Chapter 1200 - 1198: That’s What You Think
Chapter 1200 - 1198: That’s What You Think
Economic and financial security issues have become new security projects for countries, with Nagariel’s economic system being the main inducement for its transition to the New Federation.
Moreover, with the expansion of the international market, new types of fraud methods are updated daily, coupled with the establishment and collapse of the Silver Federation, people increasingly understand how important a sound economic system is to a country.
Every country is paying attention, and the Federation is no exception; the Security Committee Financial Security Office was born in this context.
Lynch, as the backstage promoter of some major events, was ultimately confirmed and became a senior advisor after layers of approval.
Senior advisors are not like special advisors who can remain inactive when unnecessary; senior advisors need to handle some issues for at least a few days every month.
It is a formal job, though it’s also part-time, but at least formal.
The purpose of appointing Lynch as a senior advisor is essentially to avoid frequently owing favors. If there is something that cannot be resolved, a call to him carries a favor.
It’s better to simply give him a formal job, so those become part of his responsibilities.
Lynch understood Mr. Truman’s idea clearly, and he didn’t refuse.
For him, mastering some secrets in a country’s financial field has benefits, without any drawbacks.
Then Lynch drove away.
The small episode in this press conference became today’s "best," with some TV stations replaying this episode multiple times, each time triggering a surge in viewership.
People just adore Lynch; there’s nothing to be done about it; ratings must compromise.
Some speculate that if Lynch were to star in a movie, even if he acted terribly, it would surely sell at a high price!
Meanwhile, Judith’s father and mother returned home after a long day’s work.
For the civilian class, a company’s senior partner is an absolutely intimidating title, one that sounds like those who live in middle-class communities, where each family member has a middle-class car, living a respectable life.
But for the upper echelons of society, the so-called senior partners are just a group of higher-level employees, still lacking security.
Dividends and bonuses are merely a means of exploitation.
A capitalist might give a partner a ten thousand bonus, but must exploit twenty thousand, or even thirty to fifty thousand profit from them.
Without such profits, the capitalist wouldn’t take that risk.
In fact, sales commission is the lower form of a partner, using company resources to find targets within company channels.
Partners also use company resources but find targets within their own channels.
Essentially, everyone gets dividends; it’s just that the partner’s circle is slightly higher, but ultimately, they’re sales personnel.
The "success" of an ordinary salesperson is selling a product, while a partner’s "success" might involve a whole batch.
Being a partner doesn’t mean you don’t have to work; partners have to work, and more exhaustingly than others. They must continually showcase their value to the board to gain its favor.
Allowing them to spend money, purchase a little company stock, and become shareholders.
This is probably the ultimate goal of all company partners.
To achieve this, they must doubly exploit and oppress themselves.
Returning home, Judith’s father sat on the sofa, removing his tie and flexing his shoulders.
The servant hurriedly brought a glass of wine; the master likes to have a drink upon returning home, unless he has evening engagements.
The mistress did the same, kicking off her high-heeled shoes onto the floor, walking in barefoot, sitting by the sofa, and rubbing her heels.
Today she attended a company meeting, and as the host, she had to display her most perfect side.
Throughout the three-plus hours of meeting, she constantly spoke and expressed herself, standing the entire time without sitting for even a second.
The feeling was awful.
Thankfully, it’s all over now.
"Has Miss Judith returned?" the mistress asked.
The servant nodded—a migrant servant.
Migrant servants are popular in the Federation; they are relatively cheap, at least cheaper than local servants, and they have "greater tolerance."
This doesn’t mean asking them to do things beyond the boundaries between masters and servants but suggests you can scold them.
Federation servants sometimes have a temper, possibly inviting union targeting, as the Federation pursues freedom, respecting everyone and their work!
But migrant servants are different; if they don’t perform well, you can scold them, even a slight physical reprimand is not a big deal.
They desperately need the job, and it’s cheap, meeting varying family demands.
The mistress frowned, "Is dinner ready?"
"Almost ready, ma’am," the servant replied.
The mistress waved her hand to dismiss her, "Do it now, invite the miss down when ready."
They casually turned on the television, and it happened to be news time.
Many dislike watching the news, but the news is crucial; at any time, any world, the news plays an irreplaceable political role.
Politicians need the news to let more people know about policy directions, including the President.
They need people to know, and also need feedback. Ultimately, policy formulation and decision-making belong to a small group, but news is the quickest way for more people to learn what’s happening.
Soon they saw the World Development Committee’s news. The master talked about recent company matters related to the World Development Committee.
"Senior company officials have obtained some directories; they’re quite informative for us."
"What to export, what subsidies to obtain, it’s very clear. Of course, some things are listed as embargoes, but overall, regarding foreign trade, we can become more proactive."
The mistress agreed with his view, "After the afternoon meeting, I discussed with the manager; perhaps by the end of this year to the first half of next year, there will be a wave of entrepreneurial enthusiasm."
"The World Development Committee’s directory offers many visible opportunities; maybe we should try too."
The master was a bit surprised but soon thought seriously.
He specializes in trade and knows that previously, to obtain subsidies and policies, you first need to know they exist.
The Federation Government won’t proactively inform you of what you export or import that aligns with a domestic trade clause and what subsidies are available; they won’t remind you.
You must discover it yourself and apply to receive the corresponding subsidies.
Moreover, some are indicative; only a few can benefit, while most cannot.
Why do big institutions or small institutions profit in international trade, while those in the middle not exactly not profit, just struggle to earn more?
It’s all about policy trends. Small companies don’t care about these, small-sized, quick to pivot; whatever’s profitable, they rush to do it.
Directly collapsing a product, then quickly switching to another product, they seem to always follow the industry’s tail end biting dust, but that dust is flavored, better than starving.
Medium-sized enterprises pivot slowly; if a product is wrongly chosen at first or lacks indicators, a loss might occur before even leaving the country. Pivoting then costs even more.
Large group companies can enjoy policy benefits and can sometimes sell at cost internationally yet profit immensely, leaving medium enterprise profits problematic.
Now it’s different; what can be done, what fiscal subsidies exist, are very apparent, providing more entrepreneurial drive.
As the master pondered over trying entrepreneurship, soon the earlier scene unfolded.
They were dumbstruck as their daughter directly attacked Mr. Lynch, only to have Mr. Lynch calmly defuse it; what should have been a laugh-inducing scene left them drenched in cold sweat.
They exchanged a glance, their scalps tingling before tightening up.
The master was about to stand up when the mistress pressed his shoulder, "I’ll go up and check first..."
After ten minutes, the mistress came down from upstairs, recounting everything that happened, leaving the master somewhat dejected.
Compared to regular households treating children as laborers from a young age, middle-class families prefer to label their children as "Little Prince" and "Little Princess."
They like to let their children have a sense of comparative superiority from a young age—against society’s lower strata.
But precisely this cultivated sense of superiority becomes problematic.
Some people don’t like Lynch; they won’t like him regardless of his actions. Some might consider Lynch a thief, thinking he stole someone’s success, making himself the successful one.
Others still view him as originating from society’s lower tiers, believing no matter his achievements today, he’s still an underclass person.
Some always find many reasons why they’re not the "main character."
Judith was a "star" from a young age, smooth sailing all along until she tried to make big news out of Lynch and encountered the first, and most painful lesson of her life.
And then the same thing happened again.
The mistress felt helpless, and slightly worried afterward, "I’m a bit concerned; she went too far; maybe we should apologize."
The master was a bit confused, "But we can’t even enter the Half Mountain Villa District’s gate; how can we apologize?"
The Half Mountain Villa District isn’t accessible to the middle class, unless they bring sincere intentions and wait at the door to "coincidentally" meet Lynch when going out or returning home.
The man thought for a while, offering comfort, "Maybe things won’t turn out so bad; he’s so famous, wouldn’t hold grudges over this, Judith is just a young girl..."
But Mr. Lynch doesn’t seem to think so!
