Chapter 275. Good Bye Saint (A debt unpaid - 2)
Chapter 275. Good Bye Saint (A debt unpaid - 2)
"What are you doing here??" Yue looked at Klaus with a curious gaze. A trace of surprise surfaced in her expression, though she concealed it well.
It had been quite some time since she had last seen her younger brother. Their meetings had become increasingly rare over the years, especially after both of them had become occupied with their own responsibilities.
Klaus looked visibly troubled. The usually composed Sword Saint appeared unusually restless, and even his posture reflected unease.
He let out a tired sigh before speaking. "I really need your help, big sis." His tone carried a quiet helplessness that was difficult to miss.
"What is it?" Yue asked without much surprise. As his elder sister, she had often found herself cleaning up after the problems Klaus created.
Even so, this time felt different. She could tell from the sweat on his forehead and the strain in his eyes that he was genuinely in a difficult situation.
Meanwhile, Andrea remained silent and simply observed the exchange. Her calm demeanor did not change, but her attention was fixed entirely on Klaus.
Klaus bit his lip briefly before speaking. "My disciple messed up." The admission seemed difficult for him to make.
"What are you trying to imply, Klaus?? How can your disciple mess up to the extent of making you this tense?" Yue asked. Her brows drew together slightly as she tried to understand the gravity of the matter.
Klaus exhaled slowly, then began explaining the entire situation. He told them about the hidden record, William’s past, and the truth regarding his elder brother. He also revealed what Ethan had done and how the parchment had ended up in William’s hands.
By the time Klaus finished speaking, the atmosphere in the room had noticeably shifted. Both Andrea and Yue wore grim expressions. The weight of the information was not something either of them could dismiss lightly.
"How did you even get your hands on such records??" Yue asked. Her voice remained steady, but the seriousness behind the question was unmistakable.
Klaus shook his head impatiently. "Sis, that is not important right now. You and Sis Andrea were the ones who warned everyone a few months back not to mess with William. Now both of you have to stop him, or he will do something reckless that all of us might regret." His urgency was clear.
Yue and Andrea exchanged a glance. Their expressions revealed a silent understanding between them before they turned back toward Klaus.
"Do not worry. We will handle it. We will talk to him." Yue’s tone was calm and assured, offering the certainty Klaus had come looking for.
Their reassurance eased some of the tension in Klaus’s face, but he still looked unconvinced.
"I believe he will go after Winston’s son very soon. Sis, you need to stop that. He is not strong enough to go against the church."
Klaus’s concern remained evident. He knew a man’s temperament well enough to understand how dangerous things could be after all he had confirmed with Brian, who himself was a bearer of such a grudge.
"William knows that too," Andrea said with complete certainty. Her voice carried a quiet confidence.
"He will not rush into this fight without preparation. He will wait for Tammy to recover her strength. I am certain of it."
"Tammy??" Klaus repeated, clearly startled. His eyes widened in disbelief. "Are you both talking about Sis Tamasya??" he asked, his voice rising in surprise.
"Ahh, I suppose old man Yun Long never told you that Tamasya is back. That is unfortunate. You really should speak to him more often, he is your master for heaven’s sake," Yue said with an amused smile. There was a faint teasing note in her voice.
Klaus gritted his teeth as he thought about his master, the Storm Dragon. Their relationship had always been unconventional, full of taunts, sarcasm, and constant irritation. Genuine communication had never been their strength.
Shaking off the thought, Klaus focused again. "What does William have to do with Sis Tamasya??" he asked, still unable to connect the pieces.
Yue lifted her gaze slightly and studied him for a moment. "I believe you are old enough now to keep your mouth shut. That is why I am telling you this. William is Tammy’s disciple."
"What!!!!" Klaus stared at both of them with complete disbelief. His mind momentarily went blank.
A memory surfaced in his mind without warning. He remembered the first time he had met William. Back then, he had personally offered to take William as his disciple. William had rejected him without hesitation, claiming that he already had a master whose name Klaus was not worthy of hearing.
At the time, Klaus had dismissed it as youthful arrogance.
Now, the memory hit him differently.
It turned out that William had neither been joking nor acting arrogant. He had simply been stating a fact.
"I trust that you are no longer a child who still pisses in his pants. If you fail to keep this a secret, I will personally visit Yun Long and make sure he treats you very well." Yue’s voice remained calm, but the threat beneath it was unmistakable.
Klaus swallowed nervously. "Trust me, I will stay quiet, Sis," he said quickly. The warning was unnecessary; he had a sense of what to keep quiet about.
For a moment, he simply stood there, trying to process everything he had just learned.
Andrea, noticing his dazed expression, finally spoke. "Do not worry. Unless William is certain that he can handle the consequences of going after the church’s saint, he will not act recklessly." Her words carried quiet confidence.
Klaus shook his head. "Sis, this generation is far too reckless. They are nothing like us. Do you remember how some academy students marched all the way south just to save one girl?" His tone reflected genuine concern.
Yue did not agree. "One of them was your disciple!! Klaus, you are overthinking this. Go back and focus on your cultivation. Now that Andrea is out of the council, we need you to start preparing to enter it. You should enter seclusion soon. We need our people in the council if we are to sabotage them effectively." Her tone left little room for argument.
Klaus wanted to protest. He opened his mouth to respond, but Yue gave him no opportunity.
Before he could utter another word, he suddenly found himself floating outside Andrea’s office. The shift happened so abruptly that he barely had time to react.
The moment he realized what had happened, irritation spread across his face. "Will she ever take me seriously?? Ever!!" Klaus shouted toward the clouds in frustration before letting out a defeated sigh.
In the end, he chose not to interfere further. If William made a mistake, Yue would have to deal with it. As far as Klaus was concerned, he had already done what he could.
As for Aurelius, Klaus had no intention of explaining himself. The panic he had shown Ethan earlier about returning the record had been nothing more than a bluff.
In truth, he and Aurelius had been quietly investigating every talented young individual in Riverdale. The goal was to determine who had awakened the divine physique Yue had divined about last year.
While investigating William’s past, they had found nothing extraordinary that suggested a rare bloodline. But by sheer coincidence, they had uncovered the hidden record regarding William’s elder brother.
That day, Aurelius had been occupied with his own stuff and had casually instructed Klaus to burn the record that he had found without paying much heed. The trust between these buddies was immense.
Though later, Klaus had ignored that order out of an idea that he might need that record if he ever needed to in some future scenario.
Now, his refusal had spiraled into a problem much larger than he had anticipated.

Holy Sun Empire...
Central Light Church...
"No... please forgive me, my lord!!" a desperate nun cried while kneeling in front of a young blond man whose smug smile reflected complete arrogance.
The man before her was Winston Junior II, the church’s saint and the son of Pope Winston. His face carried the confidence of someone who had never been denied anything in his life.
In truth, Pope Winston had never married. He had simply chosen a nun of his liking and fathered a son through her; there was no consent involved from the other party’s side.
Yet the world celebrated it as divine grace and called the nun the blessed one. In the eyes of the public, the Pope was considered the earthly voice of the Light God Lux.
His authority was treated as sacred, and his corruption was often debauchery as holiness.
The scene unfolding now was no different.
The saint had chosen his prey for the day, a young and innocent nun who had only recently joined the church.
He had arrived at the church early morning for the weekly rituals, and the moment his eyes landed on this particular newly joined nun, desire had taken hold. For a man like him, desire was reason enough.
The easiest way to justify his actions was simple. He would accuse her of lacking devotion and then force her into submission under the guise of correction.
He had demanded that she recite holy verses in front of him.
She obeyed.
How could she not, when towering knights stood silently behind him like walls of iron?
Now, she was on her knees, begging forgiveness simply because her voice had failed to satisfy his twisted expectations.
What a vile man.
Yet this was the reality of such a rigid and deeply patriarchal institution. Women had no voice. They were often reduced to objects, existing only at the mercy of powerful men.
"Wait, my lord!! Ahh..." she cried, not even realizing when he had lifted her effortlessly like a sack.
"Let me help you improve, I will personally teach you the thirteen holy verses to please Lux," he said with a smirk before carrying her away.
The other nuns watched in pity, while the newer ones stared in horror. Their expressions reflected fear, helplessness, and quiet resignation.
Everyone understood what was happening.
No one intervened.
Winston Junior did not even need to return to his own residence. He had a private chamber within the church reserved specifically for his indulgences.
"My lord, I have taken a vow of celibacy!!! Please stop!!" the nun struggled desperately in his grip. Her voice trembled with fear.
"So you think so little of me?? That I would be taking you with the intention of defiling your honor, don’t misunderstand, your position in the church will be raised if you please my expectations," Winston Junior said with feigned offense, his tone dripping with mockery.
Soon, he entered the secluded chamber and threw the terrified woman onto the bed before removing his robe and tunic without hesitation.
The woman panicked and scrambled toward the farthest corner of the room. Her breathing had become uneven. Her clothes were disheveled, her hair was in complete disarray, and her face was flushed from fear and desperation.
"Hehe, your begging voice is like music to my ears," Winston Junior said lustfully as he discarded the rest of his clothes and began walking toward her with slow, deliberate steps.
For a moment, the nun felt as if her life was over, her honor and her vow would be tainted here.
But then something changed in the environment.
The atmosphere in the room shifted so suddenly that even the frightened nun noticed it.
Meanwhile, Winston Junior, who had already come close enough for his legs to touch her crouched knees, suddenly froze in place.
The room became unnaturally silent.
And then,
thud
The severed head of the saint dropped onto the floor.
It rolled across the room like a loose ball, leaving behind a trail of blood before stopping near the trembling woman, traumatising her.
Before she could react, a strange hand covered her mouth tightly from behind, silencing her completely.
No screams were allowed to leave her mouth; at the end, she fainted from the overwhelming sight.
