127 The Proposal pov

Once again everyone was seated around the huge tables that surrounded the fire pit. It was something that had become part of the daily meals; very seldom did they eat inside. If the weather was bad, then the portable walls were erected so they could still all eat together. Wolves from three different packs have begun blending themselves together into one gigantic pack, and they did not realize what they were doing. Working together and being there for one another was part of pack life. It was as natural as breathing, and the packs were only as strong as the weakest member. So they all band together to make each member of the pack strong. The eyes staring and watching them from the forest were in awe of the two halves of the moon and what they were accomplishing without realization.

Hades watched as his heir sat amongst the wolves, gods, and other supes like the prince he was. He did not understand his son's unwavering love for the two moon halves but had learned not to question it. Those two girls kept his son from going completely evil like him. Hades did not care to interact with the group of goody-goodies that was his supposed family. Hades knew something big was going to happen, he needed to find out what and who would be involved. He could feel magic building everywhere he went. This was not the magic of Uranus; no Hades believed that Uranus was no longer there and would not cause trouble ever again. This magic was ancient. It felt as if it had been waiting for something or someone to come along and awaken it. Now that something or someone has arrived and the ancient is awakening. Hades decided he would keep watch from the forest for a few days and discover what this magic was all about. He hid amongst the shadows of the tall trees and listened to the wolves celebrate and argue over who had one of the games of tag the alphas had played with children today. Hades smiled at the surprised looks the male wolves had worn when the team of young wolves had started making them disappear and reappear this afternoon. He was willling to admit that these wolves all of his family seemed to love so much were entertaining.

At the tables, the ranking wolves laughed over the antics of some of the children. While some had finished eating and were waiting for the others to finish, they stated that they were acting out their favorite part of the game. Zeus and his godly cohorts sat in their places, watching the reenactment. They laughed at how the older boys portrayed the alphas and how they reacted to the unusual game of tag. Once everyone had finished their dinner, some of the wolves cleared the dishes so those working in the kitchen would not be stuck in there all night and could join the fun. A curtain had been hung up to hide another table, and Alpha Nathan walked to the curtain and shoved it open. The children let out collective oohs and aahs when they saw the table was full of every flavor of ice cream you could think of. In the middle of the table was a fountain that rained down chocolate on one side and white chocolate on the other. The two chocolates swirled together at the bottom of the fountain. There was every topping you could think of, including different flavored syrups, sprinkles, and different types of cones or edible bowls, along with cherries, bananas, and strawberries.

Watching the wide-eyed kids get as much ice cream as they wanted and whatever they wanted on it made Hera smile. She approved of these wolves, and her sweet moon goddesses fit right in with them. Hera hoped that the conversation tonight went how it needed to go and that finally, these wolves could move forward with their new lives. Laughing as the children continued getting their dessert, she informed Nathan and his cohort alphas, "You three big bad wolves spoil the children of these packs."

The three men smiled at her, and handsome Lorn quipped, "We would spoil you also, my goddess, if you would allow us."

"I shall be the only one to spoil my Hera," Zeus said, chuckling at his mate's blush. As soon as the children had eaten their fill of dessert, they were sent off to wash up and get ready for bed. After they had gotten ready for bed, they had all decided to gather in the movie theatre room to watch a movie and have a huge sleepover. As usual, some of the adults agreed to chaperone, and the children would be cared for. With the children gone, the adults were chitchatting about everyday things like what to plant next in the gardens and a fence that needed to be repaired before the cows could be put in the pasture. They talked about what had been accomplished in the last week or so and how much more needed done.

Nathan watched the three women sitting with their alpha mates as the others discussed the progress made to help house all of the wolves. He could see a light in her eyes and wondered what they were thinking. The three lunas smiled at each other, and then Dalia clapped her hands, "Attention, please. Our lunas have some things they would like to discuss with everyone."

Nathan nodded his head in approval at the fact that his sister had apparently become beta to the Alpha Luna and the other two Lunas. Their parents would be proud of her. She was a strong, loving she-wolf, just like their mother had been. She was of Alpha blood, but she never abused the power she held within her. All the wolves turned their attention to the Lunas as they stood up and walked in front of the ice cream table. The three stood for a moment as if they were thinking of a way to begin. Finally, with her whispery voice, his quiet mate spoke, "We have been observing all of you working together as one pack the last few days. and would like to propose an idea we have for the packs."

Dalia repeated what her Alpha Luna said a little louder to ensure everyone had heard her. When she was finished repeating the sentence, Katia continued, "We have seen how no matter what needs to be done. All of you pitch in and work together. You do not care what pack you are from or what pack those you are helping are from. You all act like this is one big happy pack, and everyone is happy to be here. So we would like to propose that we combine the three packs and merge together."

There was a hushed gasp and then nothing but quiet. Selene took up the discussion while everyone was listening and mulling over what the Alpha Luna had just proposed. "We do not want to destroy your traditions and history. We want to incorporate those things into one big new pack that will have a purpose."

At that, even the alphas' heads snapped up, and they leaned forward to hear better what their mates were suggesting. Demon came forward and asked, "Luna's, what would this purpose be that you set forth for this new pack?"

The three lunas joined hands and Katia spoke once more. "The purpose of this new pack would be to be a safe haven for all who seek refuge and need help. We want to have an elite team of werewolves that travel the world rescuing those who have been trafficked, kidnapped, sold, abused, tortured, and so on. We will rescue whoever we can. It will not matter if they are werewolves, vampires, demons, angels, or whatever other supernatural out there. We will also rescue humans, especially children."

Mark asked the next question, "Will all we rescue remain with us?"

​It was Talon's turn to address everyone: "No, if the adults have family they feel safe with and want to return, then they will return to their families. We will give them a choice to remember and keep to themselves what they know or allow their memories to be altered." She let that sink in for a few moments and then continued, "As for the children, if we can locate their families, we will alter their memories and return them to their loved ones. If that is not possible, then they will remain with us. As long as they are alive we will take care of them and love them like one of us."

Nathan stood now with the other two alphas, showing they were united in this idea that had been proposed. He spoke loudly to ensure everyone heard him and understood this would be a permanent change if they agreed to this merge. "If we do this, we will not go back to three separate packs. The council will have to be petitioned, and then we will have to wait for them to investigate our packs. This is not something to take lightly. "

​"What would we be called?" Someone sang out.

"We would have to come up with a new name for our new pack. We were thinking that represents us all or something like that." Selene offered. She finished with, " Maybe we could combine the three names of the three now living together."

The crowd of werewolves nodded in agreement, and some started throwing names around. Nathan saw the women smile at one another and was proud of what they wanted to do. Katia was the one to remind the crowd, "There is so much more we have to figure out. We will have to make pack laws to live by. Punishments for those who may break the laws. Who and how will we oversee the pack as alphas and lunas? Because no matter what the six of us will oversee and run this pack together."

Lorn announced that he thought it would be a good idea for everyone to go home for the night and think about the suggestions that had been made. Talk amongst themselves, write down any concerns or ideas, and a vote will be taken tomorrow. Everyone agreed, and they disbursed for the night.
