23; He is a good guy
Regina stamped her feet on the floor a number of times as she watched Patrick zoomed off. She can understand his grief and how disappointed he felt when Jasmine lost the pregnancy. It's really not easy and she won't take it out on him at all.
She's only unhappy that she couldn't get the chance to tell Jasmine not to tell Patrick what the doctor said just before he came back. He mustn't know that she might have difficulty conceiving again. She has never expected such calamity to befall her.
How is she going to get her penthouse now?
That child in Jasmine belly was going to be her winning ticket. She'd boasted too much about owning a penthouse soon, now people might start mocking her if things didn't get into place early enough so Jasmine can get pregnant.
As Regina arrived home, James was waiting for her to scold her about the report that was brought before him. As she got in, she sank into the sofa and was quiet.
Not interested in his wife's current mood, James bellowed “I heard that you were in a fight with Alice Torello your friend and even scratched her face” he stated, this isn't a question, it's a statement.
“So, what about that?” Regina snapped at him. What's the big deal if she taught that barren widow a lesson? Some people need a brain resetting slap and beating for them to act accordingly.
“How could you do that to a woman who has been friends with you for many years? I am highly disappointed by your actions” James reprimanded.
“Oh please, spare me that nonsense. She is not my friend. Whoever doesn't rejoice with me at my progress in life cannot be my friend. And to think that she cannot hide her envy and jealousy, she called me a cat” Regina Logan defended.
“You think what happened to her son was right? Our daughter cheated him too much and hurt him too badly. If Andre was your son, would you have been happy that a woman did that to him?” James demanded.
He was unhappy that Jasmine left Andre after sacrificing so much for her and her parents. But what can he do, his daughter was pregnant and Patrick is the father of the unborn baby. As much as he hates to see Andre lose, he couldn't accept his daughter having an illegitimate child.
Besides, Patrick was well to do. He promised to compensate Andre for whatever loses his break up with Jasmine might have caused him. But after treating Andre the way he did on the day of their wedding, he knows he wouldn't keep to his promise.
“Unfortunately he is not my son so I don't know how I would have felt” Regina retorted, her anger flaring up and her desire to explain things to James were surging higher within her. How will he welcome her with Alice's talk?
“You should be more concerned about our daughter than what Alice and her son think of themselves. Jasmine lost the pregnancy” Regina blurted.
Oh holy virgin Mary, how will she be able to get her penthouse now?
“What?” James exclaimed.
In the office, Camella was restless. How can she get Andre back, the dude is stubborn. He appears quiet and yet, he is firm in his resolution. She'd instructed the finance department to refund his entire money back into his account with a thirty percent compensation.
Fred Maxwell walked in, and placed a summary of Andre's activities before her. He had to get an analysis of his movements after his break up with Jasmine.
“This is the summary of Andre's activities after his break up with his fiancée. I don't know how long this will go but his daily routine was completely different from this before his separation with Jasmine…” he explained.
Camella picked it up and glanced at it. It's like a routine and the timing was always the same. At 5pm every day, he's at the gym. At 6 am he is jogging on the street of the city and by 7: 30am he's back and ready to go to the office.
On weekends or holidays, he spends his time at the gym and other times, he goes for a walk along the estate path, the same place he saw her and her chauffeurs that day and helped them out. The thought of it sends chills down her spine.
“His ex-fiancee is Jasmine” she asked and Fred Maxwell nodded. Who doesn't know how he loved her when the going was good between them. They all thought she loved him too until they saw her wedding pictures and her husband wasn't Andre Torello.
“Tell me what happened between them?” Camella asked, sitting back into her swivel chair and both of her palm fisted and placed below her chin. She wants to know what separated Andre from his fiancée.
“The only reason that Andre and everyone knows is that he wasn't as wealthy as Patrick, the man Jasmine chose. There was no break up, no fight, no arguments. I just woke up one day and saw his fiancée married to another man with a three months old pregnancy…”
Fred Maxwell went ahead and told Camella how Andre was devastated and went blank for many days. He attempted suicide one day when he went to rescue a car sinking in the snow and he escaped death by a breath…
By the time Fred would finish explaining, Camella was sniffling. She was the one he rescued that day. So he was actually trying to commit suicide and found a convenient reason to do so by exposing himself to a freezing snow of the winter?
Seeing her reddened eyes and tears, Fred was taken aback “Miss Wood, what happened?” He asked, has his words provoked that emotional part in her? If yes, that's what he wants, she should call him back to work.
“I told you before that the one he rescued that day was me, right?” She said, explaining how he saved her and her chauffeur from the snow and how he didn't pay attention to himself at all. And from what he said it was around the time he suffered the heartbreak.
“He is a good guy, but loved the wrong woman” Fred Maxwell chipped in. They aren't friends in real words, but they get along so well and he is a great guy.
“Dad and I went to ask Andre to return but he refused. But we want him back, the company needs him and I need you to help me get this done. Promise me that you will join and support me in this adventure of getting Andre back” Camella requested.
“You could guess what my answer would be, right?” He replied.
