Chapter 776 776: Prince Arven’s Proposal P4
Chapter 776 776: Prince Arven’s Proposal P4
Prince Arven's voice remained calm as he spoke further.
"The pseudo Lords use human or beast cultivator's Spirit Core to cast 3rd Order Spirit Spells. However, the compatibility issues arise after the implantation.
"The vessel bloodline users on the other hand don't have compatibility issues if the Spirit Core is chosen right. The cultivator's body accepts the Core as its own."
He leaned back again, looking satisfied.
"No rejection. No instability. No false power."
He looked directly at Aksai and Raaden.
"Only a true Core Formation Lord."
Aksai looked at Prince Arven for a long moment.
His gaze then shifted briefly to the floating Spirit Core before returning to the prince. His face remained calm, but his eyes had turned more serious.
He stayed silent for a few seconds, as if thinking things through carefully.
Finally, he spoke.
"Prince," Aksai said slowly, "what you are proposing is indeed more than any drifting cultivator with no background could ask for."
Prince Arven smiled faintly, as if he had expected such a response. But Aksai did not stop there. He tilted his head slightly and spoke in a more serious voice.
"But don't you think you are forgetting something?" he added.
Prince Arven raised his eyebrows.
"Hmm? And what would that be?" he asked.
Aksai did not hesitate.
"It's the risk factor," he said.
The smile on Prince Arven's face faded just a little. Aksai continued, his tone steady.
"The risk of joining this new royal faction."
Prince Arven was about to speak at this point. But for some reason, he stopped himself and decided to listen to what Aksai had to say. The latter didn't waste time.
"I assume you have been preparing for decades to reach this point," Aksai said. "You must have gathered a good number of wandering cultivators and young talents."
Prince Arven did not interrupt.
"I am also guessing," Aksai went on, "that you already have a few Lords on your side using this beast core and bloodline fusion method."
He paused for a moment.
"But do you have enough of them?"
Raaden glanced between the two, his expression tense. Aksai's voice remained calm, but his words carried weight.
"Enough to face the combined strength of both the righteous and demonic factions?"
Prince Arven's eyes narrowed slightly. Aksai leaned forward just a little.
"Even with all your preparations," he said, "you and I both know that you are still far from being able to take on even the Big Five Sects head-on."
He let that sink in before continuing.
"And that's just one side. You are not just trying to replace one sect," Aksai said. "You are trying to destroy the entire sect system."
Raaden swallowed lightly.
"That means both the righteous and demonic factions will become your enemies," Aksai added. "All of them."
The room felt heavier with each word.
"And once you come out in the open," he said, "they will forget their differences and focus on a single target."
He looked straight at Prince Arven.
"You."
He paused for a brief moment.
"And by 'you'…" Aksai continued, his tone slightly colder now, "I mean people like us."
Raaden stiffened slightly.
"Foot soldiers," Aksai said plainly. "Cannon fodder."
His eyes did not leave Prince Arven.
"Those who join your side will be the first to die."
Silence filled the hall. Even the soft sounds from outside seemed to fade away. Aksai leaned back slightly, his expression still calm but firm.
"I am not saying your plan is impossible," he added. "But the risk is not small."
He held Prince Arven's gaze.
"It is enormous."
Aksai let out a soft sigh.
He looked at Prince Arven with steady eyes before speaking again.
"And it is safe to assume," he said, "that the Big Five must have already started preparing against you. There have been too many assassination attempts on the five Lords recently," he continued. "You have already drawn their attention."
He paused for a moment.
"I don't understand why you decided to act against the Lords if your preparations are not complete," Aksai added. "What did you gain by tipping off your enemies?"
The question hung in the air.
Raaden glanced at Prince Arven, then back at Aksai. He had subconsciously accepted Aksai to be his leader in this conversation. After all, unlike Aksai, Raaden was truly only a drifting cultivator. He didn't have the confidence to play such high-stakes games like Aksai.
Lurina stayed quiet, watching both sides.
Prince Arven did not answer right away. Instead, he looked at Aksai for a long time. His gaze had changed. There was no longer just curiosity in his eyes. There was evaluation.
He was seeing Aksai in a new light.
He had already heard from Lurina that Naran was quick-witted during their hunt in the Duya Forest. But this… this was something more.
Not just skill in battle. But foresight. Understanding. The kind that was rare.
After a few moments, Prince Arven smiled. The smile this time was deeper.
He leaned back in his seat in a relaxed manner. With a simple wave of his hand, the floating Spirit Core returned to its container. The container then disappeared into his storage ring.
"Expert Naran," he said calmly, "I think you have misunderstood our plan."
Aksai remained silent, listening.
"Why would we try to take on the Big Five sects head-on," Prince Arven continued, "when we can work right under their noses?"
His tone was steady.
"The conflict between the Kaan Kingdom and the Eastern Limiya Gate will not explode so easily either," he added. "We know when to advance… and when to retreat."
Prince Arven leaned forward just a little as he spoke further.
"As for the failed assassination attempts," he said with a faint chuckle, "yes… it is unfortunate that we have not managed to kill any of the five Lords yet."
He shrugged lightly.
"But so what?"
Aksai's eyes narrowed slightly.
"Even failed attempts can be useful," Prince Arven said and smiled.
"As long as one plans for it."
