Set in the far future when humanity has reached the stars and finds it is not the first to do so. Alien technology has been left behind by a long dead race. Ancient cities, abandoned starships, temples and fortified bunkers all contain artefacts and devices far in advance of what humans have been able to produce. Technology that feels more akin to magic, so powerful it can allow a single person to dominate a star system. But these relics of another time have been left well-defended and behind bewildering and impenetrable security measures. There are those who are compatible with the alien technology, who can augment themselves to face the evermore extreme protocols in the depths of the alien ruins, and by doing so attain greater power. And there are those who just want to sell what they find to the highest bidder. The rewards are high, but you have to be prepared to go further and risk more to discover the greatest secrets of a civilisation that vanished long before the first human walked upright. Secrets that could irrevocably change humanity’s future, or end it. Collapse
Futuristic Setting, Dungeons, Multiple POV, Space, Male Protagonist, Monsters, Aliens, Technological Gap, Post-apocalyptic, Artifacts, Artificial Intelligence, Genetic Modifications, Multiple Protagonists
For convenient Reading and not get confused by 3 POV just set 1 char as Focal point. The pov of initial intro of char leaving their home till ch 25 is jumbled but Location of each char is announced at Start of each chapter, so just follow one ch then read other. For FigaroCh 3, 13-17, For Hollet 3.2Ch 2, 8-12, 23-25For UbikCh 1, 4-7, 18-22Only After ch25 the pov start without time skips. It continues the same situation but from other char pov. In Book 1 Ubik is the focal point. He is unpredictable and someone who multitask multiple plans at same time while using as many people and resources available in Unexpected ways. There are 3 MC forming a team of TrioUbik makes unpredictable plans and genius techno wizard with Spoilersuperpower first time mentioned in ch101He live by motto of let others keep guessing your next move while thinking on his feet and intuition.Figaro is special talented gifted genius who creates miracles.Hollet 3.2 is unrivalled genius warrior with both brains and brawn who gets thing done. There is lot of chemistry and humour in their intractions. The POV helps to know and tell what the char are thinking. It helps to make them connect with readers but connect with them one at a time.
It's good really. I liked POVs of main leads, but it became too much after that, its like there is no variation in their character, yes they are growing and changing but it kinda seem slow atleast for me. I like the mystery part and world building was okay. Sometimes the writing is comparable to a book. You can give it a try, if you are looking for something interesting not the regular cultivation novel.
why does it feel like.. it's above my brain's capacity?i don't even understand second chapter
If you look past the frequent change in POVs, the novel is exceptionally good. People complaining about different POVs didn't understand the concept of the novel coz in order to better understand the reasoning behind the MC's decisions POV change is a better choice than just stating the situation and event. You can picture yourself in that situation due to the various POVs and experience the frustration and mayhem created by him I would give it 9.5/10, 0.5 less because of the frustration Ubik makes me go through
Lmaoo, you all are complaining about the multiple POVs, but clearly, you haven't seen the tags where it says, MULTIPLE PROTAGONISTS. There isn't just one protaganist.
I see a lot of people are complaining about the change in PoVs. But I find it interesting. I think it only adds to the story. If having the point of views switch is not your thing for whatever reason, should skip. But if you don't mind it, the story is quite amusing.PS: I think the main character is Ubik because of the chaos he brings. The other two are supporting characters but have their own views to the things that Ubik does :p
What i want in a story that has multiple POV'S , 80% MC , and the rest on the other ch. This ain't it.
Actually it kind of becomes like that later on. But whatever floats yes boat. Plenty of stuff to read. I'm still looking for good slice of life kingdom building stuff.
The multiple pov shift makes this book very much a hassle to read.
Some korean novels with bad translation and multiple povs are hard to read not this
Let try itCan someone send me the book link for "king shura" or the complete pdf download
The intro looks good hope the book is good!!!
