should be.”

It wasn’t just the Tomorrow Alliance; quite a few Level 3 Mobile Cities from the Wasteland had already gone to Guixu Continent.

Some convoys and bounty hunters had even joined in.

At this point, Veronica couldn’t help but shrug.

“In short, it’s far livelier than you all might imagine.”

With that, the conversation ended. The four of them bid Veronica farewell and departed.

Zhou Xing immediately thought of a question.

“If Guixu Continent is so dangerous, should we send the Dawn to collect resources across the continent?” he asked.

Yang Zheng had another suggestion.

“How about we send it to the Western Wasteland Continent? That area’s relatively safer.”

“That’s way too far,” Zhou Xing shook his head.

Li Ye gently waved his hand.

There was no need to worry about that.

Most of the time, the Dawn would be digging and advancing underground—it was very safe. Plus, its food, fresh water, daily necessities, and fuel would all be provided by the Tomorrow.

They could also communicate by attaching notes while exchanging resources.

“In short, it’s a wandering city,” Li Ye said.

Summing it up, he couldn’t help but feel a touch of yearning in his heart.

Like a digging-type city, only needing to collect resources without having to fight—thinking about it, that didn’t sound so bad.

After returning to the docking zone, the group dispersed.

Li Ye specifically asked a staff member about the travel time.

From their current location to Guixu Continent, it would take three days in total.

So, he simply gave everyone three days off.

As usual, the Tomorrow Alliance erupted into joyful cheers.

Back in his room, Li Ye opened the System Panel.

A new batch of intelligence had been refreshed.

【1. The Pope of the Apocalypse Sect has carefully chosen a white puppy. (Intelligence Value: Ordinary)】

【2. There exists a faction of Old World humans in outer space. (Intelligence Value: Excellent)】

【3. There are currently six Level 7 Mobile Cities. (Intelligence Value: Rare)】

【4. The War Alliance is tracking the flagship cities of the Three Major Human Organizations, awaiting the chance to initiate a decisive battle. (Intelligence Value: Exceptional)】

【5. The top leaders of the Apocalypse Sect, Titan Throne, and Iron Oath Brotherhood have convened to discuss whether to deploy their respective world-class weapons. (Intelligence Value: Exceptional)】

【6. Refreshing... (Intelligence Value: Epic)】

【7. Refreshing... (Intelligence Value: Epic)】

Li Ye held his breath and stared intently.

This batch of intelligence still contained a wealth of information.

Items 3, 4, and 5 could be considered together. Ever since the Silence Agreement was abolished, the Wasteland’s situation had become extremely tense.

It was likely that each World-class Organization now had one Level 7 Mobile City as its flagship. These cities hid their whereabouts through various means, waiting for the perfect moment to strike.

A world war.

Such was the thought that welled up in Li Ye’s mind.

If nothing unexpected happened, these World-class Organizations on both sides would erupt into full-scale war within a few years.

The thought left him a bit heavy-hearted.

The Human side’s chance of victory was only 39%.

Taking a deep breath to steady himself, he reviewed the remaining two pieces of intelligence.

The Old World human faction in outer space likely belonged to the continent-level organization Western Alliance from the Old World.

They had been colonizing a terrestrial planet known as Vein Star.

After several hundred years, Li Ye had no idea how things had developed there.

Then, he turned to the two remaining epic-level pieces of intelligence.

Three days should be more than enough for one of the epic intel pieces to finish refreshing.

The Tomorrow Alliance could then determine their next move on Guixu Continent based on the information.

Lastly, Li Ye looked at the ordinary-level piece of intelligence.

“The Pope of the Apocalypse Sect picked out a puppy?” He was a bit surprised. “What could that be about?”

In the small courtyard, Adam was, as usual, silently counting the sprouting grass between the stone bricks.

His mind had matured rapidly—he now had the intellect of an adult.

Yet, his body remained that of a small child.

With Adam’s growth capabilities, he could become an adult in just a few days.

But he had chosen to refuse.

While interacting with the researchers of the Apocalypse Sect, he had read their inner thoughts.

This child who had descended into the world not long ago slowly came to realize—

Growing up was a meaningless thing.

“If that’s the case, then let time slow down,” he thought silently.

His body obeyed, remaining in the form of a six- or seven-year-old.

Footsteps approached from the distance. Adam was startled at first, then gently relaxed.

Grandfather had arrived.

Under his watchful gaze, Pope Constantine appeared with a smile, carrying a small cage in his hand.

Inside the cage was a white puppy.

Adam’s eyes immediately lit up with delight.

Children were naturally close to and fond of small animals—even a newly descended god was no exception.

As he happily ran toward Constantine, a realization struck him, and he softly asked:

“Grandfather, why is it locked in a cage?”

Constantine was momentarily stunned by the question.

He knew Adam already had the mind of an adult, and what he meant was—

This small courtyard, too, was a cage for Adam.

“Forgive me, Adam. That was my oversight,” he said apologetically. “I promise you, when the time is right, I’ll take you to see the outside world.”

Saying that, he took the puppy out of the cage and handed it to Adam.

Just as he was about to take the cage, a vision suddenly appeared before Adam’s eyes.

It was another version of himself.

Compared to his current self, this version exuded a solemn majesty and divine presence beyond imagination.

This was his divine persona.

“Don’t be deceived by these humans,” Divine Adam said coldly.

“They gave you this puppy to cultivate your emotions and build your human form—so they can use you more easily for the Human side.”

“They created you solely as a weapon.”

“You are a god, exalted and supreme. You belong to no one but yourself.”

Adam lowered his head slightly.

“Of course I know,” he said quietly. “That’s what makes me so sad.”

Three days later, on the coast of Guixu Continent.

Sky Dream Island activated its magnetic system and lowered the Tomorrow and other Mobile Cities onto the shore.

After completing this series of operations, it once again set off.

On the deck, Li Ye waved to it gently.

“Until we meet again.”
