76 Dalia Loses Her Cool pov

After Kelp mind linked his mate and filled her in on what was going on, Dalia barged into Mark’s office, coming to a halt in front of her brother. He looks down at her with that don’t give me crap look he has. Putting her hands on her hips, she cocks her right hip out a bit, looking Nathan up and down with disgust on her face. “I do not know what the hell is wrong with you brother, but I am ashamed of you. Mama and dad would be too if they were here.”

Nathan growls at his sister with contempt, causing Kelp to step to her side. Kane is now holding Kelp still and linking him to let this play out. Kelp looked at his sweet mate who was obviously headed to training according to the sports bra, leggings and pulled up hair. Kelp swallows, feeling his nether regions harden as he takes in Dalia's beautiful body and all. Right now, the anger she is showing makes her gorgeous. His mate's voice brings him back from where his thoughts wanted to take him, and Kelp begins to worry a little bit at the fact his mate is not backing down.

Dalia takes a step even closer to her brother and is almost toe to toe with him. “What is wrong with you? What you did to Katia was disgusting and exactly what she feared happening. I am trying to give you the benefit of the doubt, but I have a mate bond also. I do not see Kelp ever trying to rape me to control me.” Her chest is heaving up and down with the anger she feels.

Nathan just snarls, “Mind your own business little sister.” Putting the emphasis on little, knowing she would be insulted by it.

Dalia doesn’t act as if she heard him as she continues while poking Nathan in the chest, “Then you insult Selene and treat her like one of your pack members! Are you stupid? Has your brain turned to mush or something? You have always been the protector and would never have done something like that in the past.”

Nathan snarled once more, “I told you to mind your own business.” He then picked her up and moved her out of his way, intending to leave the room. Walking toward the door, he is paying no attention to the faces and yells around him.

Dalia screams, “What the eff! You douche I’m gonna….” She never finishes the sentence because she shifts and is on Nathan’s back before anyone registers what is happening. The room erupts into chaos with the others rushing to pull Elixa, Dalia’s wolf, off Nathan. Nathan has shifted into Kalen and the brother and sister wolves are tearing at one another. Kane halts everyone from getting in the middle by saying, “Let them fight it out. Dalia is an Alpha wolf also. She can hold her own. I have witnessed these two fight each other before.”

In the background, the teeth snapping and growling sound as if they are going to kill one another. Kalen and Elixa are locked together with each other’s jaw wrapped around one of the other’s legs. The hobbling and rolling as they go through the door leaving a trail of blood. They stay locked like that until they hit the top of the stairs. Kalen let’s go, surprising Elixa at his willingness to break the hold, and he bounds down the stairs. At the bottom, he keeps going out the front door. Elixa is right behind him and when they hit the front yard, they are right back to tearing at one another.

Kane stands off to the side watching as one of the wolves' fur goes flying by him in a chunk. There is quite a bit more blood on the ground and Kalen looks to have deep puncture wounds in his neck.

Selene returns after hearing the commotion and joins Kane, “So his sister is showing him how much of an ass he has been?”

Kane folded his arms across his chest while agreeing, “It looks like it. I am a little worried though, I think Dalia is truly pissed and out for his blood.”

Selene clicked her tongue against her teeth and responded, “Serves him right.” Inspecting her fingernails she stated, “Katia has been through enough, and he is going to understand that the behavior he exhibited that day will never be tolerated again by anyone.”

Glancing at his cousin, Kane timidly asks, “What has gotten into him, Selene? He has never disrespected anyone the way he did his Luna and everyone else lately.”

“As far as I can figure, his mating with Katia has awakened the blood of Zeus in him, and he is having trouble understanding and controlling what is happening.” Selene offered as an explanation.

“Gods, Selene, why don’t you just explain to Nathan what is going on? Help him to deal with it. We need him in his right head to get Katia back and for whatever this war is you spoke of.” Kane huffed.

Selene just chirped, “Because this is more fun.” Once again, she just walked away, leaving Kane there staring after her.

Turning back to the two wolves still going at it, Kane sees that both are bleeding and limping around one another, but neither is willing to give in. Kelp is being held back by Mark and Eric. Kane walks to the other men and quietly tells Kelp, “She is fine. I can feel her anger still. Dalia is not ready to reign Elixa in.”

As Kane finishes his sentence, there is a loud pitched yelp and then all the snarling and snapping ends. Readying himself to pull Nathan off his sister and get the two patched up like any other time they have fought, he is surprised to see Dalia’s wolf standing over Nathan’s wolf holding him down by the neck. Kalen, Nathan’s wolf, is lying quietly under her locked jaws around his neck. Walking to them, Kane looks at the other men beside him and informs them, “Well, this is a situation I have never dealt with before between these two.”

As they approached the two Alpha wolves slowly, Kelp inquired, “What do you mean?”

Kane walked slowly around the two wolves, noticing that Elixa was not easing the pressure of her bite around her brother’s neck. Her eyes were deep black, and her lungs were heaving in anger still. Finally, he stated, “It was always Nathan that won and would immediately release his sister when they fought in anger. This is the first time I have seen Dalia and Elixa in a rage like this, and she is not backing away.”

Kelp slowly moved toward his mate while calmly speaking to her, “Sweetheart, you showed him that he was in the wrong. You can let your brother go now. He will not behave like that anymore.” Elixa bared her teeth at her mate, warning him to stay back. Keeping her teeth locked around her brother’s wolf's neck, she laid on top of him.

“What is she doing?” One of the pack members asked curiously.

Another guessed, “She’s waiting for something from the Alpha.”

The group had grown, and all were chattering about the fight and what may have caused it between the brother and sister. The different opinion of what caused the fight was driving Elixa’s anger even more. She could hear the reasons thrown around. Although most of them were joking about Nathan not letting his sister by a new pair of shoes or some other frivolous thing, she did not understand the pack members were just having fun.”

A woman shouted, “What matters the reason? Our Alpha made his sister mad enough to stand up to him and show him he was wrong. She did it without help from anyone else. Even though she is lying on top of him bleeding as profusely as he is, she is still standing her ground.”

Elixa heard what the woman said and sneered to Kalen through their link, “Do you hear that brother? Even pack members understood what I had to do. You need to stop acting like an ass. You need to get yourself together and work with everyone else to get your mate off that island. YOU NEED TO APOLOGIZE!”

Kalen, along with Nathan, who heard every word Elixa said, continued lying under his sister's silky brown wolf panting. He had never seen Dalia and Elixa so angry. The pure rage swirling in her black eyes was not calming down. How do they fix all of this? His sister was right. He was acting like an ass. He was scum for what he did to Katia and how he had been treating everyone. He deserved what Selene did to him.

Nathan advised his wolf, “Kalen, apologize to her. We have been so wrong. Calm her down. Dalia is letting Elixa continue to keep control because I hurt her, Katia, Selene, and the pack. She is not going to back down.”

Kalen growled back at him, “I just wanted to protect my mate.”

“I know buddy, but we did it in the wrong way. You hurt Elixa too.” Nathan explained.

“How?” Kalen snapped back.

“Treating them like they did not matter and had no opinion. She was defending all the pack members and calling us out on our shit. We disrespected her, and she is an Alpha wolf too.” Nathan further explained to his wolf.

Kalen sighs, “I forget that baby sister is not a pup anymore and that she has Alpha blood also.” He then opens the mind link to his sister wolf wearily saying, “Elixa, I am sorry for disrespecting you and Dalia in front of everyone. I am sorry for what I have done to hurt others also.” As Kalen is speaking to his sister, he had given control back to Nathan, and they shift just as he finishes his apology.

Nathan is now lying naked holding a sobbing, but just as naked Dalia. Elixa returned control as soon as Kalen said he was sorry. Someone threw a blanket around them as he sat rocking his sister and rubbing her back as she cried. They had not been like this since the days after their parents died and all he could do was hold and rock her. Nathan kept repeating, “I’m sorry, Dal. I am so damn sorry.” Kissing her head, he continued rocking and stoking her back, letting her cry for as long as she needed.

No one dared to bother brother and sister. They just stood waiting until Nathan motioned Kelp forward and handed him his sleeping mate. “Let me know when she wakes. I want to talk to my sister.” Nathan instructed.

Nodding, Kelp turned and carried his mate to their room. Nathan looked at the others and ordered them, “Check on the four witches' progress and meet me in the dining room of the Snow Moon packhouse. We will be dining inside tonight, just ranking wolves from both packs. I want to be near my sister.”

Everyone was turning to leave when Nathan added, “Mark, could you ask Selene to attend also?” Mark nodded and Nathan went to get cleaned up.
