My Mate Has Two Wolves

Chapter 414

Chapter 414

"Grandma's right, Sunny and Leo are perfect for each other," Catherine agreed quickly.

Sunny's face turned bright red. Why was everyone focusing on her?

Abigail noticed Sunny's other hand hanging still and asked quietly, "Sunny, what's wrong with your hand?"

Remembering the video of Sunny fighting the thugs, Catherine explained, "Her hand is injured. Sunny, are you feeling better now?"

Sunny nodded. "Much better!"

Patricia was shocked. "How did your hand get hurt? Was it that naughty Leo?"

Sunny shook her head and explained what had happened.

Patricia and Abigail listened with concern. Catherine pulled up the video, and after watching it, both Patricia and Abigail's faces showed worry.

"Sunny, I didn't think you had so much courage!"

"Did you practice martial arts when you were young?"

Sunny answered all their questions. The two elders looked at her with new respect.

They couldn't believe such a small and thin person could have such skills. They felt sorry for Leo for a moment.

Not every man has the courage to love a woman with such skills.

Sunny felt embarrassed and her face was hot.

After a short silence, Patricia said, "Sunny, I admire your courage, but you should be gentle with Leo. He was pampered as a child and can't handle your roughness."

Abigail and Catherine couldn't help but laugh at Patricia's worry.

Sunny's face turned even redder as she stammered, "Grandma, rest assured, I won't lay a finger on him. I promise I'll be gentle!"

Patricia finally relaxed. "I know you're a good girl. It would be Leo's good fortune if you two marry."

But Sunny's heart sank. Would it really be a blessing for Leo to marry her?

What if Patricia and Abigail found out about her connection to Olivia? She didn't even want to think about the consequences.

"Has Leo talked to you about marriage?" Patricia was getting more and more excited.

Sunny's expression froze for a moment before she replied shyly, "We're not ready for that yet."

"You two should settle things quickly since you like each other. Have children while you're young. I want to see your kids before I pass away," Patricia said, like all elders worried about carrying on the family line.

Sunny was completely flustered. She couldn't even think about such a big step.

Abigail seemed to sense Sunny's embarrassment and gently said, "Mom, don't push them so hard. Let them decide for themselves."

Catherine nodded in agreement. "Yes, Grandma, marriage is their decision to make."

Sunny gratefully looked at them. If Patricia kept asking, she wouldn't know what to say.

Just then, Sunny's phone rang.

Looking at the caller ID, she stood up and said, "It's my mom calling. I'll take it outside!"

She quickly walked out and answered the phone.

Moira's voice came through, "Sunny, why haven't you come home yet?"

"Mom, I'm not coming back this year," Sunny said softly.

"Why not? Are you still nursing your wounds? You're young, don't dwell on a failed relationship. Come back, your stepfather wants to introduce you to some boyfriends. Before you know it, you'll be over this," Moira persuaded gently.

Moira's words made Sunny uncomfortable. Although her mother thought her stepfather's matchmaking was for her own good, Sunny really disliked it.

Every man she'd met was a rich second generation with a vulgar air.

They'd brag about their cars and watches, hint at how rich they were, and after just one meal, invite her to a bar, or talk about traveling abroad on a luxury cruise, or giving her designer bags and top - shelf cosmetics.

None of them left a good impression. They all just wanted to play with her, not serious.

After meeting them once, Sunny would hide and avoid them.

Some wouldn't give up and came to her school, ruining her reputation. Almost everyone thought she was promiscuous.

Later, when her stepfather tried to introduce more boyfriends, she refused firmly.

Only then did things calm down.

But with her ruined reputation, she spent her entire university life with wealthy male classmates looking at her with ill - intent and whistling at her.

"Mom, I don't need him to introduce me to more boyfriends. Tell him to stop worrying about it!" Sunny's voice turned cold as she refused harshly.
