Chapter 296. Gathering Allies - 1

Chapter 296. Gathering Allies - 1

Andrea was going about her daily affairs in her private office above the clouds. In her hands was a letter of invitation for the founder’s day of the Holy Sun Empire that was going to be held tommorow. There was also a clear message at the end about the renaming of the empire.

The name holy sun empire was about to be changed to Luminous Empire.

Andrea sighed, she had never attended the founders’ day, yet she received the invitation every year as if the pope was trying to mock her.

She remembered always voting against the resolution of renaming the empire, the name holy sun was the last attempt from her side to preserve the identity of the land that had worshipped the sun for several millennia before she was even born.

She sighed and threw the letter into the trash bin sitting by the corner of the room.

Just then, her divine sense detected an intrusion into her private space.

She quickly appeared at the location where she had sensed the intruder. She saw an old man in front of her. For a moment, her eyes squinted as if her senses were deceiving her mind.

But the silhouette of Elion did not fade, even after she repeatedly rubbed her eyes. A few moments passed, and she slowly came to the realization that it was not Demon Lord Bellial attacking again with illusions, nor was it the illusion of the Elven Queen—it was reality.

One of her hands rose to cover the gasp she let out upon seeing the Patriarch of the Moon Clan, Elion Luneia, standing before her with a serious expression and a weak, aged physique.

"How are you, little Andrea?" the Patriarch of the Moon Clan spoke with a mature smile on his face.

Andrea, who was stunned, finally came out of her shock and called him inside.

It did not take her long to ask what had really happened for Winston to let him go.

Old Elion did not leave out a single detail. He had been entrusted with a crucial part of the plan.

"Tamasya and William have now infiltrated the Holy Sun Empire," Elion said after recounting everything that had happened so far.

Andrea’s eyes shifted frantically as she thought about what to do next.

"You don’t need to worry!" Elion said. "Tamasya has received a message from someone called the Eternal Sovereign."

Andrea’s eyes widened in shock. She had been thinking about how to mobilize the celestial army to assist Tamasya, but in the midst of her panic, Elion’s words cut through her thoughts.

"What did the Eternal Sovereign say?" Andrea asked.

Elion spoke, placing weight on every word. "This Eternal Sovereign and his organization intend to overthrow Winston’s rule."

Elion’s words echoed in Andrea’s ears, and a shocked expression spread across her face.

Her hands trembled. Was it time? Was defying the authority of the council even possible? Her thoughts raced, weighing everything—the current situation, what might happen next, and the consequences of the Eternal Sovereign’s involvement. But suddenly, Elion’s words broke her train of thought like a lash across her mind.

"In his message, the Eternal Sovereign said that this is the one and only chance his organization will act to defy the will of the Light God Lux. He has called for everyone who wants a new sun to rise to step forward and join this mission."

"Specifically, you, Andrea!" Elion added, catching her off guard.

Why her? What did the Eternal Sovereign mean?

Before she could ask, a portal suddenly opened in front of her—something that widened her eyes. The only being capable of invading the space controlled by her just to deliver a message was the mysterious Eternal Sovereign.

She saw the familiar golden butterfly, dancing in the air and leaving shimmering particles behind. It floated toward her and rested on her palm before vanishing like dust, leaving behind a small scroll.

To the Crystal Dragon, Keeper of the World Academy,

The remaining consequences of your failure have not faded into silence.

The fall of Demon Lord Bellial is still hanging in fate,

Those you once deemed guardians of Aris betrayed you, hoarding truth like Rodents hoard dirt for winters,

They are but hollow sentinels, wretches draped in righteousness,

binding the flow of fate to preserve their fragile thrones.

Yet you... are not of their kind. Your soul remains untainted by greed for control.

a blade that longs to sever injustice, a will that wants to question the imposed order.

But your voice was buried beneath the tides of silence.

Your ambitions are chained by the unseen hands of the primarchs, who weave deceit beneath the guise of balance.

Still... the eternal will does not forgive, the Eternal Sovereign upholds the balance from the edge of splitting realms.

He, who stands beyond the currents of fate, the one who walks the path of the unknown

He has judged you worthy of walking under his shadow.

Hear this decree, O dragon of crystals:

As the age of peace draws to its end.

The realm will fracture, and the gods will descend from their lofty thrones,

While demons shall claw their way from the underworld.

When chaos devours reason, when order collapses into ruin,

only one truth shall remain—

The Order of the Eternal Sovereign.

He awaits your answer.

When the next dawn arrives,

Stand within the place of celebration and watch hell descend upon those who carry the debt of life.

There... you may save your sisters from the blade of execution.

But should you choose to walk in the footsteps of the sovereign? Bring forth proof of your resolve.

The head of the Fourth Cardinal of the Light Church, Justin Hidor,

The one who resides within the Abyss, the one who preaches light but reeks of demons.

Offer it to the sun of that fateful day when the echoes of the past that Lux had tried to suppress rise again.

Choose wisely, Crystal Dragon -

For fate does not grant a second chance.

Andrea read the letter, and a chill ran down her spine. She shivered with fear. She knew things were beyond saving—it was now a do-or-die situation. She would definitely go to save Tamasya and Anne, but she hesitated when she thought about the offer.

Joining the Eternal Sovereign would be a massive turning point, and her life would change in ways she could not comprehend. She was conflicted. It was now confirmed that the Primarchs were hiding the truth behind the killing of a Demon Lord.

Would she find the answers if she joined the Order of the Eternal Sovereign?

Her puzzled expression lingered for a few moments. Meanwhile, Elion, observing her, sensed that something was off about this Eternal Sovereign.

But he had clearly seen Tamasya receive a similar message, so something was definitely at play. Regardless, he had been entrusted by Tamasya to inform her allies, and he would not hold back. He would do his part—after all, that was the least he could do.

He stood up and said, "I have to go. I need to inform Yue as well."

Andrea nodded and said, "Let me come with you."

"No!" Elion immediately interjected.

"I don’t know much about this Eternal Sovereign, but I do know that Tamasya and Anne are going to need assistance. And I am counting on you. Gather all the allies and friends of Rudra. Go talk to Marcus and Titan Emperor Rominus. Ask them for assistance. Tell them this is the only chance to revive the Solaris Empire!"

Elion spoke with urgency, catching Andrea off guard.

"Reviving the Solaris Empire is impossible now. Rudra is dead, and the entire population has been brainwashed on a civilizational level. They have forgotten the radiance of the Sun bloodline," Andrea said, shaking her head in disappointment.

She felt Elion’s words were nothing but a pipe dream.

"You don’t know," Elion suddenly replied with a hopeful smile.

Andrea looked at him, surprised by the expression he wore despite the situation. Then Elion dropped a revelation that shook her completely.

"William Kaiser is actually the son of Rudra and Anne. The blood of Solaris flows through his veins. He carries the Divine Stellar Fire, and as long as he lives, the revival of the Solaris Empire is not impossible."

With those words, Elion vanished from Andrea’s domain, leaving her standing there, stunned, clutching her head in shock.
