Chapter 810: Void Water P2
Chapter 810: Void Water P2
Aksai’s voice became calmer as he put forward his conjecture.
"The primary role of the gu insect farm was to serve as a distraction. A cover. That is not to say the farm itself was useless. They really did cultivate gu insects here. But the real reason this place was kept private was because of this pond."
The more he thought about it, the more reasonable it sounded.
After all, 4th Order gu insects were precious, but they were still resources that a Nascent Soul King could slowly gather over time. Why would he hide something like this from the royal faction when it could help him develop the farm further?
After all, the alchemy dolls only handled the bare minimum. The farm would have been in much better condition and produced even greater yields if Spirit farmers had been maintaining it personally.
Aksai slowly crossed his arms before asking,
"Yelia dear... do you think someone like the Gu Poison King was truly capable of keeping Void Water by himself?"
Yelia’s answer came immediately.
"No."
Her tone was certain.
"My lord, to casually use Void Water as a cultivation resource without being harmed by it, one must at least be a cultivator of the 6th Spirit Realm."
Aksai’s expression slowly became serious.
Yelia continued calmly.
"Gu Poison King was merely a 4th Spirit Realm cultivator. Even though he was a whole realm above you, his Mind Palace was not as developed as yours."
She paused briefly before speaking again.
"He most likely used some kind of trick to overcome his 4th Spirit Realm calamity. Because of that, his soul was never fully baptized by the Worldly Laws."
Aksai listened silently.
"As a result," Yelia explained, "his soul remained weaker than it should have been. That means he did not possess the qualifications to approach Void Water safely."
Aksai slowly looked back at the black pond again. Yelia’s next words made his eyes narrow even more.
"If it were him standing in your place right now," she said softly, "he would have already lost consciousness just by looking at his own void reflection inside the Void Water."
Silence filled the platform.
Aksai slowly lowered his gaze toward the black surface once more. He still could not see his reflection. Only endless darkness stared back at him.
Yet strangely enough—
His mind remained calm. No dizziness. No soul pressure. No signs of losing control.
That realization immediately made Aksai thoughtful. If even a Nascent Soul King could not safely approach this thing, why was he completely fine?
Aksai quietly stared at the dark Void Water pond.
At that moment, Yelia suddenly spoke.
"My liege, there are many reasons why you are not being affected as severely as other Spirit cultivators below the 6th Spirit Realm."
Aksai looked toward her silently.
Yelia kept devouring the remaining space of the gu insect farm as she continued.
"Firstly," she continued, "you possess the Myriad World Painting, which is a Divine Artifact."
Her tone remained steady.
"The artifact itself has already made your soul immune to many harmful influences. Not only that, the moment you started making use of its Divine Spark, the foundation of your soul became far stronger than what your cultivation base normally allows."
Aksai listened quietly.
Yelia’s expression slowly became thoughtful.
"Even so," she continued, "you still should have been affected mentally to a certain extent."
She slowly pointed toward her own head.
"After all, soul and mind may be connected, but they are not exactly the same thing. They are two sides of the same coin."
Aksai’s eyes narrowed slightly.
"That means..." he muttered softly.
Yelia nodded slowly.
"Yes. The fact that your thoughts remain clear means your second uniqueness must also be helping you."
Aksai immediately understood what she meant.
"My Aether Cultivation..."
Yelia nodded again.
"It seems your Aether Cultivation path is protecting your mind to a great extent."
Her gaze slowly shifted toward Aksai.
"Perhaps the mysterious influence of the Void Water is being carried by your Aether Beasts inside your Mind Palace instead."
Aksai immediately raised his eyebrows in realization. Without wasting time, he quickly closed his eyes. His consciousness sank inward.
Soon, he appeared inside his Mind Palace.
The vast inner world looked calm as usual. Faint Aether Essence drifted everywhere like mist.
Then Aksai looked toward Verdant Elder first. The giant tortoise-type Aether Beast rested quietly near the center of the Mind Palace. However, something was clearly wrong.
Verdant Elder looked confused. Its ethereal eyes lacked focus slightly. Its movements were slower than usual as if it were distracted by something invisible.
The giant tortoise occasionally tilted its head subtly while staring blankly into space. It looked absentminded. Almost dazed.
Aksai’s expression immediately became serious. Then his gaze shifted elsewhere.
Toward Seralyth.
The sleeping snake-type Aether Beast remained curled deep inside the Mind Palace. Her massive ethereal body stayed motionless as faint green light drifted around her.
Seralyth was originally a Dao Beast in her previous life.
However, because of her injuries and Aksai’s current Aether Cultivation level, she remained trapped in an almost permanent sleeping state.
Aksai still could not properly use her power yet. But through their connection, he could still feel her condition clearly.
And right now—
Seralyth looked disturbed.
Even in her deep slumber, her body twitched faintly from time to time. Her sleeping expression looked unstable as if she were trapped inside a nightmare.
Aksai immediately understood. The burden really was being redirected.
The strange influence from the Void Water that should have affected his mind directly was instead being shared among his Aether Beasts through the Aether Cultivation path.
After silently observing them for a few moments, Aksai slowly withdrew his consciousness from the Mind Palace.
His eyes opened again. The dark pond remained in front of him. Aksai quietly stared at it before muttering softly,
"So there are some benefits of having a multi-path cultivation."
A faint smile appeared on his face.
"I... I never knew my Aether Cultivation path could be used this way."
