The Alpha's Toy

CHAPTER FIFTY-THREE

CHAPTER FIFTY-THREE

Diana’s POV

I couldn't believe it, I didn't want to believe it. My Angelo was gone. That cocky smile of his would never see the light of day again. His laughter would not be heard ever again. All the memories I had of him came crashing down only to pile on top of the madness growing in the pits of my soul turning black.

"Oh honey," The entity said now inside my head, her alluring voice ringing in my ears. Her voice was the only one I could hear as Benjamin tried to talk to me in the distance. "I did warn you that I was going to take your toy boys."

A surge of black magic rose inside like a tsunami wave as my light and moon were taken away, the cold dark water that was black magic could no longer be held back at bay. It clashed inside me trying to find a way out. My feelings were completely numbed as well as my whole body. I didn’t try to hold it back anymore as my power exploded in a bust of a black flash caused by pure agony.

It caused terrible pain but I welcomed any feeling besides the cold numbness that my body was currently in. My body trembled but not out of fear, it trembled because my body was radiating death gust of waves searching for life to consume.

Benjamin was no exception to this as it struck him head-on. He collapsed to the floor next to Angelo with a thud. I hoped that would stop me in my tracks and possibly pull me back to normal but it was still in motion. I could feel myself grow stronger as my power hungrily feed on the souls closest to us.

“Please stop!” I yelled out desperately but it was of no use.

“Diana!” My father’s voice rang inside my head through the pack bond. “Our people are dying! What is going on?!”

A hiccup escaped my lips as tears cascaded down my cheeks. “I’m sorry.”

I wanted to stop my magic flowing out of me but I no longer had control. I was helpless like always and there was no stopping it. There was a reason I was always left out of the fights. I could never make things better, only worse.

“You have always been special to me, not just because of this power but because you manage to make me smile through the pain. It was you that healed our pack from the loss of James and it’s only you that can heal us now.” My father said choking up with emotions. “I love you no matter what you’ve done.”

With his words came feelings of sadness, sorrow and unconditional love. It sparked up the last bits of humanity left inside me that knew it was wrong to just sit here and let this happen. My anger was turned towards the person who caused all of this.

Myself.

I could use this entity just like she was using me. I dug around my clouded memory until I found the spell that Benjamin had taught me earlier.

Aperi.

Calmness pushed back the darkness for a bit but it was all I needed to put up my walls against the entity, caging her. She no longer could disrupt my thoughts and use me for her benefit. I turned my black magic on her sucking her power to heal those I hurt. Her raspy voice yelled inside my head painfully as it weakened her.

With quick thinking I ran to Angelo and Benjamin as her power gushed out of my hands, transferring into their bodies. Although my light with Angelo was gone and all that I was left with was darkness yet it still gave them life. It was meant to take life away but when life was already gone it filled up inside of them like a vessel restarting their hearts back up and pulling them away from the hands of death.

Shocked, I watched them come back alive with a part of me now living inside of them. They would never be the same again. Hell, I will never be either since this was all very traumatic.

We all shared my life force as one but I’ll take what I get. I watched as they gasped out for air as they came back to their senses. Both looked pale as their bodies were still working to give them back the warmth of life.

My heart was beating against my chest in joy as Angelo brought me into his shaky arms. I didn’t want to question what just happened right now. I was just glad they were both alive.

“Okay, that time I really did see my life flash before my eyes,” Angelo muttered with a raspy voice against my ear. It looked he went to hell and back with bluish lips and dull grey eyes. What he said made me laugh, lifting some bad energy off my cold heart and putting back inside my locked box. I could slowly feel my body heat up in his arms as a rush of tingles awakened my senses. “I’m so happy to have you back in my arms.”

“How are we alive? I didn’t get to-” Benjamin started to say before looking down at his chest and letting his words fall short. There was marking that only black magic could create on his chest. “You gave us some of your black magic. We are now ultimately tied to each other because of this.”

"I took some her power to do that," I muttered taking note that Angelo had the same mark. It was an ancient witchcraft symbol swirled on the edges.

“God, I’m so tired of this black magic,” Angelo groaned burying his face into the side of my head. “Fucked me up for life.”

“You no longer just share a unique bond with Angelo,” Benjamin said making Angelo’s head pop back up in surprise. “But you have tied yourself to both of us magically.”

Sighing I realized I was back to where we started, only a little worse. I would not be able to get rid of Benjamin now and it was for certain now that he was connected to me. Before all of this, it was just all a lie he was making me believe. I don’t know if I came out on top of this one but it didn't feel like I did. Overall, I had two guys fighting me for me yet again while dealing with an out of control entity inside of me at the same time.

Looking at them slowly recover from all the stuff we went through today I realized I wasn’t too upset by this. I’ll rather have them in my crazy life than not at all. I was going to cherish every last minute. I knew this was not even close from being over but thankfully the entity inside of me was under control for now. We needed to prepare ourselves for when she finally became hungry for more power. In the meantime, I was going to go back home like this whole experience didn’t change my outlook on life. My brother was still missing and my parents didn’t have the chance to tell him that he was loved the way he was. It tore at my heartstrings but it fueled me to search for clues now more than ever before.

“Let’s go home,” Angelo said glancing at Benjamin who was still in shock of it all. “Is he coming with us?”

Benjamin looked at us with big innocent blue eyes as we eyed him up. We have experienced a lot fighting alongside each other that it was hard to not take that into account. I judged him at the bad guy when he attacked Angelo even though he was clearly holding the gem so it was her doing. I simply nodded in response before helping them stand back up slowly.

We got mind fucked by black magic and survived to live another day. Now that I have her inside me, what does she want from me?
