Chapter 886 The Last Mission: The Conclusion of Revenge
Day Ninety-Three...
When Jane and her comrades stepped out of the abandoned warehouse, she was surprised to see Nathan standing outside, waiting for her.
At that moment, things had finally sunk in. Vincent's arrival was arranged by Nathan.
Jane's tears suddenly fell into the corner of her eyes as she ran toward Nathan. She pounced on him, hugging him tightly.
"Did you like my surprise?" Nathan asked her, stroking her hair.
Jane buried her face in his chest, hiding her tears from her comrades. She nodded in response.
"Thank you, Nate."
Nathan hugged her back. "This is the best revenge I could think of, rather than killing her. I hope I didn't disappoint you."
Jane shook her head. "I truly appreciate it."
She broke the hug and gazed up, giving him a warm smile.
Tatsumi and the rest of the ladies already went to their respective cars to give them some privacy.
"How did you make Vincent surrender?" Jane asked him with utmost curiosity. He didn't expect that Nathan would be able to handle his half-brother easily.
Nathan shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly. "I just destroyed all the hideouts and headquarters of the King Stallion Mafia. We hunted them down one by one... and my father together with Butler Li, talked to Vincent, convincing him to surrender." Enjoy new adventures at empire
Jane's jaw dropped upon hearing that. She didn't expect that Nathan already made his move against the King Stallion Mafia.
"Why did you do that?" She asked again, her eyes looking at him expectantly.
Nathan raised his eyebrow. "Do I really need to spell it out for you?"
As he stared at Jane, Vincent realized that she was the big factor in why Nathan won against him.
'Without her, I would never defeat him. She will always choose Nathan.'
After talking to them, Vincent turned to leave. He couldn't bear to stay there any longer. He betrayed Monica, his loyal confidant. He felt empty and utterly defeated. But still, he remained alive as Nathan and Jane spared his life because of Old Man Xu's request.
He also realized that he didn't love Monica at all. He was willing to sacrifice her for his own sake.
Jane and Nathan just watched Vincent's retreating back.
"Don't worry about him. I still assigned someone to monitor his every movement," Nathan informed Jane.
"How about Monica? What is your plan after this?" Jane asked him.
"It depends on you. I will let you decide. But I don't think it's the best time to kill her. Why don't let her suffer first for what happened to her today? We can keep her alive and put her in a mental facility. Let her live her days with this nightmare." Nathan suggested.
Jane shivered at that thought. "Damn. I'm glad you are not my enemy anymore. You can be so ruthless." She giggled as she teased him.
Nathan just pinched her nose. "You were bolder enough to cling to me even though I was dying to kill and torture you at that time."
Jane let out a soft chuckle. "In fact, even if I try to kill myself, you will do everything to keep me alive... so that you will be the one to kill me."
Nathan arched his eyebrow when he heard that. He wasn't aware that he did it once. He kept Jane alive just to make sure to get his revenge with his own hands.
"If you already knew what I'm capable of, then why didn't you run away? Aren't you afraid I could have killed you on the spot that day?" Nathan asked her with intrigue.
Jane giggled once more. "If I had no idea that you are Sizzling August, then I would have committed suicide, instead of allowing you to capture me."
"But that day... since I knew who you are... and what you are to me... I took a gamble, hoping you won't kill me on the spot. Besides, I'm confident that I can use my beauty trap." Jane winked at Nathan teasingly.
Nathan could only smile while shaking his head helplessly. 'Oh, that's what she called Beauty Trap– attacking her enemy with a kiss.'
